L49<\/strong><\/a>\uff1aThe Naithonburi Beach Resort sits at the very edge of the mountains of the Sririnat National Park in Phuket and overlooks the Andaman Sea. Once a rice paddy field, previous farmers also planted an abundance of sugar palm trees, which still cast their shadows throughout the site today.<\/p>\n

The Naithon beach is located at a distance of 30 meters away from the resort. Without direct view to the beach, the resort provides the guests with a vast green open space and an artificial lagoon at the inner areas of the site, surrounded by guest rooms. The design intends to let guests enjoy the views of the sea, the lagoon, and the green open space, assuring guests with a relaxed and tranquil environment.<\/p>\n

The breathtaking views of the mountains and the palm trees are unique assets of the area. The lagoon is situated under the sugar palm trees with mountains as its background to provide the guests with the experience of the site\u2019s characteristics. As the guests approach from the main circulation paths, the green barrier keeps the lagoon from being seen. The visual sequence then opens up to a sandy beach pool for kids. This gentle sandy beach slope leads to the jacuzzi, set secluded between a group of palm trees and with the best views of the mountains. Guests can enjoy the spacious jacuzzi before arriving at the level of the main lagoon area.<\/p>\n

At this entrance level, the focal point leads to a pool bar with a seating area. Existing palm trees and the location of their roots also contribute to the curves of the lagoon. All trees were kept intact to avoid disturbances to the existing ecosystem during the construction of the lagoon. With rigorous and in-depth analysis, the site\u2019s features and constraints guide towards a design that is serene, well balanced, and without the need for any new design concepts.<\/p>\n
