LeuWebb Projects<\/strong><\/a>\uff1a2019\u5e745\u6708\uff0cNoa Bronstein\u53ca\u827a\u672f\u5bb6Joi T. Arcand\u3001Germaine Koh\u3001Morris Lum\u7b49\u4eba\u5728\u52a0\u62ff\u5927\u5b89\u5927\u7565\u7701\u7c73\u897f\u7d22\u52a0\u5171\u540c\u7b79\u529e\u4e86\u4e00\u4e2a\u540d\u4e3a\u201cPublic Volumes\u201d\u7684\u5c55\u89c8\u6d3b\u52a8\u3002\u4ee5\u56f4\u680f\u4f5c\u4e3a\u5212\u5206\u516c\u5171\u7a7a\u95f4\u548c\u79c1\u4eba\u7a7a\u95f4\u754c\u9650\uff0c\u4ee5\u53ca\u9650\u5236\u6d3b\u52a8\u548c\u7ec6\u5206\u666f\u89c2\u7684\u6807\u5fd7\u7684\u201cLong Division\u201d\u827a\u672f\u88c5\u7f6e\u662f\u6b64\u6b21\u5c55\u89c8\u7684\u53d7\u9080\u5c55\u51fa\u4f5c\u54c1\u4e4b\u4e00\u3002<\/p>\n

LeuWebb Projects<\/strong><\/a>\uff1aThe work was commissioned for the \u2018Public Volumes\u2019 exhibition, May 2019, curated by Noa Bronstein, and including artists Joi T. Arcand, Germaine Koh, Morris Lum and others, in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. This large-scale outdoor installation considers the fence as a marker for exclusion and the boundaries that are drawn around public and private spaces, circumscribing movement and subdividing the landscape.<\/p>\n

\u867d\u7136\u56f4\u680f\u5c4f\u969c\u5e38\u5e38\u6d89\u53ca\u5230\u63a7\u5236\u4e0e\u6743\u529b\u7b49\u66f4\u5927\u7684\u76f8\u5173\u95ee\u9898\uff0c\u4f46\u5b83\u4eec\u540c\u65f6\u4e5f\u4f1a\u8d77\u5230\u4e00\u5b9a\u7684\u5b89\u5168\u4e0e\u5e87\u62a4\u4f5c\u7528\uff0cLeuWebb\u7684\u201cLong Division\u201d\u88c5\u7f6e\u63d0\u53d6\u8fd9\u79cd\u5bf9\u7acb\u5173\u7cfb\uff0c\u4ee5\u56f4\u680f\u4e3a\u51fa\u53d1\u70b9\uff0c\u7814\u7a76\u5e76\u5c55\u793a\u4e86\u5b89\u5927\u7565\u5e03\u62c9\u5fb7\u5229\u535a\u7269\u9986(Bradley Museum)\u5bc6\u897f\u7d22\u52a0(Mississauga)\u5468\u56f4\u7684\u571f\u5730\u662f\u5982\u4f55\u88ab\u5360\u9886\u3001\u5b9a\u5c45\u548c\u6b96\u6c11\u7684\u3002<\/p>\n

While barriers are often implicated in larger concerns related to control and power structures, fences can also provide security and sanctuary. Drawing out these tensions, LeuWebb Project\u2019s site-specific work \u2018Long Division\u2019 uses the fence as a starting off point to consider how the land around Mississauga, Ontario\u2019s Bradley Museum has been occupied, settled and colonized.<\/p>\n

\u8fd9\u4e2a\u5927\u5730\u88c5\u7f6e\u827a\u672f\u7684\u7279\u8272\u5728\u4e8e\u5176\u4e00\u7cfb\u5217\u6709\u7740\u79bb\u6563\u5f00\u53e3\u7684\u677e\u6563\u540c\u5fc3\u5706\uff0c\u5b83\u4eec\u5f15\u5bfc\u7740\u53c2\u4e0e\u8005\u5728\u6805\u680f\u5c42\u5185\u4e0d\u65ad\u79fb\u52a8\uff0c\u5e76\u6700\u7ec8\u5c06\u4eba\u4eec\u5438\u5f15\u5230\u4e00\u4e2a\u5c01\u95ed\u7684\u4e2d\u5fc3\u5706\u73af\u4e2d\u3002\u65e0\u8bba\u5411\u524d\u8fd8\u662f\u5411\u540e\u770b\uff0c\u2018Long Division\u2019\u90fd\u5728\u8868\u8fbe\u5bf9\u573a\u5730\u8d77\u59cb\u70b9\u548c\u5b9a\u5c45\u70b9\u7684\u8d28\u7591\uff0c\u540c\u65f6\u7740\u773c\u4e8e\u56f4\u5899\u5411\u5916\u6269\u5c55\u5230\u5f53\u524d\u548c\u8fd1\u671f\u7684\u56fd\u5bb6\u548c\u8fb9\u754c\u6982\u5ff5\uff0c\u8fb9\u754c\u7684\u4e0d\u53ef\u6e17\u900f\u6027\u4ee5\u53ca\u5bf9\u79fb\u6c11\u548c\u96be\u6c11\u884c\u52a8\u81ea\u7531\u4e0d\u65ad\u53d8\u5316\u7684\u5173\u7cfb\u548c\u6001\u5ea6\u3002<\/p>\n

The land art installation features a series of loosely concentric rings with discrete openings, inviting participants to move within the layers of fencing, ultimately drawing people to the impenetrable centre ring. Looking both forward and backwards, LeuWebb\u2019s \u2018Long Division\u2019 calls into question the site\u2019s origins and settlement while looking to the fence to expand outward to the current and near-future ideas of nation and boundary, the impermeability of borders and the shifting relationships and attitudes toward migrant\u2019s and refugee\u2019s freedom of movement.<\/p>\n

\u827a\u672f\u5bb6\u4eec\u4e5f\u8fdb\u4e00\u6b65\u89e3\u91ca\u9053\uff1a\u201c\u8be5\u4f5c\u54c1\u4e5f\u4e0e\u5e03\u62c9\u5fb7\u5229\u535a\u7269\u9986\u573a\u5730\u8fdb\u884c\u4e86\u5bf9\u8bdd\uff0c\u5e76\u589e\u52a0\u4e86\u4e00\u4e2a\u65b0\u7684\u5173\u952e\u5c42\uff0c\u6253\u5f00\u4e86\u5173\u4e8e\u63a7\u5236\u3001\u6392\u65a5\u548c\u5305\u5bb9\u7684\u95ee\u9898\uff0c\u6700\u7ec8\u8bd5\u56fe\u901a\u8fc7\u98a0\u8986\u6805\u680f\u7684\u529f\u80fd\u548c\u5f62\u5f0f\u8d28\u91cf\u6765\u4f7f\u6805\u680f\u7684\u6982\u5ff5\u590d\u6742\u5316\uff0c\u4ece\u800c\u6fc0\u53d1\u73a9\u800d\u548c\u53c2\u4e0e\u5f0f\u7ed3\u6784\u7684\u64cd\u63a7\u6f5c\u529b\u3002\u201d<\/p>\n

The artists further explain that this work \u201cengages in a dialogue with the Bradley Museum site and adds a new critical layer that opens up questions about control, exclusion and inclusion, ultimately seeking to complicate the idea of fence through subverting its function and formal qualities, inviting the potential for play and participatory structural manipulations.\u201d<\/p>\n
