The plan reconciles complex circulation and multiple programs to present an open space that is welcoming, legible, and civic minded.<\/p>\n

\u8be5\u5e73\u9879\u76ee\u7531\u4e00\u7cfb\u5217\u7279\u8272\u533a\u57df\u7ec4\u6210\u2014\u2014\u957f\u5eca\u3001\u524d\u5eca\u3001\u5706\u5f62\u5267\u573a\u3001\u4e2d\u592e\u5e7f\u573a\u548c\u957f\u51f3\u6563\u6b65\u533a\uff0c\u5982\u540c\u201c1+1\u5927\u4e8e2\u201d\u7684\u6982\u5ff5\u6a21\u5f0f\uff0c\u6240\u6709\u7684\u533a\u57df\u7ec4\u5408\u5728\u4e00\u8d77\u5c31\u5f62\u6210\u4e86\u4e00\u4e2a\u72ec\u4e00\u65e0\u4e8c\u7684\u7279\u8272\u5f00\u653e\u7a7a\u95f4\uff0c\u670d\u52a1\u4e8e\u5468\u8fb9\u533b\u9662\u5de5\u4f5c\u4eba\u5458\u3001\u6e38\u5ba2\u3001\u52a0\u5dde\u5927\u5b66\u65e7\u91d1\u5c71\u5206\u6821\u7684\u6559\u804c\u5de5\u3001\u5458\u5de5\u548c\u5b66\u751f\uff0c\u4ee5\u53ca\u4e1c\u90e8\u6d77\u6ee8\u7684\u5468\u8fb9\u793e\u533a\u5c45\u6c11\u3002<\/p>\n

The plan is a composition of distinctive zones\u2014the Promenade, the Front Porch, the Amphitheater, Central Plaza and Bench-walk.\u00a0 All features add up to a specific and unique identity for the open space; a sum greater than its parts. 4th Street Plaza serves adjacent hospital workers, visitors, the UCSF faculty, staff and students, and surrounding communities of the eastern waterfront.<\/p>\n
