Park + Associates<\/strong><\/a>\uff1aIn a usual circumstance, the front of the house is the most important – not in our case. House 24 is sited on a triangular plot, a constraint that we took on as an opportunity to really engage with the siting and planning of the house – to achieve a meaningful footprint that actualised the client\u2019s spatial, functional, and privacy requirement. Moreover, the site adjoins a lushly landscaped state land that we endeavoured to take advantage of at every available opportunity and every habitable space.<\/p>\n

\u6211\u4eec\u628a\u623f\u5b50\u9009\u5740\u5728\u8fdc\u79bb\u4e3b\u5e72\u9053\u548c\u90bb\u8fd1\u4f4f\u5b85\u7684\u5730\u65b9\uff0c\u8ba9\u5176\u751f\u6d3b\u7a7a\u95f4\u9762\u5411\u8fdc\u5904\u90c1\u90c1\u8471\u8471\u7684\u7eff\u8272\u690d\u7269\uff0c\u5e76\u521b\u5efa\u4e86\u4e00\u4e2a\u7531\u4e24\u4e2a\u4f53\u5757\u7ec4\u6210\u7684\u5efa\u7b51\uff0c\u8fd9\u4e24\u4e2a\u7ec4\u5408\u5728\u4e00\u8d77\u7684\u4f53\u5757\uff0c\u5728\u4e00\u697c\u5f62\u6210\u4e86\u4e00\u4e2aV\u5f62\u5ead\u9662\uff0c\u5b83\u4f5c\u4e3a\u4f4f\u5b85\u7684\u4e3b\u8981\u516c\u5171\u6d3b\u52a8\u548c\u5a31\u4e50\u7a7a\u95f4\uff0c\u5176\u4e3b\u8981\u666f\u89c2\u6765\u81ea\u5468\u56f4\u7684\u7eff\u8272\u690d\u7269\u3002<\/p>\n

As such, we turned the house away from the main road and neighbouring houses, and instead have the living spaces open out to the mature greenery beyond. The result is a massing comprising of two blocks which, when combined, define a V-shaped patio on the first floor that becomes the focal point of common activities and entertainment, borrowing views from the surrounding greenery.<\/p>\n

\u9762\u5411\u8857\u9053\u7684\u5ead\u9662\u5c4f\u98ce\u662f\u5bf9\u4f20\u7edf\u4f4f\u5b85\u8fdb\u5165\u987a\u5e8f\u7684\u4e00\u79cd\u91cd\u65b0\u601d\u8003\uff0c\u4e5f\u662f\u4e00\u79cd\u5bf9\u521b\u9020\u66f4\u591a\u5c42\u6b21\u548c\u8fde\u7eed\u4f53\u9a8c\u7684\u63a2\u7d22\u3002\u5b83\u4f5c\u4e3a\u4e00\u4e2a\u4eea\u5f0f\u4f53\u9a8c\u7a7a\u95f4\uff0c\u6807\u5fd7\u7740\u516c\u5171\u548c\u79c1\u4eba\u7a7a\u95f4\u4e4b\u95f4\u7684\u8fc7\u6e21\uff0c\u9759\u8c27\u53c8\u5b89\u5b81\u3002<\/p>\n

The courtyard screen fronting the street is an exercise in rethinking the conventional entry sequence of residential dwellings, and an exploration in creating a more layered and sequential experience. It is experienced almost as a ritual space – serene and tranquil – marking the transition between the public and private.<\/p>\n

\u8be5\u5c4f\u98ce\u4e5f\u662f\u6211\u4eec\u63a2\u7d22\u6728\u6750\u5de5\u827a\u5728\u5f53\u4ee3\u5efa\u7b51\u4e2d\u7684\u610f\u4e49\u7684\u673a\u4f1a\u3002\u6211\u4eec\u4e8b\u5148\u9884\u60f3\u4e2d\u7684\u5c4f\u98ce\u662f\u4e00\u4e2a\u5177\u6709\u73b0\u4ee3\u7f8e\u5b66\u548c\u7ec6\u8282\u7684\u7cbe\u81f4\u5143\u7d20\uff0c\u6700\u7ec8\u5448\u73b0\u51fa\u7684\u662f\u4e00\u4e2a\u7cbe\u81f4\u6709\u8282\u594f\u7684\u7acb\u9762\uff0c\u5373\u4f7f\u662f\u4e00\u4e2a\u8d85\u8fc78\u7c73\u9ad8\u7684\u7ed3\u6784\uff0c\u4e5f\u5438\u5f15\u4e86\u4eba\u4eec\u5bf9\u5176\u7cbe\u81f4\u5c3a\u5ea6\u7684\u5173\u6ce8\u3002\u6bcf\u5929\u4e0d\u540c\u65f6\u95f4\u6bb5\u6e17\u900f\u8fdb\u6765\u7684\u9633\u5149\u90fd\u4f1a\u4ea7\u751f\u4e0d\u540c\u7684\u7f8e\u4e3d\u5149\u5f71\uff0c\u5e76\u4f34\u968f\u7740\u6d41\u5165\u7684\u81ea\u7136\u7a7a\u6c14\uff0c\u4e3a\u7528\u6237\u8425\u9020\u51fa\u4e00\u4e2a\u8f7b\u677e\u7684\u6c1b\u56f4\uff0c\u540c\u65f6\u4e5f\u5f3a\u5316\u4e86\u5ba2\u6237\u6240\u61a7\u61ac\u7684\u70ed\u5e26\u5730\u57df\u7279\u8272\u3002<\/p>\n

It was also an opportunity to explore what timber craftsmanship might mean in contemporary architecture, and we envisioned the screen to be a well-crafted element with modern aesthetic and detailing. It eventually manifested itself as a refined and rhythmic facade, drawing attention to its delicate scale even as a structure that is over 8m high. A delightful pattern of light and shadow plays out over the course of each day whilst allowing sunlight to filter in and natural air to stream in, creating a relaxing ambience that reinforces the client\u2019s desire to live in a home that reflected its tropical locality.<\/p>\n
