Oppenheim Architecture<\/strong><\/a>\uff1aThe City of Muttenz, Switzerland, commissioned Oppenheim Architecture Europe to design the city\u2019s new municipal water purification plant. The plant is a model of sustainability and extremely sensitive to its contrasting setting near the Rhine riverfront. Nestled between the protected forest and the nearby industrial parks, the project also holds an exhibition and educational area that explains the complex purification process.<\/p>\n

The function of the drinking water treatment plant is to create a new landmark for the town of Muttenz and the Basel area. The architecture expresses the unique and state-of-the-art technology held within and emphasizes the importance of the purification process. The building sits inside a lush green forest next to the river Rhein. This contrasting context – the natural and the industrial – is expressed in the architectural concept.<\/p>\n

\u4e3a\u786e\u4fdd\u7a46\u6ed5\u8328\u5c45\u6c11\u996e\u7528\u4e0a\u6700\u4f18\u8d28\u7684\u6c34\u6e90\uff0c\u8be5\u51c0\u6c34\u5382\u91c7\u7528\u7684\u662f\u6700\u5148\u8fdb\u7684\u4e09\u6bb5\u5de5\u827a\uff0c\u56e0\u6b64\uff0c\u51c0\u6c34\u5185\u90e8\u8bbe\u65bd\u7684\u5e03\u5c40\u51b3\u5b9a\u4e86\u5efa\u7b51\u7684\u5f62\u5f0f\u548c\u5927\u5c0f\u3002\u5c31\u50cf\u4e00\u4ef6\u7d27\u8d34\u7740\u76ae\u80a4\u7684\u7d27\u8eab\u8863\uff0c\u5b83\u7684\u5916\u5728\u8868\u73b0\u5c31\u4ee3\u8868\u7740\u5185\u5728\u7684\u6280\u672f\u751f\u547d\u3002\u5efa\u7b51\u7acb\u9762\u901a\u8fc7\u62bd\u8c61\u5730\u8be0\u91ca\u5185\u90e8\u7ba1\u9053\u3001\u8fc7\u6ee4\u5668\u548c\u5176\u5b83\u8bbe\u5907\uff0c\u5728\u5176\u81ea\u7136\u73af\u5883\u4e2d\u7b80\u5316\u4e3a\u5176\u7269\u8d28\u6027\u548c\u5f62\u5f0f\uff0c\u5f62\u6210\u4e86\u4e00\u4e2a\u6781\u5bcc\u8868\u73b0\u529b\u7684\u5efa\u7b51\uff0c\u5b9b\u5982\u4e00\u4e2a\u201c\u827a\u672f\u54c1\u201d\u3002<\/p>\n

The drinking water purification plant houses a state of the art 3-phased process that ensures the highest quality of water for the citizens of Muttenz. The engineering-driven arrangement of the interior defines the form and the size of the building. Like a tight dress, the skin presses against it and represents the technical inner life to the outside. Pipelines, filters, and apparatuses can be read through the fa\u00e7ade abstractly. The result is an expressive building, acting as an \u2018objet trouv\u00e9\u2019 in its natural context and reduced to its materiality and form.<\/p>\n

\u516c\u5171\u533a\u662f\u4e00\u4e2a\u5f15\u5bfc\u6e38\u5ba2\u901a\u8fc7\u4e0d\u540c\u7684\u5efa\u7b51\u533a\u57df\u4f53\u9a8c\u4e0d\u540c\u51c0\u5316\u9636\u6bb5\u8fc7\u7a0b\u7684\u6559\u5b66\u53d9\u4e8b\u7a7a\u95f4\uff0c\u53c2\u89c2\u8005\u53ef\u4ee5\u5728\u8fd9\u91cc\u76f4\u63a5\u6b23\u8d4f\u590d\u6742\u7684\u51c0\u5316\u8fc7\u7a0b\uff0c\u7528\u6240\u6709\u611f\u5b98\u6765\u611f\u53d7\u548c\u4f53\u9a8c\u201c\u6c34\u201d\u3002\u516c\u5171\u533a\u7684\u4e2d\u592e\u5f00\u653e\u5e73\u53f0\u4f5c\u4e3a\u96c6\u6563\u533a\u548c\u6f14\u8bb2\u821e\u53f0\uff0c\u5c31\u5750\u843d\u5728\u4e00\u4e2a\u7528\u4e8e\u6536\u96c6\u5c4b\u9876\u503e\u6cfb\u800c\u4e0b\u7684\u96e8\u6c34\u7684\u6c34\u6c60\u4e0a\uff0c\u50cf\u51f9\u5ba4\u4e00\u6837\uff0c\u7b80\u7ea6\u800c\u7eaf\u51c0\u3002\u968f\u7740\u65f6\u95f4\u7684\u6d41\u901d\u548c\u5b63\u8282\u53d8\u6362\uff0c\u8fd9\u4e2a\u7a7a\u95f4\u4e5f\u4f1a\u53d8\u5f97\u6f6e\u6e7f\u3001\u5bd2\u51b7\u800c\u795e\u79d8\u3002<\/p>\n

A public area allows the population to appreciate the complex process transparently and will celebrate water with all senses \u2014 a pedagogical spatial narrative guides visitors through the different building areas and process phases. A central open platform serves as a collection area and as a stage for the presentations. This alcove-like room is pure, open to the outside and sits on a pool of water \u2013 reflecting the daylight and collecting the rainwater pouring in from the roof. Depending on the time and season, the space can be moist, cold and mystical.<\/p>\n
