Balmori Associates<\/strong><\/a>\uff1aLocated in the affluent neighborhood of Vila Ol\u00edmpia, the park and mixed-use towers designed by Balmori Associates, Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects and Atelier 10 on a 3.84 hectare site (9.48 acre) opened summer of 2017. Back in 2009, the team had won an invited international competition. The program called for two 30-story commercial towers with offices, convention center, caf\u00e9 and restaurant, and an extensive landscape. Balmori Associates\u2019 landscape strategy is to display the treasures of the Mata Atl\u00e2ntica and its rich ecological benefits; create a continuous ecosystem while integrating landscape and architecture.A new park designed by Balmori Associates at S\u00e3o Paulo Corporate Towers celebrates the Mata Atl\u00e2ntica forest\u2019s biodiversity and spatial richness in the dense urban fabric of S\u00e3o Paulo.<\/p>\n

\u5386\u53f2\u4e0a\uff0c\u5df4\u897f\u7684\u6574\u4e2a\u6d77\u5cb8\u90fd\u66fe\u662fMata Atl\u00e2ntica\u68ee\u6797 (\u4e5f\u79f0\u4e3a\u5927\u897f\u6d0b\u68ee\u6797) \u7684\u8303\u56f4\uff0c\u5360\u5730\u7403\u7eff\u5730\u7cfb\u7edf\u76848\uff05\u3002 \u5b83\u66fe\u662f\u4e16\u754c\u4e0a\u6700\u5065\u5eb7\u7684\u751f\u6001\u7cfb\u7edf\u4e4b\u4e00\uff0c\u4e16\u754c\u4e0a\u4e00\u4e9b\u8457\u540d\u7684\u89c2\u8d4f\u690d\u7269\u90fd\u5728\u8fd9\u91cc\u51fa\u73b0\u8fc7\uff0c\u5305\u62ec\u5929\u5802\u9e1f (Caesalpinia)\uff0c\u9f99\u867e\u722a (Heliconia)\u548c\u5e1d\u56fd\u51e4\u68a8 (Alcantarea imperialis)\u3002\u73b0\u4eca\uff0c\u5df4\u897f\u4eba\u53e3\u7684\u589e\u957f\u548c\u519c\u6797\u4ea7\u4e1a\u7684\u6269\u5927\u4fb5\u5360\u4e86\u539f\u751f\u7269\u7fa4\u843d\u6816\u606f\u5730\uff0c\u5bfc\u81f4\u539f\u751f\u6001\u7fa4\u843d\u4ec5\u5b58\u7559\u4e0d\u52307\uff05\u3002 \u8fd9\u6837\u7684\u884c\u4e3a\u9020\u6210\u4e86Mata Atl\u00e2ntica\u68ee\u6797\u677f\u5757\u7684\u7834\u788e\u5316\uff0c\u4f7f\u5f97\u539f\u751f\u6001\u7cfb\u7edf\u8c03\u8282\u6e29\u5ea6\u7684\u80fd\u529b\u51cf\u5f31\uff0c\u91ce\u751f\u52a8\u690d\u7269\u7684\u6816\u606f\u5730\u4e27\u5931\u3002<\/p>\n

\u9879\u76ee\u4e2d19000\u5e73\u65b9\u7c73 (204500\u5e73\u65b9\u82f1\u5c3a) \u516c\u56ed\u7684\u8bbe\u8ba1\u6982\u5ff5\u65e8\u5728\u4fdd\u62a4\u548c\u4fee\u590dMataAtl\u00e2ntica\u68ee\u6797\u3002Balmori Associates \u521b\u59cb\u4eba\uff0c\u5df2\u6545\u7684\u6234\u5b89\u5a1c\u00b7\u5df4\u5c14\u83ab\u91cc (Diana Balmori) \u8bf4\uff1a\u201c\u8be5\u9879\u76ee\u7684\u4e3b\u8981\u7279\u70b9\u662f\u690d\u88ab\u7684\u5927\u5c0f\u548c\u79cd\u7c7b\u3002\u5728\u8fd9\u91cc\u79cd\u4e00\u4e9b\u5177\u6709 Mata Atl\u00e2ntica \u68ee\u6797\u7279\u6027\u7684\u690d\u7269\u4e0d\u4ec5\u6709\u52a9\u4e8e\u6e05\u6d01\u7a7a\u6c14\uff0c\u5e26\u6765\u51c9\u723d\uff0c\u8fd8\u80fd\u4e3a\u4eba\u4eec\u521b\u9020\u4e00\u4e2a\u6109\u60a6\u7684\u73af\u5883\u3002\u201d<\/p>\n

Historically, the entire coast of Brazil was occupied by the Mata Atl\u00e2ntica, also known as the Atlantic Forest. It was one of the healthiest ecosystems in the world, accounting for 8% of the earth plants; and has some of the most famous ornamental plants in the world including Bird of Paradise (Caesalpinia), Lobster-Claw (Heliconia) and Imperial Bromeliad (Alcantarea imperialis). Today, over half of the population of Brazil and most of the country\u2019s agricultural and forestry production stands over the original biome extent. Consequently, less than 7% of this Brazilian ecosystem remains undisturbed. In the city of S\u00e3o Paulo, the Mata Atl\u00e2ntica forest exists in isolated patches. The fragmented ecosystem has less resilience to warmer temperatures and a negative effect on wildlife habitat.<\/p>\n

The concept for the 19,000 square-meter-park (204,500 square feet) was driven by the preservation and restoration of the Mata Atl\u00e2ntica Forest found on the site. \u201cThe main characteristic of the project is the size and variety of the vegetation,\u201d said the late Diana Balmori, founder of Balmori Associates. \u201cBringing back some the intensity of the Mata Atl\u00e2ntica to the site helps to clean the air, keep it cooler, and create an environment for people that is pleasant and enjoyable.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u636e\u8bb0\u8f7d\uff0cMata Atl\u00e2ntica\u68ee\u6797\u4e2d\u51fa\u73b0\u8fc712\u5c42\u4e0d\u540c\u7684\u6811\u51a0\uff0c\u9ad8\u8fbe45\u7c73 (147\u82f1\u5c3a) \u7684\u6811\u79cd\u3002\u4e3a\u4e86\u4fdd\u62a4\u573a\u5730\u4e2d\u6d3b\u4e86\u51e0\u5341\u5e74\u7684\u53c2\u5929\u5927\u6811\uff0c Balmori Associates\u4e0e\u5efa\u7b51\u5e08\u548c\u4e1a\u4e3b\u901a\u529b\u5408\u4f5c\uff0c\u8fdb\u884c\u4e86\u4e00\u7cfb\u5217\u7684\u4fdd\u62a4\u5de5\u4f5c\u3002\u90a3\u4e9b\u957f\u5728\u9700\u8981\u65bd\u5de5\u548c\u5efa\u9020\u5730\u4e0b\u505c\u8f66\u573a\u533a\u57df\u7684\u6811\u90fd\u88ab\u79fb\u690d\u5230\u4e86\u573a\u5730\u7684\u8fb9\u7f18\uff0c\u5e76\u5728\u73b0\u6709171\u68f5\u6811\u57fa\u7840\u4e0a\uff0c\u65b0\u683d\u4e86100\u591a\u68f5\u5177\u6709 Mata Atl\u00e2ntica \u68ee\u6797\u7279\u6027\u7684\u6811\u3002\u4e3a\u4e86\u52a0\u5f3a\u6b63\u5165\u53e3\u5e7f\u573a\u7684\u6807\u8bc6\u611f\uff0cBalmori Associates\u63d0\u8bae\u5728\u5e7f\u573a\u4e0a\u79cd\u4e0a\u5f53\u5730\u5341\u51e0\u79cd\u4e0d\u540c\u54c1\u79cd\u7684Ip\u00ea (Handroanthus spp.) \u6811\u6765\u8425\u9020\u6c1b\u56f4\u3002\u516c\u56ed\u91cc\u79cd\u7684Quaresmeira \u6216\u7d2b\u7f57\u5170 (Tibouchina granulosa) \u5728\u8461\u8404\u7259\u8bed\u4e2d\u4e5f\u88ab\u79f0\u4f5c\u8be5\u751f\u6001\u6591\u5757\u5185\u7684\u4ee3\u8868\u6811\u79cd\u3002<\/p>\n

\u5728\u539f\u690d\u7269\u642d\u914d\u65b9\u6848\u4e2d\uff0c\u4f7f\u7528\u5f53\u5730\u7684\u690d\u7269\u4f5c\u4e3a\u704c\u6728\u5c42\u3002\u4f46\u662f\uff0c\u5f53\u5730\u7684\u82d7\u5703\u53ea\u80fd\u63d0\u4f9b\u5c11\u6570\u672c\u5730\u690d\u7269\uff0c\u800c\u66f4\u591a\u7684\u662f\u6765\u81ea\u5357\u975e\u3001\u6fb3\u5927\u5229\u4e9a\u3001\u8fc8\u963f\u5bc6\u3001\u5370\u5ea6\u548c\u4e16\u754c\u5176\u4ed6\u70ed\u5e26\u5730\u533a\u7684\u690d\u7269\u3002\u56e0\u6b64\uff0cBalmori Associates\u5c06\u65b9\u6848\u91cd\u65b0\u8c03\u6574\u4e3a\u4f7f\u7528Mata Atl\u2013ntica\u68ee\u6797\u7279\u6027\u7684\u690d\u7269\uff0c\u5e76\u5e0c\u671b\u5728\u672a\u6765\u7684\u5e02\u573a\u4e2d\u80fd\u591f\u4e70\u5230\u8fd9\u4e9b\u4e3b\u8981\u7684\u6811\u79cd\u3002<\/p>\n

The Mata Atl\u00e2ntica forest can have up to 12 layers of different canopies, and reach 45 meters high (147 feet.) The site already had some beautiful mature vegetation planted decades ago. Balmori Associates worked closely with the architects and the owner to preserve the existing trees. In areas that needed to be excavated for the buildings and the five- story below- grade parking garage, trees were transplanted to the perimeter of the property. Over a hundred new Mata Atl\u00e2ntica trees were planted along the 171 fully mature ones existing on the site. Balmori Associates proposed the local Ip\u00ea (Handroanthus spp.) as signature tree for the project, creating a display of a dozen different species at the main entrance plaza. The vibrant tree Quaresmeira in Portuguese or Purple Glory (Tibouchina granulosa) was also included as a representative of this ecosystem and region.<\/p>\n

Native under-canopy plants were identified to form the lower layers of the forest. However, local nurseries proposed only few native species and instead favor plants from South Africa, Australia, Miami, India, and other tropical regions of the world. As a result, Balmori Associates reframed the planting palette to only a few dozen species of Mata Atl\u00e2ntica Forest natives. Additional key plants were proposed for the future with the hope that they will become commercially available.<\/p>\n

Located on Avenue Presidente Juscelino Kubitscheck, the park at S\u00e3o Paulo Corporate Towers is at the intersection of major arteries and the nearby Avenue Brigadeiro Faria Lima, Parque do Povo, and Pinheiros River. To blur the site boundaries and integrate the park to the city an undulating fence curved in plan and in elevation weaves through the landscape.<\/p>\n
