Lemay<\/strong><\/a>\uff1aThe Lowney takes its name from the rich industrial past of the birthplace of the Cherry Blossom, a much-loved Canadian chocolate confection originally manufactured by the Walter M. Lowney Company, later taken over by Hershey. Two original buildings were renovated to create a bold residential statement.<\/p>\n

\u8fd9\u5ea7\u5efa\u4e8e20\u4e16\u7eaa\u521d\u7684\u65e7\u5de5\u5382\uff0c\u5728\u8fd9\u6b21\u7684\u6539\u9020\u4e2d\u6574\u5408\u4e86\u4f4f\u5b85\u516c\u5bd3\u3002\u7b2c\u4e00\u9636\u6bb5\u4fdd\u7559\u4e86\u539f\u6709\u7684\u7ea2\u7816\u548c\u590d\u6742\u7684\u6a90\u53e3\uff0c\u5e76\u5728\u65b0\u5efa\u7b51\u4e2d\u878d\u5165\u4e86\u73b0\u4ee3\u9633\u53f0\u8bbe\u8ba1\u3002Lowney\u5171\u5206\u4e3a11\u4e2a\u9636\u6bb5\u8fdb\u884c\u5efa\u8bbe\uff0c\u5230\u76ee\u524d\u4e3a\u6b62\uff0c\u5df2\u7ecf\u5f00\u53d1\u5b8c\u6210\u4e863\u4e2a\u57ce\u5e02\u8857\u533a\u548c1650\u4e2a\u4f4f\u623f\u5355\u5143\u3002<\/p>\n

Built at the beginning of the 20th century, the former factory has undergone a transformation with the integration of residential lofts. The first phases have kept the original red brick and sophisticated cornices, while the new buildings introduce a contemporary vocabulary punctuated with balconies. Divided into 11 phases, the Lowney has evolved into three city blocks and some 1,650 housing units.<\/p>\n

\u6bcf\u4e00\u7ec4\u5efa\u7b51\u5468\u56f4\u90fd\u8bbe\u6709\u4e00\u4e2a\u5171\u4eab\u7684\u82b1\u56ed\uff0c\u5b83\u5728\u4f5c\u4e3a\u4e00\u4e2a\u5f15\u4eba\u6ce8\u76ee\u7684\u7eff\u8272\u7a7a\u95f4\u7684\u540c\u65f6\uff0c\u4e5f\u8f6f\u5316\u4e86\u5bc6\u96c6\u7684\u57ce\u5e02\u808c\u7406\u3002\u82b1\u56ed\u7684\u666f\u89c2\u56f4\u7ed5\u7740\u6a31\u82b1\u6807\u5fd7\u800c\u8bbe\u8ba1\uff1a\u4f5c\u4e3a\u6000\u65e7\u7684\u63d0\u9192\uff0c\u5c55\u793a\u7740\u4e00\u4e2a\u56fd\u5bb6\u7684\u5de5\u4e1a\u5386\u53f2\u3002\u79cd\u690d\u6c60\u7684\u8bbe\u8ba1\u901a\u8fc7\u63d0\u9ad8\u5df2\u5b8c\u6210\u7684\u5730\u9762\u9ad8\u5ea6\uff0c\u6539\u5584\u4e86\u505c\u8f66\u5e93\u4e0a\u65b9\u7684\u79cd\u690d\u6761\u4ef6\u3002\u82b1\u56ed\u5728\u8857\u9053\u548c\u79c1\u4eba\u516c\u5bd3\u4e4b\u95f4\u7684\u8fc7\u6e21\u901a\u9053\u4e2d\u521b\u9020\u4e86\u5fae\u5999\u7684\u660e\u4eae\u82b1\u5703\u3002<\/p>\n

Typically, each grouping of buildings surrounds a shared garden, an eye-catching greenspace that softens the dense urban context. The landscaped garden is designed around the Cherry Blossom emblem: a nostalgic reminder of a nationally recognized industrial past. Planters are used to raise the finished ground level and improve planting conditions above the parking garage, located underneath. A transition between the street and the private lofts, the garden offers subtle luminosity of its flowerbeds amidst connecting pathways.<\/p>\n

The architecture relies on exceptional panoramic views of the city and an orientation that takes advantage of the sun for the project\u2019s common spaces and living areas, while the six-storey podium reflects Griffintown\u2019s traditional industrial built environment. Levels 7 and 8, set back from the lower facades, are glazed to mark the transition between base and towers, contributing to the signature of the project. The roof features an extensive shared landscaped area, terrace and lounge equipped with a dining suite.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
