Guangzhou Library was fully completed and opened to the public on June 23, 2013. As one of the most representative cultural symbols and landmarks in the city, Guangzhou library is now among the busiest libraries in the world. In 2018, Guangzhou Library and its branches, 24-hour library, etc. received 9.329 million visitors in the whole year, and nearly 30000 public visitors per day, setting a new record for the service of China’s public libraries. Since 2019, the Guangzhou municipal government has continued to invest in promoting the construction plan of building “City of Library” in Guangzhou. The Pinxiu Xingyue branch of Guangzhou Library covers an area of about 2000 square meters and is located in a super large community with a construction area of nearly 1 million square meters, aiming to create a modern science and technology exhibition and experience oriented professional public library.<\/p>\n

\u6587\u5316\u7a7a\u95f4\u4e8e\u57ce\u5e02\u800c\u8a00\uff0c\u7a76\u7adf\u610f\u5473\u7740\u4ec0\u4e48\uff1f<\/p>\n

\u6587\u5316\u662f\u4e00\u4e2a\u6781\u5176\u62bd\u8c61\u7684\u6982\u5ff5\uff0c\u4e00\u65b9\u9762\u5b83\u6084\u7136\u5730\u6539\u53d8\u57ce\u5e02\u7684\u6c14\u8d28\u53ca\u5185\u6db5\uff0c\u53e6\u4e00\u65b9\u9762\u5b83\u670d\u52a1\u4e8e\u5e02\u6c11\u7684\u6587\u5316\u751f\u6d3b\u4e14\u63d0\u5347\u751f\u6d3b\u54c1\u8d28\u3002\u5e7f\u5dde\u56fe\u4e66\u9986\u7684\u54c1\u79c0\u661f\u6a3e\u5206\u9986\uff0c\u4f5c\u4e3a\u793e\u4f1a\u529b\u91cf\u53c2\u4e0e\u5171\u5efa\u7684\u5206\u9986\uff0c\u5851\u9020\u4f20\u627f\u4e0e\u521b\u610f\u7684\u6620\u5c04\u7684\u7a7a\u95f4\u5f62\u8c61\u5177\u6709\u76f8\u5f53\u91cd\u8981\u7684\u610f\u4e49\u3002<\/p>\n

What does cultural space mean to a city?<\/p>\n

Culture is an extremely abstract concept. On the one hand, it quietly changes the temperament and connotation of the city. On the other hand, it serves the cultural life of citizens and improves the quality of life. The Pinxiu Xingyue branch of the Guangzhou Library, as a branch jointly constructed by social forces, is of great significance in shaping the spatial image of inheritance and creativity.<\/p>\n

\u900f\u660e\u76d2\u5b50 <\/strong>Transparent Box<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u8be5\u9986\u4f4d\u4e8e\u793e\u533a\u7684\u5165\u53e3\u5904\uff0c\u4e09\u5c42\u9ad8\u7684\u5efa\u7b51\u4e3b\u4f53\u4e3a\u4e00\u4e2a\u4ee5\u73bb\u7483\u5e55\u5899\u4e3a\u4e3b\u6750\u7684\u900f\u660e\u76d2\u5b50\uff0c\u521b\u5efa\u4e00\u4e2a\u6613\u4e8e\u770b\u89c1\u4e14\u8bc6\u522b\u7684\u5f62\u8c61\u3002\u8be5\u5efa\u7b51\u5728\u767d\u663c\u7684\u65e5\u5149\u4e2d\u6676\u83b9\u7075\u52a8\uff0c\u5728\u9ed1\u591c\u7684\u706f\u5149\u91cc\u91ca\u653e\u6e29\u67d4\u3002\u8fd9\u680b\u73bb\u7483\u5efa\u7b51\u7684\u5916\u90e8\u5206\u5e03\u7740\u901a\u9ad8\u7684\u67f1\u4f53\uff0c\u4e0e\u67f1\u5e95\u7684\u706f\u5149\u7ed3\u5408\uff0c\u5f62\u6210\u706f\u5854\u5149\u67f1\uff0c\u5f3a\u8c03\u7a7a\u95f4\u7684\u795e\u5723\u6027\u3002<\/p>\n

The library is located at the entrance of the community. The main body of the three storey building is a transparent box with glass curtain wall as the main material, creating an easy to see and identify image. The building is crystal clear in the daylight and gentle in the light of night. The outside of the glass building is surrounded by high-rise columns, which are combined with the light at the bottom of the column to form a light column as a lighthouse, emphasizing the sanctity of the space.<\/p>\n

\u8bbe\u8ba1\u5e08\u4ee5\u5ba1\u89c6\u57ce\u5e02\u4e0e\u4eba\u7684\u60c5\u611f\u8054\u7cfb\u3001\u7a7a\u95f4\u4e0e\u4eba\u7684\u5171\u9e23\u5173\u7cfb\u7684\u89c6\u89d2\uff0c\u8ba9\u5e02\u6c11\u5728\u7a7f\u884c\u4e8e\u8fd9\u7247\u8d85\u5927\u4f53\u91cf\u793e\u533a\u65f6\uff0c\u4ee5\u5b83\u4e3a\u539f\u70b9\uff0c\u65e0\u8bba\u662f\u79bb\u5f00\u8fd8\u662f\u8fd4\u56de\uff0c\u90fd\u8d77\u5230\u706f\u5854\u7684\u4f5c\u7528\uff0c\u91ca\u653e\u51fa\u201c\u62b5\u8fbe\u201d\u7684\u4fe1\u53f7\u3002<\/p>\n

From the perspective of examining the emotional connection between the city and people, and the resonance relationship between space and people, the designers let the citizens take it as the starting point when they walk through this super large community. Whether they leave or return, the column will play the role of a lighthouse and release the signal of “arrival”.<\/p>\n

\u4e3a\u4e86\u8ba9\u8bfb\u8005\u4e0d\u518d\u201c\u56f0\u201c\u4e8e\u5efa\u7b51\u5185\uff0c\u89c6\u91ce\u4e0a\u83b7\u5f97\u66f4\u5f00\u9614\u7684\u5ba4\u5916\u666f\u81f4\uff0c\u8bbe\u8ba1\u5e08\u91c7\u7528\u5927\u9762\u79ef\u73bb\u7483\u5e55\u5899\u4f5c\u4e3a\u5efa\u7b51\u8868\u76ae\u3002\u4f7f\u7a7a\u95f4\u6ee1\u8db3\u53cc\u5411\u901a\u900f\u540e\uff0c\u9633\u5149\u76f4\u5c04\u7684\u95ee\u9898\u53c8\u7ed9\u8bbe\u8ba1\u5e26\u6765\u6311\u6218\u3002\u5728\u7b80\u6d01\u7684\u5efa\u7b51\u5916\u8868\u4e0b\u9690\u85cf\u7740\u4e00\u4e2a\u770b\u4f3c\u7b80\u5355\u5b9e\u5219\u590d\u6742\u7684\u8bbe\u8ba1\u65b9\u6848\u3002<\/p>\n

In order to let readers no longer “trapped” in the building, and get a broader view of the outdoor landscape, the designer uses a large area of glass curtain wall as the building surface. Although having made the space transparent in both directions, the problem of direct sunlight brings challenges to the design. So there is a seemingly simple but actually complex design scheme under the simple appearance of the building.<\/p>\n

\u9996\u5148\uff0c\u8bbe\u8ba1\u9700\u8981\u5bf9\u5185\u90e8\u7ed3\u6784\u8fdb\u884c\u8c03\u6574\uff0c\u5c06\u4e24\u5c42\u697c\u677f\u8fdb\u884c\u9519\u4f4d\uff0c\u5f62\u6210\u5bf9\u9633\u5149\u7684\u201c\u81ea\u906e\u6321\u201d\u7684\u529f\u80fd\uff0c\u4e0d\u4ec5\u963b\u9694\u9633\u5149\u76f4\u5c04\u7684\u5149\u7ebf\uff0c\u4e5f\u968f\u4e4b\u964d\u4f4e\u7d2b\u5916\u7ebf\u7684\u8f90\u5c04\u3002\u53e6\u5916\uff0c\u73bb\u7483\u7ec4\u4ef6\u7684\u9694\u70ed\u6027\u9ad8\u4e8e\u666e\u901a\u73bb\u7483\uff0c\u4ece\u800c\u5927\u5927\u964d\u4f4e\u80fd\u8017\u7684\u635f\u5931\u3002<\/p>\n

To start with, the design needs to adjust the internal structure. The two floors are staggered to form the function of “self shielding” to the sunlight, which not only blocks the direct sunlight, but also reduces the ultraviolet radiation. In addition, the thermal insulation of glass components is higher than that of ordinary glass, which greatly reduces the loss of energy consumption.<\/p>\n
