Baumschlager Eberle Architekten<\/strong><\/a>\uff1aTo achieve energy efficiency without high-tech plant, that was the stated aim of Baumschlager Eberle Architekten when they set about designing their new headquarters building in Lustenau. The idea was to create a comfortable working environment without the usual heating, ventilation and cooling technology, to do so using architectural techniques only. The result is a brick building with walls, doors and high ceilings but no conventional plant room: a visionary alternative, a blueprint for the buildings of the future. The design and energy principles that underlie it reflect the collective insights gained in the firm over more than 30 years of architectural practice. And the name 2226 is no accident \u2013 the ambient temperature inside is a constant 22\u00b0C to 26\u00b0C.\u00a0The only heat sources in the building are the people who work in it \u2013 every individual gives off an average of 80 watts of heat \u2013 and the lights and other equipment (computers, photocopiers, coffee machines, etc.) it contains.<\/p>\n

\u57fa\u4e8e\u5efa\u7b51\u81ea\u8eab\u7684\u70ed\u8d28\u91cf\uff0c\u8bbe\u8ba1\u5e08\u6700\u7ec8\u5b9e\u73b0\u4e86\u6052\u6e29\u6548\u679c\uff1a\u539a\u539a\u7684\u5916\u5899\u753138\u5398\u7c73\u7684\u627f\u91cd\u7816\u548c38\u5398\u7c73\u7684\u4fdd\u6e29\u7816\u7ec4\u6210\uff0c\u5899\u4f53\u5185\u5916\u90fd\u7528\u4e86\u77f3\u7070\u7c89\u5237\uff1b\u5e26\u6709\u5782\u76f4\u7a97\u6237\u7684\u9ad8\u5929\u82b1\u677f\u8425\u9020\u4e86\u5bbd\u655e\u3001\u5149\u7ebf\u5145\u8db3\u7684\u7a7a\u95f4\u6c1b\u56f4\uff0c\u540c\u65f6\uff0c\u5f53\u5ba4\u5185\u4e8c\u6c27\u5316\u78b3\u542b\u91cf\u6216\u6e29\u5ea6\u5f00\u59cb\u4e0a\u5347\u65f6\uff0c\u7a97\u6237\u4e0a\u7684\u4f20\u611f\u5668\u63a7\u5236\u901a\u98ce\u677f\u5c31\u4f1a\u81ea\u52a8\u6253\u5f00\u3002\u5728\u708e\u70ed\u7684\u590f\u5b63\uff0c\u901a\u98ce\u677f\u4f1a\u5728\u665a\u4e0a\u6253\u5f00\uff0c\u5229\u7528\u81ea\u7136\u901a\u98ce\u4e3a\u5efa\u7b51\u964d\u6e29\u3002\u7a7a\u8c03\u7cfb\u7edf\u7684\u4f20\u611f\u5668\u4e5f\u53ef\u4ee5\u8986\u76d6\u901a\u98ce\u677f\u8fdb\u884c\u624b\u52a8\u64cd\u4f5c\u3002\u800c\u4e14\uff0c2226\u4e0d\u4ec5\u5728\u73af\u5883\u4e0a\u662f\u53ef\u6301\u7eed\u7684\uff0c\u7528\u6237\u548c\u8def\u4eba\u90fd\u5f88\u6b23\u8d4f\u5b83\u7684\u7f8e\u5b66\u8bbe\u8ba1\uff0c\u5c24\u5176\u662f\u5b83\u7684\u7a7a\u95f4\u54c1\u8d28\u548c\u5b83\u7684\u6750\u6599\u4e4b\u7f8e\uff0c\u8fd9\u662f\u4f7f\u7528\u5bff\u547d\u7684\u53ef\u9760\u4fdd\u8bc1\u3002<\/p>\n

Temperature stability is realised thanks to the building\u2019s own thermal mass. Its thick exterior walls comprise 38cm of load-bearing and 38cm of insulating brickwork and are lime-rendered inside and out. High ceilings with vertical windows create a generous, light-filled atmosphere, while internally hinged, sensor-controlled ventilation panels in the windows open automatically as soon as the CO2 content or the temperature starts to rise. During the heat of summer, the panels open at night and use natural draughts to cool the building. The air conditioning system\u2019s sensors can also be overridden, enabling the ventilation panels to be operated manually. But 2226 is not only environmentally sustainable. Users and passers-by alike appreciate its aesthetics, particularly its spatial qualities and the beauty of its materials, offering a sure guarantee of longevity.<\/p>\n
