GVL Gossamer<\/strong><\/a>: \u201cFishNest Island\u201d by GVL Gossamer & Shanghai Tongji Urban Planning & Design Institute Co.Ltd., has been declared as one of two winners in an international competition jointly organized by the Hangzhou Yongjiang Development Leading Group Office & Hangzhou Municipal Planning and Natural Resources Bureau. The regionally significant site encompasses 32km2 on the Southern fringe of Hangzhou City Center, at the junction of the region\u2019s three major river systems \u2014 the Fuchun, Qiantang, and Puyang Rivers. Known as the \u201cGateway to the Funchun Mountains\u201d and protected from dense urbanization by heritage planning, this once thriving ecosystem is now dominated by industry, villages, farmland, illegal aquaculture and forestry. The Masterplan draws on deep historical and cultural research proposing a sensitive outcome that provides economic and climatic resilience, extends village typologies, remediates agriculture & aquaculture and regenerates local ecosystems.<\/p>\n

\n\u5730\u6751\u6c11\u7684\u4e3b\u8981\u7ecf\u6d4e\u6765\u6e90\u3002\u8bbe\u8ba1\u63d0\u51fa\u4e86\u4e00\u4e2a\u957f\u671f\u4fee\u590d\u8ba1\u5212\uff0c\u51cf\u5c11\u5de5\u4e1a\u6c61\u67d3\u7684\u5f71\u54cd\uff0c\u53c8\u4e0d\u635f\u5bb3\u5f53\u5730\u7684\u751f\u8ba1\u548c\u6587\u5316\u3002\u901a\u8fc7\u5229\u7528\u573a\u5730\u53e4\u8001\u7684\u6e14\u4e1a\u6587\u5316\u4e0e\u7269\u8d28\u9057\u4ea7\uff0c\u201c\u6d54\u9c7b\u5c9b\u201d(\u201cFishNest Island\u201d) \u5b8c\u6210\u5b9e\u73b0\u4e86\u4ece\u4e0d\u53ef\u6301\u7eed\u7684\u6e14\u4e1a\u6d3b\u52a8\u5411\u6c34\u751f\u7e41\u6b96\u6816\u606f\u5730\u548c\u751f\u6001\u53cb\u597d\u4e4c\u6258\u90a6\u578b\u7684\u6c34\u4ea7\u517b\u6b96\u7684\u8f6c\u53d8\u3002\u8fd9\u4e2a\u6280\u672f\u8f6c\u79fb\u6a21\u578b\u4f7f\u5f53\u5730\u4ea7\u4e1a\u91cd\u65b0\u5b9a\u4e49\u4e3a\u53ef\u6301\u7eed\u519c\u4e1a\uff0c\u5e76\u5728\u6587\u5316\u65c5\u6e38\u548c\u73af\u5883\u5fc3\u7406\u5b66\u7814\u7a76\u7b49\u65b9\u9762\u5f97\u5230\u4e0e\u793e\u533a\u5408\u4f5c\u7684\u65b0\u7ecf\u6d4e\u9a71\u52a8\u529b\u7684\u652f\u6301\u3002<\/p>\n

Central to this plan is FishNest Island, currently, a labyrinth of illegally established, pollutant-heavy fishponds that have
\nevolved to become the economic backbone of the local village. The design proposes a long-term remediation plan to
\neliminate dirty industry without diminishing the local livelihood and culture. Leveraging the site\u2019s ancient legacy of fishing, FishNest Island proposes a shift from unsustainable fisheries to a utopia of aquatic breeding habitats and Eco-friendly aquaculture. A skills-transfer model re-orientates the local industry to sustainable farming and is supported by new economic drivers that work with the community, including cultural-tourism and environmental research.<\/p>\n

\u4f4d\u4e8e\u676d\u5dde\u548c\u4e0a\u6d77\u7684\u5468\u672b\u96c6\u6563\u5730\u7684\u201c\u6d54\u9c7b\u5c9b\u201d(\u201cFishNest Island\u201d)\uff0c\u901a\u8fc7\u89c4\u5212\u8bbe\u8ba1\u4e94\u4e2a\u91cd\u70b9\u533a\u57df\u7684\u6d3b\u52a8\uff0c\u6ee1\u8db3\u4e86\u9009\u62e9\u4e00\u65e5\u6e38\u4e0e\u77ed\u9014\u65c5\u884c\u7684\u6e38\u5ba2\u9700\u6c42\u3002\u4fee\u590d\u540e\u7684\u8fd9\u4e94\u4e2a\u533a\u57df\u5305\u62ec\u518d\u751f\u4fdd\u62a4\u533a\uff0c\u4f20\u7edf\u6751\u843d\u4e2d\u5fc3\uff0c\u519c\u6e14\u521b\u65b0\u533a\uff0c\u518d\u751f\u6e7f\u5730\u516c\u56ed\u548c\u4eba\u5c45\u6e14\u6587\u5316\u5eca\u9053\u3002\u6bcf\u4e2a\u533a\u57df\u90fd\u878d\u5408\u4e86\u81ea\u7136\u4f53\u9a8c\u548c\u65c5\u884c\u76ee\u7684\u5730\u6240\u9700\u7684\u57fa\u7840\u8bbe\u65bd\uff0c\u5305\u62ec\u6c34\u4e0a\u5e02\u573a\uff0c\u7814\u7a76\u7c7b\u8bbe\u65bd\u548c\u4fee\u590d\u540e\u7684\u6751\u5e84\u3002\u5728\u6751\u843d\u7684\u4e2d\u5fc3\uff0c\u4e00\u4e2a\u6807\u5fd7\u6027\u7684\u201c\u9c7c\u7f51\u201d\u6a90\u7bf7\u535a\u7269\u9986\u5c55\u793a\u4e86\u8be5\u5730\u533a\u72ec\u7279\u7684\u6e14\u4e1a\u9057\u4ea7\uff0c\u540c\u65f6\u4e00\u7cfb\u5217\u5b75\u5316\u573a\uff0c\u4e5f\u5c55\u793a\u4e86\u53ef\u6301\u7eed\u6c34\u4ea7\u517b\u6b96\u7684\u521b\u65b0\u3002\u91d1\u9ccd\u77ad\u671b\u53f0\u5c79\u7acb\u4e8e\u5c9b\u7684\u6700\u4e1c\u7aef\uff0c\u6cbf\u7740\u5bbd\u9614\u7684\u6ee8\u6c34\u8349\u576a\u4ea6\u53ef\u4eab\u6709\u58ee\u4e3d\u7684\u6c5f\u6cb3\u666f\u8272\u3002\u4e30\u5bcc\u7684\u6d3b\u52a8\u65e5\u5386\u8868\u7528\u4ee5\u6fc0\u6d3b\u6ee8\u6c34\u8349\u576a\uff0c\u4ee5\u786e\u4fdd\u5c0f\u5c9b\u5728\u4e0d\u540c\u5b63\u8282\u62e5\u6709\u8bf8\u5982\u8282\u65e5\u3001\u4ea7\u54c1\u3001\u519c\u4ea7\u54c1\u3001\u827a\u672f\u3001\u666f\u89c2\u548c\u91ce\u751f\u52a8\u690d\u7269\u7b49\u7684\u591a\u6837\u6027\u4f53\u9a8c\u3002<\/p>\n

Located within the weekend catchment of Hangzhou and Shanghai, FishNest Island caters to day-trip and short-
\nstay visitors, with programming across five key zones; The Regeneration Sanctuary, Traditional Village Center, Farming
\n& Fishing Innovation Area, Rehabilitated Fish-Pond Wetland Park and River Habitat & Fishing Culture Corridor. Each zone features a mix of nature experiences as well as destination infrastructure including floating markets, research facilities and a restored lanes. Here, simple renovations re-interpret the gray roofs and white walls that define Hangzhou-style architecture. At its center, a foreshore promenade looks over an iconic \u2018fish-net\u2019 canopy museum that showcases the
\nregion\u2019s distinctive fishing heritage plus a series of hatchery ponds demonstrating innovations in sustainable aquaculture.
\nA golden fin-inspired lookout occupies the island\u2019s most easterly point, commanding breathtaking vistas alongside generous waterfront lawns. The lawns are activated by a detailed calendar of events that ensure a diversity of seasonal
\nexperiences across the island such as local festivals, products, produce, art, landscape and wildlife encounters.<\/p>\n

The Masterplan\u2019s structure responds to complex flooding, tidal, and seasonal conditions, through strategic integration
\nof sluice gates, inlets, hidden dikes, and treatment systems. Altogether, seven aquatic journeys channel, clean and re-use
\nriver water and land runoff to create ten unique habitats each targeting various fish, bird, and plant species. These range
\nfrom rewilded experiences such as mudflats, tidal marshes, grassy everglades, and broadleaf forests to curated solutions including wetland treatment basins, a fish hatchery, mulberry fish pond farming, agroforestry, and deconstructed fish farms into biodiverse wetlands. At the heart of the plan a historic north-south river channel is re-introduced, revealing the original twin island structure.<\/p>\n

Two arrival precincts link the island back to the mainland. Barge ferries and a shared access bridge prioritize pedestrian and cycling movement systems while restricting vehicular access to mostly electric shuttle buses and services\/ maintenance. The precincts reconnect pedestrians with the surrounding rehabilitated riverbanks, transformed from
\nconcrete-laden, road-topped flooding solutions to robust, green, and multifunctional alternatives, inspired by historic bank architecture.<\/p>\n
