Lab D+H<\/strong><\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0\u662f\u4e00\u652f\u8de8\u5b66\u79d1\u7684\u3001\u81f4\u529b\u4e8e\u901a\u8fc7\u8bbe\u8ba1\u4e0e\u89c4\u5212\u4e3a\u793e\u4f1a\u5e26\u6765\u79ef\u6781\u53d8\u5316\u7684\u8bbe\u8ba1\u529b\u91cf\u3002\u4e0d\u7ba1\u662f\u4ec0\u4e48\u5c3a\u5ea6\u7684\u5b9e\u8df5\uff0c\u4ed6\u4eec\u5bf9\u6bcf\u4e2a\u9879\u76ee\u7684\u6001\u5ea6\u90fd\u6df1\u6df1\u5730\u6839\u690d\u4e8e\u8de8\u5b66\u79d1\u5408\u4f5c\u3001\u5de5\u827a\u3001\u793e\u4f1a\u548c\u73af\u5883\u8d23\u4efb\u611f\u3002\u4ece\u6982\u5ff5\u8349\u56fe\u5230\u5efa\u6210\u4f5c\u54c1\uff0c\u5bf9\u7f8e\u7684\u6c38\u6052\u63a2\u7d22\u4e0e\u5c0a\u91cd\uff0c\u6307\u5bfc\u7740\u5176\u4f5c\u54c1\u957f\u671f\u4fdd\u6301\u6df1\u523b\u6027\u548c\u72ec\u7279\u6027\u3002\u4f5c\u54c1\u7684\u6210\u719f\u4e0e\u5f39\u6027\u6d78\u900f\u5728\u5bf9\u65bd\u5de5\u5efa\u9020\u7684\u638c\u63a7\u548c\u53ef\u6301\u7eed\u521b\u65b0\u91cc\u3002\u968f\u7740\u81ea\u7136\u8d44\u6e90\u538b\u529b\u7684\u4e0d\u65ad\u589e\u52a0\u4ee5\u53ca\u666f\u89c2\u8d8a\u6765\u8d8a\u591a\u5730\u51fa\u73b0\u5728\u57fa\u7840\u8bbe\u65bd\u9879\u76ee\u4e0a\uff0c\u5c06\u666f\u89c2\u89c6\u4f5c\u57fa\u7840\u8bbe\u65bd\u7684\u7ee9\u6548\u548c\u8fd0\u4f5c\uff0c\u5c06\u957f\u671f\u5728\u4ed6\u4eec\u7684\u8bbe\u8ba1\u4e2d\u8d77\u5230\u4e3e\u8db3\u8f7b\u91cd\u7684\u4f5c\u7528\u3002\u4ed6\u4eec\u8ba4\u4e3a\uff0c\u8bbe\u8ba1\u5e94\u8be5\u5bf9\u6211\u4eec\u6240\u5b9e\u8df5\u7684\u573a\u5730\u8d1f\u8d23\uff0c\u5e76\u4e3a\u6816\u606f\u5728\u8fd9\u7247\u573a\u5730\u7684\u4eba\u4eec\u63d0\u4f9b\u66f4\u6709\u6df1\u5ea6\u7684\u751f\u6d3b\u65b9\u5f0f\u3002<\/span><\/p>\n

First of all, we are curious why you chose to study landscape at the University of Pennsylvania after studying design art at Tianjin University. And is it influenced by teachers, work practice or other reasons that make you pay special attention to the urban renewal section in the landscape field?<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u6211\u5728\u5929\u5927\u8bfb\u7814\u7684\u65f6\u5019\u7ecf\u5386\u4e86\u5f88\u5927\u7684\u5f77\u5fa8\uff0c\u90a3\u4e2a\u65f6\u5019\u5f88\u559c\u6b22\u8bfb\u5404\u79cd\u5404\u6837\u7684\u7406\u8bba\u4e66\u7c4d\uff0c\u4f46\u662f\u53d1\u73b0\u8fd9\u5bf9\u6211\u7684\u8bbe\u8ba1\u80fd\u529b\u7684\u63d0\u5347\u5e76\u6ca1\u6709\u5e2e\u52a9\uff0c\u505a\u8bbe\u8ba1\u7684\u65f6\u5019\u8fd8\u662f\u76f4\u63a5\u62ff\u7740\u8bbe\u8ba1\u6742\u5fd7\u6284\u5f62\u5f0f\u3002\u540c\u65f6\uff0c\u90a3\u6bb5\u65f6\u95f4\u7684\u666f\u89c2\u884c\u4e1a\u7684\u5730\u4f4d\u8fd8\u662f\u5f88\u5c34\u5c2c\u7684\uff0c\u4e00\u76f4\u5904\u5728\u5efa\u7b51\u548c\u89c4\u5212\u7684\u5939\u7f1d\u4e4b\u4e2d\u3002\u89c4\u5212\u5e08\u53ef\u4ee5\u505a\u666f\u89c2\uff0c\u5efa\u7b51\u5e08\u4e5f\u53ef\u4ee5\u3002\u6709\u5f88\u957f\u4e00\u6bb5\u65f6\u95f4\u6211\u90fd\u65e0\u6cd5\u627e\u5230\u666f\u89c2\u8bbe\u8ba1\u5e08\u5b58\u5728\u7684\u5fc5\u8981\u6027\u3002<\/p>\n

\u76f4\u5230\u6709\u4e00\u5929\u770b\u5230\u4e86Peter latz\u7684\u9c81\u5c14\u533a\u5317\u675c\u4f0a\u65af\u5821\u516c\u56ed<\/a>\uff0c\u90a3\u4e2a\u65f6\u5019\u7684\u6211\u624d\u53d1\u73b0\u666f\u89c2\u4e5f\u53ef\u4ee5\u629b\u5f00\u5f62\u5f0f\u76f4\u8fbe\u573a\u5730\u7684\u672c\u8d28\u3002\u8fd9\u4e5f\u8fdb\u800c\u4f7f\u6211\u5bf9\u57ce\u5e02\u66f4\u65b0\u4ea7\u751f\u4e86\u5f88\u5927\u7684\u5174\u8da3\u3002\u5f53\u65f6peter latz\u5728\u5bbe\u5927\u6559\u4e66\uff0c\u6211\u4e5f\u987a\u52bf\u6295\u4e86\u5bbe\u5927\u7684\u7855\u58eb\u7533\u8bf7\u3002\u8fd9\u4e5f\u662f\u4e3a\u4ec0\u4e48\u6700\u540e\u9009\u62e9\u4e86\u53bb\u7f8e\u56fd\u8bfb\u4e66\uff0c\u5e76\u5728\u4e4b\u540e\u7684\u4ece\u4e1a\u7ecf\u5386\u4e2d\u5bf9\u57ce\u5e02\u66f4\u65b0\u7c7b\u4e00\u76f4\u6709\u7740\u6301\u4e45\u6d53\u539a\u7684\u5174\u8da3\u3002<\/p>\n

When I was a graduate student at Tianjin University, I experienced great hesitation. At that time, I liked reading all kinds of theoretical books, but I found that it didn’t help me to improve my design ability. When I was doing design, I took a design magazine directly to imitate other people’s design forms. At the same time, the status of landscape industry in that period was still very embarrassing, and it was always wandering between architecture and planning. Planners can do landscapes, and so can architects. For a long time, I couldn’t find the necessity of landscape architect’s existence.<\/p>\n

It wasn’t until one day I saw peter latz’s Duisburg Park<\/a>, that I discovered that the landscape could throw away the form and go directly to the essence of the site. This in turn makes me interested in urban renewal. At that time, peter latz was teaching at Penn, and I applied for a master’s degree at Penn. This is why I finally chose to study in the United States, and I have always been interested in urban renewal in my later career experience.<\/p>\n

When we read your resume, we can see that while you were studying abroad, you were also participating in practice. Did you change the design theory that you originally pursued in China because you encountered completely different thinking or patterns during your study abroad? Have you changed the correct ideas when studying on campus because of practice?<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u548c\u56fd\u5185\u7684\u5f53\u65f6\u7684\u666f\u89c2\u6559\u80b2\u4e0d\u540c\uff0c\u56fd\u5916\u7684\u6559\u80b2\u5927\u591a\u662f\u975e\u5e38\u6210\u529f\u7684\u804c\u4e1a\u8bbe\u8ba1\u5e08\u548c\u79d1\u7814\u7406\u8bba\u4e3a\u4e3b\u7684\u6559\u5e08\u7ed3\u5408\u7684\u72b6\u6001\u3002\u5bbe\u5927\u5f53\u65f6\u7684\u6559\u80b2\u5c31\u662f\u4e00\u4e2a\u6700\u597d\u7684\u8bc1\u660e\u3002<\/p>\n

\u800c\u6211\u5728\u8bfb\u4e66\u65f6\u7684\u5c65\u5386\u662f\u76f8\u5bf9\u7279\u6b8a\u7684\u3002\u5f53\u7b2c\u4e00\u5e74\u7ed3\u675f\u540e\u6211\u4e5f\u5bf9\u5f53\u65f6\u7f8e\u56fd\u7684\u6559\u80b2\u4ea7\u751f\u4e86\u5f88\u5927\u7684\u8ff7\u60d1\uff0c\u5927\u89c4\u6a21\u7684\u57ce\u5e02\u8bbe\u8ba1\u5c3a\u5ea6\u7684\u7a7a\u95f4\u548c\u4f18\u5f02\u7684\u8bbe\u8ba1\u8868\u73b0\u4f7f\u6211\u4e00\u76f4\u89c9\u5f97\u5728\u8fd9\u4e2a\u8fc7\u7a0b\u7f3a\u5931\u4e86\u771f\u6b63\u7684\u7a7a\u95f4\u5f62\u4f53\u8bbe\u8ba1\uff0c\u8fd9\u51e0\u4e4e\u662f\u5168\u4e16\u754c\u666f\u89c2\u6559\u80b2\u7684\u77ed\u677f\u3002<\/p>\n

\u8fdb\u800c\u6211\u9009\u62e9\u4e86\u4f11\u5b66\u4e00\u5e74\u53bbsasaki\u548cwest 8\u5b9e\u8df5\uff0c\u5f53\u65f6\u7533\u8bf7\u4f11\u5b66\u540e\u5f88\u591a\u7684\u8001\u5e08\u90fd\u7528\u884c\u52a8\u8868\u8fbe\u4e86\u652f\u6301\u3002\u4e00\u5e74\u540e\u518d\u6b21\u56de\u5f52\u5b66\u6821\u540e\uff0c\u679c\u7136\u5bf9\u4e8e\u666f\u89c2\u7684\u9886\u609f\u53c8\u6709\u4e86\u65b0\u7684\u53d8\u5316\u3002<\/p>\n

\u56fd\u5916\u6559\u80b2\u5bf9\u4e8e\u5b66\u4e1a\u548c\u5b9e\u8df5\u7684\u5305\u5bb9\u6027\u5bf9\u6211\u73b0\u5728\u4ecd\u7136\u53d7\u76ca\u3002\u5728\u4e0a\u5b66\u65f6\u6bcf\u4e00\u4e2a\u6bd5\u4e1a\u751f\u7684\u6700\u9ad8\u7406\u60f3\u4ecd\u7136\u662f\u53bb\u5f80\u81ea\u5df1\u7684\u68a6\u60f3\u4e8b\u52a1\u6240\u5de5\u4f5c\uff0c\u8fd9\u4e00\u70b9\u548c\u56fd\u5185\u4e0d\u5927\u76f8\u540c\uff0c\u5f88\u591a\u4eba\u4f1a\u9009\u62e9\u53bb\u85aa\u6c34\u66f4\u597d\u7684\u5730\u4ea7\u516c\u53f8\uff0c\u6216\u8005\u5e72\u8106\u8f6c\u884c\u3002<\/p>\n

\u6267\u4e1a\u591a\u5e74\u540e\u6211\u4e5f\u53d1\u73b0\u4e86\u7406\u8bba\u548c\u5b9e\u8df5\u7684\u4e0d\u540c\u3002\u8fd9\u4e2a\u89c2\u70b9\u548c\u56fd\u5185\u7406\u8bba\u548c\u5b9e\u8df5\u7684\u4e00\u822c\u6027\u7406\u89e3\u6709\u4e9b\u4e0d\u4e00\u6837\u3002\u6211\u89c9\u5f97\u7406\u8bba\u66f4\u52a0\u50cf\u662f\u5bf9\u884c\u4e1a\u7684\u672a\u6765\u63d0\u4f9b\u4e00\u4e9b\u5047\u8bf4\uff0c\u800c\u5b9e\u8df5\u6070\u6070\u662f\u5c06\u7406\u8bba\u53d8\u4e3a\u8bbe\u8ba1\u5b9e\u8df5\uff0c\u4e00\u70b9\u70b9\u7684\u8bc1\u5b9e\u6216\u8005\u8bc1\u4f2a\u3002\u5728\u4e0d\u65ad\u7684\u63d0\u51fa\u7406\u8bba\uff0c\u5c06\u7406\u8bba\u53d8\u4e3a\u771f\u5b9e\u7684\u9879\u76ee\uff0c\u7136\u540e\u901a\u8fc7\u7814\u7a76\u603b\u7ed3\u518d\u6b21\u6210\u4e3a\u7406\u8bba\uff0c\u8fd9\u6837\u5468\u800c\u590d\u59cb\u884c\u4e1a\u624d\u4f1a\u6709\u771f\u6b63\u610f\u4e49\u4e0a\u7684\u8fdb\u6b65\u3002<\/p>\n

Different from landscape education in China at that time, foreign education is mostly a combination of very successful professional designers and teachers focusing on scientific research theory. The education of Penn University at that time is the best proof.<\/p>\n

And my study experience is relatively special. After the end of the first year, I was puzzled by American education at that time. The large-scale urban design scale space and excellent design performance made me always feel that there was no real spatial form design in this process, which was almost a shortcoming of landscape education all over the world.<\/p>\n

Then I chose to take a year off from school to practice in sasaki and west8. At that time, many teachers expressed their support for me with their actions. After returning to school again one year later, there was a new change in my understanding of landscape.<\/p>\n

I still benefit from the compatibility of foreign education with theoretical study and work practice. When studying abroad, every graduate’s highest ideal is still to work in his dream office, which is quite different from that in China. Many people will choose to go to a real estate company with better salary or simply change careers.<\/p>\n

After many years of practice, I also found the difference between theory and practice. This view is somewhat different from the general understanding of domestic theory and practice. I think the theory is more like providing some hypotheses for the future of the industry. And practice is just to turn theory into design practice, and to prove or falsify it a little bit. Constantly put forward the theory, turn the theory into a real project, and then turn it into a theory again through research and summary, so that the industry will make real progress again and again.<\/p>\n

As you said in the article “The Decameron of Modern Landscape”<\/a>, Chinese landscape industry is making rapid progress, and a large number of projects are built, released and won awards every day. However, as a practitioner, you strongly feel that our landscape industry has not yet been in line with the world. What do you personally think should be improved in China at present?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I just returned to China in 2016. Up to now, I can clearly perceive the progress that the domestic landscape is in line with foreign countries at an incredible speed in terms of technology, ecological technology, media propaganda and industrial chain. In some areas, it even surpassed foreign countries, but it has become more morbid in the field of design.<\/p>\n

At present, the speed is too fast. I gradually find that keywords such as productization, standardization, mass development and listing have gradually become the mainstream voices of the industry. Even between public landscape and real estate landscape, there are greater barriers between academics and practice, and forms have become more and more important. Designers’ groups are constantly subdivided into small industries, with little communication and more talking to themselves.<\/p>\n

In fact, at present, what is most needed to be improved is to break through barriers, create a holistic awareness of the industry, increase communication, and finally talk with the world industry system. If every design can promote and inspire a larger industry system, I believe it will become healthier in the future.<\/p>\n

People like to invite overseas excellent firms to design and use for reference. Many people consecration excellent firms. When they are superstitious, people will blindly accept everything they have made. When they are disappointed, they think that overseas firms cannot adapt to the local environment. But few people want to know what these designers thought at that time and why they made such designs at that moment.<\/p>\n

In essence, it is because many people forget that these designers are also part of the industry. Knowing designers and history can help your own design better and make your own design more original. This is why activities such as “Industry Discuss” are very important. More exchanges and more reflections will make greater progress.<\/p>\n

The reason is to live in this land better. This is understandable. People think that urban life can be colorful and happy, and imagine it well, but the result is completely different.” Nowadays, it is very difficult for us to feel the beautiful scenery in the city, and there is a gray sand environment caused by development everywhere. However, this is something that developed countries have experienced decades ago. As a frontline worker in the industry, what has D+H done or is doing to cope with the current situation in China?<\/strong><\/p>\n

That is why Lab D+H has been intensively cultivating in the field of urban renewal.<\/p>\n

Different from complete reconstruction, we always feel that the lost cultural history may never be recovered. If we can do our best to protect the existing ones and revitalize the incomplete ones, it will be a great achievement. What really makes us feel precious is that during the design and completion of this project, we met a lot of friends in our work, and many of them are friends who say everything now.<\/p>\n

At that time, it was unimaginable for Chinese landscape designers to enter the field of urban renewal. It is extremely difficult to convince a customer group that landscape design can also be used as an urban renewal project. Although compared with five years ago, urban renewal has changed over time, but it is still a difficult profitable field. Therefore, compared with those aggressive design firms, we are more like people looking back in the busy city. This is why we set up the Urban Renewal Laboratory, which gradually studies and solves the problem of the lack of context in the rapid development of cities through the reconstruction of roadway and historical spaces.<\/p>\n

Maybe in the near future, we will also set up a Earth Art laboratory to study the texture of urban veins.<\/p>\n

Even, we will design according to local conditions to minimize the impact of our design language on the site. Through the classical space to achieve the greatest impact.
