RPS<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0\u4e00\u76f4\u81f4\u529b\u4e8e\u5c06\u5e03\u91cc\u65af\u73ed\u5357\u5cb8\u95f2\u7f6e\u7684\u505c\u8f66\u573a\u5e9f\u5f03\u7a7a\u95f4\u6539\u9020\u6210\u4e00\u4e2a\u5145\u6ee1\u6d3b\u529b\u7684\u57ce\u5e02\u827a\u672f\u3001\u5a31\u4e50\u548c\u65c5\u6e38\u76ee\u7684\u5730\u3002\u540e\u6765RPS\u4e0eRichards\u548cSpence\u5408\u4f5c\uff0c\u6210\u529f\u5c06\u5e03\u91cc\u65af\u73ed\u94c1\u8def\u6865\u4e0b\u672a\u88ab\u5145\u5206\u5229\u7528\u7684\u9057\u5fd8\u7a7a\u95f4\u6539\u9020\u6210\u4e86\u4e00\u4e2a\u4eb2\u5bc6\u7684\u57ce\u5e02\u516c\u56ed\uff0c\u91cc\u9762\u79cd\u6ee1\u4e86\u7ea0\u7ed3\u7684\u8568\u7c7b\u690d\u7269\u548c\u6500\u722c\u85e4\u8513\u3002<\/p>\n

RPS<\/strong><\/a> has supported the transformation of unused car park \u2018dead space\u2019 in Brisbane\u2019s South Bank into a vibrant arts, entertainment and hospitality destination for the city.\u00a0With Fish Lane Town Square, RPS has worked with Richards and Spence to transform a forgotten, underutilized space under a Brisbane railway bridge into an intimate urban park replete with tangled ferns and climbers.<\/p>\n

South Brisbane in Victorian times was a working port area. In the laneway just off the main street, a large laundry was run by a Mr Fish, who went on to become the local councillor. The laundry eventually moved across the river, but his name stuck to the laneway that now forms part of Brisbane City Council\u2019s vision to create laneway culture in the city centre. Fish Lane has been transformed from a bitumen service lane and car park to a verdant and lively space that is attracting day and night patronage.<\/p>\n

The Fish Lane Town Square redevelopment is bounded by Fish Lane to the north and Melbourne Street to the south, and is bookended by new two-storey buildings housing bars and restaurants. The remaining central open space is under a concrete bridge that forms part of the railway corridor and is transport infrastructure land owned by Queensland Railway (QR). A significant design constraint was that QR required a completely accessible and demountable landscape. These constraints, combined with a 99-year lease, have resulted in an attractive place dominated by tree ferns and luxuriant plantings, and framed by buildings featuring the curved brickwork that is currently popular as an expression of the civic. A central kiosk offers food and beverages in a manner reminiscent of Parisian parks. Carefully designed timber furniture provides plentiful seating.<\/p>\n

\u8fd9\u4e2a\u7531\u5f00\u53d1\u5546(Aria Property Group)\u8bbe\u60f3\u3001\u7b56\u5212\u3001\u5efa\u9020\u548c\u7ef4\u62a4\u7684\u8d39\u4ec0\u5df7\u57ce\u9547\u5e7f\u573a\u5b9e\u9645\u662f\u4e00\u4e2a\u8fc7\u6e21\u666f\u89c2\uff1a\u516c\u5171\u65e0\u969c\u788d\u7a7a\u95f4\uff0c\u800c\u975e\u7b80\u5355\u7684\u516c\u5171\u5f00\u653e\u7a7a\u95f4\u3002<\/p>\n

\u5f00\u53d1\u5546\u7684\u613f\u666f\u662f\u5728\u57ce\u5e02\u5c45\u6c11\u7684\u65e5\u5e38\u901a\u52e4\u8def\u7ebf\u4e0a\u63d0\u4f9b\u4f11\u95f2\u533a\uff0c\u6bd4\u5982\u4e0a\u73ed\u8def\u4e0a\u53ef\u4ee5\u559d\u676f\u5496\u5561\uff0c\u5403\u4e2a\u725b\u89d2\u9762\u5305\uff0c\u4e0b\u73ed\u540e\u5230\u9644\u8fd1\u7684\u9152\u5427\u559d\u4e00\u676f\uff0c\u6216\u4e0e\u670b\u53cb\u5171\u8fdb\u665a\u9910\u3002\u5e7f\u573a\u8fde\u63a5\u7740\u5c0f\u5df7\u548c\u4e3b\u8857\uff0c\u7ed9\u6765\u5f80\u7684\u4eba\u4eec\u589e\u6dfb\u4e86\u4e00\u4efd\u610f\u5916\u4e4b\u559c\uff0c\u9910\u9986\u548c\u9152\u5427\u4e3a\u7528\u6237\u63d0\u4f9b\u751f\u6d3b\u548c\u89c2\u8d4f\u7a7a\u95f4\u3002<\/p>\n

Envisioned, curated, built and maintained by the developer Aria Property Group, Fish Lane Town Square is a mediated landscape: publicly accessible open space, rather than public open space.<\/p>\n

Fish Lane Town Square forms a pocket park in the midst of an area moving quickly from two-storey fringe commercial to high-density residential. The developer\u2019s vision was to provide a recreational precinct for this new city\u2019s dwellers along their daily route: coffee and croissant on the way to the office, a drink at the adjacent bars after work, or perhaps dinner with friends. Its location \u2013 connecting lane to main street \u2013 allows people to discover it unexpectedly, and its restaurants and bars afford both life and surveillance.<\/p>\n

RPS\u8bbe\u8ba1\u7684\u666f\u89c2\u65b9\u6848\uff0c\u5c06\u73b0\u6709\u76842400\u5e73\u65b9\u7c73\u7684\u6df7\u51dd\u571f\u5730\u4e0b\u901a\u9053\u8f6c\u53d8\u6210\u4e86\u4e00\u4e2a\u4ee4\u4eba\u60ca\u559c\u4e07\u5206\u7684\u4e9a\u70ed\u5e26\u96e8\u6797\uff0c\u5e76\u4e14\u5168\u5e74\u65e0\u4f11\u5bf9\u516c\u4f17\u5f00\u653e\uff0c\u4ece\u800c\u5438\u5f15\u6e38\u5ba2\u8fdb\u5165\uff0c\u611f\u53d7\u5e03\u91cc\u65af\u73ed\u6e29\u6696\u7684\u6c14\u5019\u3002<\/p>\n

\u867d\u7136\u8d77\u521d\u7684\u8bbe\u8ba1\u7eaf\u7cb9\u662f\u4e3a\u4e86\u6ee1\u8db3\u5176\u529f\u80fd\u6027\uff0c\u4f46\u5728\u4e0eRichards\u548cSpence\u5efa\u7b51\u4e8b\u52a1\u6240\u4ee5\u53caAria Property Group\u5408\u4f5c\u7684\u8fc7\u7a0b\u4e2d\uff0c\u8bbe\u8ba1\u56e2\u961f\u9762\u4e34\u7684\u6700\u5927\u7684\u6311\u6218\u662f\u5982\u4f55\u5728\u4e00\u4e2a\u5e9f\u5f03\u7684\u7a7a\u95f4\u4e2d\u521b\u9020\u4e0e\u81ea\u7136\u7684\u8054\u7cfb\u548c\u573a\u6240\u611f\u3002<\/p>\n

Our landscape architects have designed a landscape scheme that would transition the existing 2400s.q.m concrete underpass zone into an unexpected, subtropical rainforest that invites visitors in, celebrates Brisbane\u2019s warm climate and is open to the public 24\/7.<\/p>\n

Working with Richards and Spence Architects and Aria Property Group, our team\u2019s challenge was to create a connection to nature and sense of place in a derelict space, originally designed for purely functional purposes.<\/p>\n

\u65bd\u5de5\u8fc7\u7a0b\u4e2d\uff0c\u8bbe\u8ba1\u56e2\u961f\u4e0e\u65bd\u5de5\u65b9Shape\u3001\u627f\u5305\u5546Bland 2 Brilliant\u548cGreenstock\u82d7\u5703\u5bc6\u5207\u5408\u4f5c\uff0c\u4ed4\u7ec6\u9009\u82d7\u3001\u5b9a\u70b9\u690d\u7269\uff0c\u6700\u7ec8\u5448\u73b0\u4e86\u8fd9\u6837\u4e00\u79cd\u8d4b\u4e88\u73af\u5883\u751f\u673a\u7684\u690d\u7269\u6c1b\u56f4\u3002\u800c\u4e14\uff0c\u6bcf\u4e2a\u79cd\u690d\u533a\u57df\u90fd\u4e0e\u4e00\u4e2a\u96e8\u6c34\u6c60\u704c\u6e89\u7cfb\u7edf\u76f8\u8fde\uff0c\u6bcf\u68f5\u6811\u8568\u4e0a\u8fd8\u9644\u6709\u4e00\u4e2a\u7279\u522b\u8bbe\u8ba1\u7684\u55b7\u96fe\u7cfb\u7edf\u3002<\/p>\n

\u73b0\u5728\u7684\u8d39\u4ec0\u5df7\u9547\u5e7f\u573a\u6210\u4e3a\u4e86\u5e02\u4e2d\u5fc3\u7684\u4e00\u4e2a\u5947\u5f02\u3001\u7e41\u534e\u7684\u76ee\u7684\u5730\uff0cRPS\u540c\u6837\u81ea\u8c6a\u4e8e\u8fd9\u4e2a\u66fe\u7ecf\u88ab\u9057\u5fd8\u548c\u5ffd\u89c6\u7684\u201c\u95f4\u9699\u7a7a\u95f4\u201d\uff0c\u7ecf\u8fc7\u4ed6\u4eec\u7684\u91cd\u65b0\u60f3\u8c61\u6210\u4e3a\u4e86\u4e00\u4e2a\u516c\u5171\u7a7a\u95f4\uff0c\u5f97\u5230\u4e86\u5145\u5206\u5229\u7528\uff0c\u5e76\u6df1\u53d7\u5f53\u5730\u4eba\u548c\u6e38\u5ba2\u7684\u559c\u7231\u3002<\/p>\n

Fish Lane Town Square is now home to more than 3,500 plants that reflect the pre\u2013European landscape found in the local Kurilpa area. These include native birds nest ferns, Australian fan palms, native violet, blue ginger, bugleweed and more than 70 Australian tree ferns standing up to 4.5m tall.<\/p>\n

As the RPS-designed landscape was being developed, our team worked closely with project partners Shape, Bland 2 Brilliant and Greenstock Nursery to carefully source and position the plants which now give life and atmosphere to the environment. Each planting area is connected to a rainwater tank irrigation system, along with a specially designed mister system attached to each tree fern.<\/p>\n

With Fish Lane Town Square now a quirky, bustling inner city destination, our team is proud to have supported the reimagining of this once forgotten and unseen \u201cspace between\u201d into a public space that\u2019s well used and much-loved by locals and visitors alike.<\/p>\n

RPS developed the landscape with a vision of a Gondwana-like rainforest. Seventy mature tree ferns dominate, while native ferns are intermingled with hardy exotic climbers and low plantings. Concrete columns with vines combine with arched architecture and cobble-like clay paving to create the sense of a remnant green pocket in the city. Within the compact inner-city area, shaded by railway line and buildings, the tree ferns claim a new kind of space, conceiving a type of luxuriant landscape we forgot we could have.<\/p>\n
