\u57c3\u65af\u4f69\u5170\u65af\u9547\uff0c720\u516c\u91cc\u73c0\u65af\u897f\u6fb3\u4e1c\u5357\u90e8\uff0c\u9884\u8ba1\u52302050\u5e74\u4f5c\u4e3a\u653f\u5e9c\u6307\u5b9a\u7684\u7ecf\u5386\u8fc5\u901f\u6210\u957f\u4e3a\u5168\u5dde\u4eba\u53e3\u7684\u4e24\u500d\u591a\uff0c\u201cSuperTown\u201d Esperance’ve\u88ab\u6307\u5b9a\u4e3a\u6218\u7565\u53d1\u5c55\u652f\u6301\u8fd9\u4e00\u6210\u957f – \u800c\u54c8\u585e\u5c14\u7684\u8bbe\u8ba1\u5728\u5173\u952e\u90e8\u4ef6\u6d77\u6ee8\u66f4\u65b0\u3002<\/p>\n

The town of Esperance, 720 kilometres south-east of Perth in Western Australia, is expected to experience rapid growth as the state\u2019s population more than doubles by 2050. As a government designated \u2018SuperTown\u2019, Esperance has been earmarked for strategic development to support this growth \u2013 with the HASSELL design for the waterfront renewal a key component.<\/p>\n

\"\u6fb3\u5927\u5229\u4e9a\u57c3\u65af\u4f69\u5170\u65af\u6ee8\u6c34\u516c\u56ed<\/a><\/p>\n

\u901a\u8fc7\u91cd\u65b0\u5f00\u53d1\u6c34\u5cb8\uff0c\u57c3\u65af\u4f69\u5170\u65af\u90e1\u65e8\u5728\u5e73\u8861\u4e00\u6b3e\u9762\u5411\u5bb6\u5ead\u7684\u76ee\u7684\u5730\uff0c\u6539\u5584\u57fa\u7840\u8bbe\u65bd\uff0c\u65c5\u6e38\u666f\u70b9\u548c\u673a\u4f1a\u7684\u79c1\u4eba\u6295\u8d44\u3002\u91cd\u8981\u7684\u662f\uff0c\u65b0\u7684\u6d77\u6ee8\u548c\u6062\u590d\u4fdd\u62a4\u793e\u533a\u7684\u4e2d\u5fc3\u6ee8\u6d77\u5cb8\u7ebf\u7684\u8fd9\u4e00\u620f\u5267\u6027\u7684\u8212\u5c55\u3002\u6211\u4eec\u4e0e\u90e1\u5408\u4f5c\uff0c\u66f4\u597d\u5730\u4e86\u89e3\u4eba\u4eec\u5982\u4f55\u4f7f\u7528\u7684\u6d77\u6ee8\u5728\u57c3\u65af\u4f69\u5170\u65af – \u4ee5\u53ca\u4ed6\u4eec\u5982\u4f55\u5e0c\u671b\u5b83\u770b\u8d77\u6765\u548c\u5de5\u4f5c\u7684\u672a\u6765\u3002\u7ee7\u793e\u533a\u53c2\u4e0e\u7684\u8282\u76ee\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u8bbe\u8ba1\u4e86\u96c6\u6210\u5728\u5cac\u89d2\uff0c\u6d77\u5824\uff0c\u51c9\u4ead\u548c\u4e00\u4e2a\u53d1\u6325\u7684\u7a7a\u95f4\u8fd9\u5bf9\u5bb6\u5ead\u7684\u4e3b\u8981\u7684drawcard\u56de\u6536\u7684\u6ee8\u6c34\u533a\u3002\u590d\u57a6\u7684\u5cac\u89d2\u5305\u62ec\u56f4\u7ed5\u5386\u53f2\u6cb9\u8f6e\u7801\u5934\u5305\u88f9\u5e7f\u9614\u7684\u8349\u576a\u7a7a\u95f4\uff0c\u54ea\u6765\u805a\u4f1a\u7684\u9732\u5929\u793e\u533a\u4f53\u80b2\u6d3b\u52a8\u624d\u80fd\u8fdb\u884c\u3002\u8fd9\u4e2a\u7a7a\u95f4\u8fd8\u652f\u6301\u65b0\u7684\u5546\u4e1a\u4f01\u4e1a\uff0c\u5982\u98df\u54c1\u8f66\u548c\u5f39\u51fa\u4e8b\u4ef6\u3002\u6d77\u8fb9\u7684\u5e7f\u573a\uff0c\u5728\u8a79\u59c6\u65af\u8857\uff0c\u6709\u4e00\u4e2a\u9192\u76ee\u7684\u9cb8\u5c3e\u96d5\u5851\u6210\u4e3a\u62b5\u8fbe\u6d77\u6ee8\u7684\u6807\u5fd7\u3002\u8fd9\u65e2\u6709\u201c\u9488\u201d\u7684\u533a\u56de\u9547\uff0c\u4e3a\u672a\u6765\u7684\u53d1\u5c55\u57c3\u65af\u4f69\u5170\u65af\u6d77\u6ee8\u4f4d\u7f6e\u3002<\/p>\n

By redeveloping the waterfront, the Shire of Esperance aimed to balance a family-oriented destination with improved infrastructure, tourist attractions and opportunities for private investment. Critically, the new waterfront protects and restores the community\u2019s central foreshore on this stretch of dramatic coastline. We worked with the shire to better understand how people in Esperance used the waterfront \u2013 and how they wanted it to look and work in the future. Following a program of community engagement, we designed a waterfront precinct that integrated a reclaimed headland, seawall, pavilions and a play space that\u2019s a major drawcard for families. The reclaimed headland includes a vast lawn space wrapped around the historic Tanker Jetty, where open-air community gatherings and sports activities can take place. This space also supports new business ventures, like food trucks and pop-up events. A beachside plaza at James Street, marked by a striking Whale Tail sculpture, offers improved access to the waterfront. This both \u2018stitches\u2019 the precinct back into the town and positions the Esperance Waterfront for future growth.<\/p>\n
