Hageveld used to be a seminary, and some of it was used for teaching in junior high school. Although Hageveld was still attractive, in fact the vegetation had declined and some of the land had been left unused. By 2002, the new owners of the site were hoping to turn Voorhuis into a luxury apartment. The spatial design of the manor was inspired by the shape of three concentric shells, each with its own characteristics. The main building forms the center of the plot, forming an inner circle around the dense plants of the building, while the outside of the inner circle is a field, and the last two outer circles are designed as landscape parks. The implementation of the master plan restored the greening and drainage of the Hageveld estate (140,000 square metres). The green quality of the whole estate has been improved, especially around the main building, which can now stand on the grass as much as possible. The western plot was purchased to restore vegetation that had been largely ignored before, and the landscape on both sides of the path and road was restored and expanded. In the completed plan, Voorhuis has 60 apartments of varying sizes. The most typical view of the estate is this huge, new type of landscape pool, which is divided into two by the concealed underground garage entrance.<\/p>\n
