The project explores these processes through the three primary themes of plants, water and people.<\/p>\n

\u4e3b\u8981\u7684\u5efa\u7b51\u7ed3\u6784\u5728\u7ad6\u5411\u4e0a\u4e30\u5bcc\u4e86\u539f\u672c\u5e73\u5766\u7684\u666f\u89c2\uff0c\u5305\u62ec\u4e24\u4e2a\u957f\u957f\u7684\u77f3\u7b3c\u7f51\u5899\u3001\u4e00\u4e2a\u7531\u9732\u5929\u9636\u68af\u5267\u573a\u7ec4\u6210\u7684\u6559\u80b2\u533a\u3001\u6c34\u4e0b\u89c2\u666f\u7a97\u30013\u7c73\u9ad8\u7684\u77ad\u671b\u53f0\u3001\u9732\u53f0\u3001\u5e87\u62a4\u6240\u548c\u4e00\u5ea7\u8fde\u63a5\u82b1\u56ed\u4e1c\u897f\u5165\u53e3\u7684\u5f27\u5f62\u957f\u6865\uff08\u603b\u4f53\u89c4\u5212\u7684\u91cd\u70b9\u9879\u76ee\u4e4b\u4e00\uff09\u3002\u8fd9\u4e9b\u4e0d\u540c\u7684\u7ed3\u6784\u4f7f\u5f97\u4eba\u4eec\u53ef\u4ee5\u5728\u6c34\u9762\u3001\u6c34\u4e0a\u548c\u6c34\u4e0b\u4e0d\u540c\u89d2\u5ea6\u89c2\u5bdf\u548c\u63a2\u7d22\u3002\u53e6\u5916\u8fd8\u6709\u4e00\u4e2a\u7528\u4e8e\u5c55\u793a\u7684\u62bd\u6c34\u6cf5\u548c\u51c0\u5316\u7ad9\uff0c\u4ee5\u8fdb\u4e00\u6b65\u9610\u8ff0\u6c34\u4f53\u51c0\u5316\u7684\u8fc7\u7a0b\u548c\u5b58\u50a8\u5c42\u7ec6\u8282\u3002<\/p>\n

The major built structures create elevation in an otherwise flat landscape and include two long blades of gabion walls, an education precinct composed of amphitheatres, under water viewing \u2018windows\u2019, a 3 meter high lookout, decking, shelters and a long curved bridge that connects the East and Western Entrances to the Gardens ( one of the main objective of the Masterplan) . The variety of structures allows for water to be viewed and explored on the surface, below and above the waterbodies. Other structures include an \u2018on show\u2019 pumping and purification station to further elaborate the storey of water cleansing and storage.<\/p>\n

The wetland features a number of sustainability initiatives including;
\n1. The collection, propagation and planting of seeds from rare indigenous SA wetland plants.
\n2. Remediation of site soil to remove contamination from the site\u2019s previous use as a Tram Barn and spoil deposit from the Wine Centre development.
\n3. The use of local materials including sandstone and locally produced mulch.
\n4. Selection of low water use plant species for riparian planting zones.
\n5.\u00a0 Within 7 years the ABG will be fully irrigated by the wetland system.<\/p>\n

\u8be5\u6e7f\u5730\u4f5c\u4e3a\u4e00\u4e2a\u670d\u52a1\u4e8e\u5f53\u5730\u5c0f\u5b66\u3001\u4e2d\u5b66\u548c\u5927\u5b66\u7684\u6559\u80b2\u8bbe\u65bd\uff0c\u7b26\u5408\u5357\u6fb3\u5927\u5229\u4e9a\u5dde\u7684\u8bfe\u7a0b\u6559\u5b66\u6807\u51c6\u3002\u6e7f\u5730\u4e2d\u4e3b\u8981\u7684\u9732\u5929\u5267\u573a\u53ef\u5bb9\u7eb3\u7ea680\u4eba\uff0c\u800c\u5176\u4ed610\u4e2a\u8f83\u5c0f\u7684\u573a\u5730\u53ef\u6ee1\u8db3\u5b66\u6821\u548c\u793e\u56e2\u4f53\u9a8c\u6c34\u8d44\u6e90\u4fdd\u62a4\u548c\u751f\u7269\u7cfb\u7edf\u7b49\u4e0d\u540c\u65b9\u9762\u7684\u9700\u6c42\uff0c\u540c\u65f6\u5b83\u4e5f\u53ef\u4f9b\u4e2a\u4eba\u548c\u516c\u5171\u6d3b\u52a8\u79df\u8d41\u4f7f\u7528\u3002<\/p>\n

The wetland functions as an education facility for primary, secondary and tertiary students and complies with the SA Curriculum Standards. The main amphitheatre accommodates approximately 80 people, while a series of 10 smaller sites cater for school and community groups to experience different stories and aspects of water conservation and biological systems. The amphitheatres can also be utilised as rentable spaces for private and public functions.<\/p>\n

\u4ece\u7ecf\u6d4e\u4e0a\u8bb2\uff0c\u6e7f\u5730\u4e3a\u690d\u7269\u56ed\u5e26\u6765\u4e86\u5de8\u5927\u7684\u7ecf\u6d4e\u6548\u76ca\uff0c\u56e0\u4e3a\u5b83\u53ef\u4ee5\u4f7f\u690d\u7269\u56ed\u51cf\u5c11\u5176\u5bf9\u81ea\u6765\u6c34\u548cGAP\u7528\u6c34\u7684\u4f9b\u5e94\u9700\u6c42\u3002<\/p>\n

Economically the wetland is of great financial benefit to the Gardens, as it allows water independence from the mains supply or the lesser quality GAP water.<\/p>\n

\u4ece\u6587\u5316\u4e0a\u8bb2\uff0c\u6e7f\u5730\u65e2\u662f\u5bf9\u79d1\u5b66\u7684\u8be0\u91ca\uff0c\u4e5f\u662f\u5bf9\u6b27\u6d32\u548c\u8003\u5c14\u7eb3\u5730\u533a\u6587\u5316\u77e5\u8bc6\u7684\u518d\u73b0\u3002\u690d\u7269\u56ed\u8bbe\u8ba1\u8fc7\u7a0b\u4e2d\uff0c\u8003\u5c14\u7eb3\u957f\u8001\u5218\u6613\u65af-\u5965\u5e03\u83b1\u6069\u548c\u827a\u672f\u5bb6\u517c\u8bbe\u8ba1\u5e08\u5361\u5c14-\u7279\u5c14\u5f17\u7684\u5408\u4f5c\uff0c\u6700\u7ec8\u5f62\u6210\u4e86\u4e00\u4e2a\u5f00\u653e\u7684\u85cf\u9e1f\u5c4b\u516c\u5171\u88c5\u7f6e\uff0c\u6f14\u7ece\u4e86\u5404\u79cd\u5177\u6709\u5f53\u5730\u539f\u8457\u6c11\u8272\u5f69\u7684\u6545\u4e8b\u3002<\/p>\n

Culturally the wetland interprets scientific, as well as European and Kaurna cultural knowledge. Consultation was conducted with the Kaurna elder Lewis O\u2019Brien and the Kaurna artist and designer Karl Telfer resulting in a bird – hide and open structure that interprets various stories of local Aboriginal significance.<\/p>\n
