Instinct Fabrication<\/a>\uff1a<\/strong>The project is a renovation and redevelopment of old stadiums facilities and their adjacent spaces. Banan District, where the project is located, is one of the core nine districts in south of Chongqing Metropolitan. The site covers an area of about 300000 square meters, neighboring the Yudong Yangtze River Bridge in the north and connecting the Yudong Station, the transfer hub between Subway Line 2 and Line 3 in the south. Contradictorily, high living density occupies the surrounding while scarce qualitied urban realm were available to them, for a long time.<\/p>\n

\u4ece\u8001\u65e7\u4f53\u80b2\u573a\u9986\uff0c\u5230\u6f6e\u6d41\u8fd0\u52a8\u5546\u4e1a\u573a\u57df\u00a0 Abandoned sports facilities to new urban vibe<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u573a\u5730\u4e2d\u4e24\u5ea7\u4fdd\u7559\u4e0b\u6765\u7684\u5927\u578b\u516c\u5171\u8bbe\u65bd –\u00a0\u5df4\u5357\u4f53\u80b2\u573a\u548c\u5df4\u5357\u7bee\u7403\u9986\uff0c\u59cb\u5efa\u4e8e\u516b\u4e5d\u5341\u5e74\u4ee3\uff0c\u66fe\u7ecf\u662f\u91cd\u5e86\u5e02\u5357\u90ca\u7684\u91cd\u8981\u5730\u6807\u4e4b\u4e00\uff0c\u540e\u51e0\u7ecf\u95f2\u7f6e\uff0c\u63a5\u8fd1\u4e8e\u9057\u5f03\u72b6\u6001\uff0c\u5bfc\u81f4\u4f53\u80b2\u573a\u4ee5\u53ca\u5468\u8fb9\u516c\u5171\u7a7a\u95f4\u54c1\u8d28\u7684\u8870\u8d25\u3002\u8be5\u9879\u76ee\u7ffb\u65b0\u91cd\u5efa\u7684\u521d\u8877\uff0c\u5c31\u662f\u7ed3\u5408\u65b0\u578b\u5546\u4e1a\u5185\u5bb9\u548c\u751f\u6d3b\u65b9\u5f0f\uff0c\u901a\u8fc7\u57ce\u5e02\u66f4\u65b0\u7a7a\u95f4\u91cd\u5851\u7684\u624b\u6bb5\uff0c\u8ba9\u4f53\u80b2\u573a\u9986\uff0c\u5468\u8fb9\u516c\u5171\u7a7a\u95f4\u4ee5\u53ca\u5c45\u6c11\u751f\u6d3b\u91cd\u7115\u6d3b\u529b\uff0c\u91cd\u5851\u57ce\u5e02\u5730\u6807\u3002<\/p>\n

Banan Coliseum\u00a0and Banan Basketball Stadium, the two large-scale public facilities preserved in the site,\u00a0were built in the 80s and 90s and\u00a0were once one of the landmarks in the southern suburbs of Chongqing.\u00a0After years they\u00a0became nothing but just\u00a0abandoned aged buildings\u00a0with\u00a0inaccessible and unpleasant\u00a0public space around. The goal of this project\u00a0is to\u00a0reactivate\u00a0vivid\u00a0lifestyles\u00a0and recreate more vibing\u00a0destinations for residents around,\u00a0by peacing\u00a0fragmental\u00a0space \u00a0and integrating\u00a0refreshness\u00a0from\u00a0new commercial\u00a0establishment and recreational\u00a0programs.<\/p>\n

\u65b0\u5efa\u7684\u4e8c\u5c42\u5730\u94c1\u51fa\u53e3\u5e73\u53f0\uff0c\u5c06\u5357\u4fa7\u7a7a\u95f4\u8f6c\u5316\u6210\u4e86\u4e00\u4e2a\u7acb\u4f53\u7684\u5e02\u6c11\u65e5\u5e38\u4f53\u80b2\u4f11\u95f2\u6d3b\u52a8\u9a7f\u7ad9\uff0c\u800c\u4e1c\u4fa7\u4e00\u4e2a\u80fd\u5bb9\u7eb32\u4e07\u4eba\u7684\u65b0\u5efa\u7bee\u7403\u573a\u9986\u7684\u5f15\u5165\uff0c\u4ee5\u53ca\u5317\u4fa715\u4e07\u65b9\u7684\u9519\u5c42\u5546\u4e1a\u7efc\u5408\u4f53Hi-Up\uff0c\u5e26\u6765\u4e86\u7a00\u7f3a\u7684\u4e00\u7ad9\u5f0f\u8d2d\u7269\u4f53\u9a8c\u548c\u5927\u578b\u8d5b\u4e8b\u6d3b\u52a8\uff0c\u5c06\u5168\u65b0\u7684\u751f\u6d3b\u65b9\u5f0f\u5e26\u5165\u4e86\u5df4\u5357\u3002<\/p>\n

The first step of the renovation scheme is\u00a0creating\u00a0a\u00a0promenade to\u00a0connect\u00a0the north and south ends. One\u00a0side is next to a large\u00a0residential area, and the other is directly connected to the exit of Yudong subway station. In a way, the promenade automatically brings in people\u00a0 more conveniently and effectively, forming a central pedestrian corridor about 30 meters wide and 500 meters long.<\/p>\n

The new-built second-floor subway plaza\u00a0has transformed the south portion of the site\u00a0into a multi-level space\u00a0for residents’ daily sports and leisure activities, while the introduction of a new basketball stadium with a capacity of 20, 000 seats in the east and the staggered commercial complex -‘Hi-Up’ on the north side, are able to\u00a0establish\u00a0an anticipated\u00a0one-stop shopping experience and a place for\u00a0large\u00a0events.<\/p>\n

The project is featured in sports and recreation activities, comprised of BLOOMAGE Stadium(new built), M-Zone, Hi-Park Street Basketball courts(refurbished from Banan Stadium), Hi-Zone(refurbished from Banan Coliseum) and Hi-Up Commercial Complex. The combination is able to hold NBA games, hockey games, concerts and other large events.<\/p>\n

\u6709\u522b\u4e8e\u5e38\u89c4\u7cbe\u81f4\u7ec6\u817b\u7684\u65b0\u5efa\u57ce\u5e02\u7a7a\u95f4\u98ce\u683c\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u5728\u666f\u89c2\u89c4\u5212\u8bbe\u8ba1\u8fc7\u7a0b\u4e2d\u610f\u5728\u7559\u5b58\u91cd\u5e86\u4ee5\u53ca\u5df4\u5357\u7684\u539f\u6c41\u539f\u5473\uff0c\u573a\u5730\u8d28\u611f\u7684\u9009\u62e9\u4fa7\u91cd\u4e8e\u4f53\u73b0\u5c71\u57ce\u53ca\u8001\u57ce\u9547\u7684\u539f\u751f\u8272\u5f69\u4e0e\u539a\u5b9e\u611f\uff0c\u5c42\u6b21\u611f\uff0c\u540c\u65f6\u5c06\u4f53\u80b2\u6d3b\u52a8\u4e2d\u7684\u70ed\u529b\u4e0e\u6fc0\u60c5\uff0c\u7528\u663e\u6027\u7684\u666f\u89c2\u8272\u5f69\u56e0\u5b50\uff0c\u6ce8\u5165\u573a\u5730\u3002<\/p>\n

Different from typical new-built urban projects,\u00a0our\u00a0landscape planning and design\u00a0intends to maintain the original and authentic\u00a0characteristics\u00a0of\u00a0Banan in Chongqing, and the choice of site texture focuses on reflecting the\u00a0colorness, solidness and topography\u00a0of the\u00a0mountainous city\u00a0and the\u00a0old town. Meanwhile, the heat and passion in sports activities are injected into the site with visible\u00a0colorful\u00a0landscape elements.<\/p>\n

\u6700\u7ec8\u786c\u8d28\u6750\u6599\u5927\u9762\u91c7\u7528\u66f4\u4e3a\u7c97\u65f7\u7684\u5f69\u8272\u9732\u9aa8\u6599\u6df7\u51dd\u571f\uff0c\u642d\u914d\u94a2\u7ed3\u6784\u6846\u67b6\u7684\u4f53\u80b2\u573a\u9986\u5efa\u7b51\u7acb\u9762\uff0c\u7a7f\u63d2\u5546\u4e1a\u5c0f\u706b\u8f66\u7684\u94c1\u8f68\uff0c\u5f62\u6210\u786c\u6717\u539a\u5b9e\u7684\u8f7b\u5de5\u4e1a\u98ce\u683c\u3002<\/p>\n

With that context, we prefer to have\u00a0coarser and more monolithic materials to cover most of the site. Eventually, the\u00a0exposed aggregate concrete with ceramic decorations were chosen as the main hardscape materials. The new\u00a0stadium facade was renovated\u00a0with\u00a0the\u00a0artistic-pattern\u00a0steel frame, which works well\u00a0with the rails of cable tram,\u00a0as\u00a0they share and express\u00a0a solid +\u00a0subtle industrial style.<\/p>\n
