The building represents the \ufb01rst phase of Studio Woodroffe Papa\u2019s masterplan to revitalize the science park and its design responds to the changing trends within the innovation and knowledge economy.<\/p>\n

They require buildings to be more \ufb02exible, resilient and sustainable with greater access to open space, and of\ufb01ces to be more vibrant and \u2018experiential\u2019, supported by events-based lifestyle activities that place greater emphasis on well-being and collaboration.<\/p>\n

\u573a\u5730\u539f\u73af\u5883\u53cd\u6620\u4e86\u8001\u4e00\u4ee3\u6280\u672f\u56ed\u533a\u7684\u5185\u5411\u578b\u5de5\u4f5c\u7a7a\u95f4\u3001\u8857\u9053\u73af\u5883\u4e0d\u53cb\u597d\u548c\u5efa\u7b51\u5b64\u7acb\u7b49\u5178\u578b\u73b0\u8c61\u3002Ascent\u62d2\u7edd\u5ef6\u7528\u8fd9\u79cd\u6a21\u5f0f\uff0c\u5e76\u63d0\u51fa\u4e86\u201c\u7a7a\u95f4\u96c6\u7fa4\u201d\u7684\u65b0\u6982\u5ff5\uff0c\u8ba9\u5efa\u7b51\u3001\u666f\u89c2\u548c\u4ea4\u901a\u878d\u5408\u5728\u4e00\u8d77\uff0c\u5f62\u6210\u76f8\u4e92\u8fde\u63a5\u7684\u5ba4\u5916\u7f51\u7edc\u73af\u5883\u7cfb\u7edf\u2014\u2014\u4e00\u4e2a\u7406\u60f3\u7684\u4ee5\u4eba\u4e3a\u672c\u7684\u793e\u4f1a\u73af\u5883\uff0c\u4fc3\u8fdb\u5de5\u4f5c\u3001\u5a31\u4e50\u548c\u5b66\u4e60\u4e4b\u95f4\u7684\u4ea4\u53c9\u548c\u534f\u540c\u4f5c\u7528\u3002<\/p>\n

The existing context re\ufb02ects an older generation of technology parks with their inward-looking workspaces, unfriendly street environments and isolated buildings. Ascent rejects this model and instead proposes an alternative concept of \u2018spatial clustering\u2019, where architecture, landscape and circulation are integrated to create a system of inter-connected indoor and outdoor networking environments – an ideal human-centric, social setting that encourages crossovers and synergies between working, playing and learning.<\/p>\n

\u5efa\u7b51\u4e0a\u5c42\u4e3a\u533a\u57df\u603b\u90e8\u548c\u7814\u53d1\u516c\u53f8\u63d0\u4f9b\u4e86\u5927\u800c\u6df1\u7684\u5e73\u9762\u529e\u516c\u7a7a\u95f4\uff0c\u5177\u6709\u4e00\u5b9a\u7075\u6d3b\u6027\uff0c\u4e0b\u9762\u4e24\u5c42(\u9879\u76ee\u6240\u8c13\u7684\u201c\u5730\u9762\u52a0\u539a\u5c42\u201d)\u5219\u5728\u4e00\u7cfb\u5217\u7684\u5ead\u9662\u548c\u82b1\u56ed\u4e2d\u8bbe\u7f6e\u4e86\u53cc\u5c42\u9ad8\u5ea6\u7684\u5927\u5802\u533a\u3001\u4ff1\u4e50\u90e8\u7a7a\u95f4\u3001\u5c55\u89c8\u548c\u6d3b\u52a8\u7a7a\u95f4\u3001\u5171\u4eab\u529e\u516c\u7a7a\u95f4\u3001\u5546\u5e97\u3001\u9910\u5385\u3001\u6258\u513f\u6240\u548c\u836f\u623f\u3002<\/p>\n

While the upper levels provide large, deep plan of\ufb01ce space \ufb02exibility for regional headquarters and R+D companies, the lower two levels – the project\u2019s so-called \u2018thickened ground\u2019 – accommodates double height lobby areas, club spaces, exhibition and event spaces, co-working spaces, shops, restaurants, a creche and a pharmacy, all set within a sequence of courts and gardens.<\/p>\n

\u9879\u76ee\u4e2d\uff0c\u8bbe\u8ba1\u5e08\u6210\u529f\u8bf4\u670d\u5ba2\u6237\u63a8\u7ffb\u4f20\u7edf\u7684\u5c06\u5efa\u7b51\u4e0e\u8857\u9053\u5206\u5f00\u7684\u4e0a\u4e0b\u5ba2\u533a\u57df\u5e03\u5c40\uff0c\u5c06\u4e0a\u4e0b\u5ba2\u533a\u548c\u670d\u52a1\u533a\u8f6c\u79fb\u5230\u573a\u5730\u540e\u90e8\uff0c\u8ba9\u5efa\u7b51\u66f4\u9760\u8fd1\u8857\u9053\uff0c\u4ece\u800c\u5efa\u7acb\u4e00\u4e2a\u66f4\u6709\u6d3b\u529b\u7684\u57ce\u5e02\u5f62\u8c61\u3002<\/p>\n

By persuading the client to re-think the traditional arrangement of drop-off and arrivals that typically separate the building from the street, Studio Woodroffe Papa were able to move the drop-off and service areas to the rear of the site, position the building closer to the street to establish a more active, urban presence.<\/p>\n

\u5efa\u7b51\u7684\u7acb\u9762\u7531\u73bb\u7483\u3001\u6298\u53e0\u6216\u6241\u5e73\u7684\u94dd\u677f\u7ec4\u6210\uff0c\u8fd9\u6837\u72ec\u7279\u7684\u56fe\u6848\uff0c\u53ef\u5728\u4e00\u5929\u7684\u4e0d\u540c\u65f6\u95f4\u5185\u521b\u9020\u4e0d\u540c\u7684\u89c6\u89c9\u611f\u53d7\u3002<\/p>\n

The building\u2019s fa\u00e7ade, composed of glazing, folded and flat aluminium panels, creates a unique pattern that looks different at various times of the day.<\/p>\n

Ascent\u5927\u53a6\u843d\u6210\u540e\uff0c\u51ed\u501f\u5176\u73af\u4fdd\u8bbe\u8ba1\u548c\u8868\u73b0\uff0c\u8363\u83b7\u65b0\u52a0\u5761\u5efa\u7b51\u5efa\u9020\u5c40\u9881\u53d1\u7684\u201c\u7eff\u8272\u5efa\u7b51\u201d\u7684\u6700\u9ad8\u8363\u8a89\u2014\u2014\u7eff\u6807\u767d\u91d1\u5956\u3002\u5efa\u7b51\u7acb\u9762\u91c7\u7528\u96c6\u6210\u5149\u4f0f\u6280\u672f(BIPV)\u53d1\u7535\uff0c\u53ef\u51cf\u5c11\u592a\u9633\u80fd\u5438\u6536\uff0c\u63d0\u9ad8\u80fd\u6e90\u6548\u7387\u3002<\/p>\n

Following its completion, Ascent was awarded a Green Mark Platinum Award, the highest honour for a \u201cgreen building\u201d accorded by Singapore\u2019s Building Construction Authority (BCA) for its environmental design and performance. The building uses Building-integrated Photovoltaic Technology (BIPV) on the facade to generate electricity, reduce solar gain and increase energy efficiency.<\/p>\n
