We embraced some of the quirky aspects of the original landscape, such as a large peace sign made of lava stone, and transplanted existing jojoba shrubs that were cultivated as a crop on the eight-acre property.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u6211\u4eec\u8bbe\u8ba1\u4e86\u4e00\u4e2a\u98ce\u5316\u7684\u94a2\u4e54\u6728\u8de8\u8d8a\u4e86\u623f\u5b50\u7684\u540e\u9762\uff0c\u5e76\u906e\u4f4f\u4e86\u65b0\u7684\u9910\u5385\uff0c\u4fef\u77b0\u7740\u65b0\u7684\u8461\u8404\u56ed\u3002 \u6211\u4eec\u5728\u8461\u8404\u6811\u4e4b\u95f4\u653e\u7f6e\u4e86\u4e00\u4e2a\u8150\u8d25\u7684\u6cd5\u9662\uff0c\u5e76\u8bbe\u7f6e\u4e86\u4e00\u4e2a\u9632\u706b\u5751\uff0c\u4ee5\u9762\u5bf9\u5c71\u9876\u7684\u666f\u8272\u3002 \u7531\u4e8e\u5f53\u5730\u7684\u6c34\u8d44\u6e90\u9650\u5236\u548c\u6301\u7eed\u7684\u5e72\u65f1\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u4f7f\u7528\u4e86\u4e00\u4e2a\u6d41\u7ebf\u578b\u7684\u8010\u65f1\u690d\u7269\u8c03\u8272\u677f\uff0c\u5e76\u5728\u623f\u5b50\u5468\u56f4\u8bbe\u8ba1\u4e86\u8c4c\u8c46\u77f3\u3002 \u4e0e\u8461\u8404\u56ed\u987e\u95ee\u5408\u4f5c\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u8bbe\u8ba1\u4e86\u8461\u8404\u56ed\u7684\u5e03\u5c40\uff0c\u4ece\u623f\u5c4b\u548c\u82b1\u56ed\u7684\u884c\u5217\u4e2d\u83b7\u5f97\u957f\u671f\u7684\u666f\u89c2\u3002<\/p>\n We designed a weathered steel arbor to span the back of the house and shade new seating areas that overlook the new vineyard. We placed a bocce court among the vines and located a fire pit to face the mountain views beyond. Due to local water restrictions and the ongoing drought, we used a streamlined palette of drought-tolerant plants and designed expanses of pea stone around the house.
