MC A<\/a><\/strong>: The new headquarters of Rome Tre University, city and campus life are intertwined and embrace integration. The ground floor square and the sky garden platform are open to the public at different levels, which not only realizes the exchange and interaction between the school and the society, but also ensures the order of teaching activities.The design follows the “organic dispersion” principle of the plant world, fully implements the flexibility and spatial fluidity of educational buildings, and redefines the future campus model. Old industrial area usually give the impression of serious pollution, overgrown grass, abandoned steel structures, factories…<\/p>\n

The project hopes to provide a high-standard campus building for the area, while also building a place suitable for public leisure and communication. Open plaza courtyards, surrounded by lawn landscapes and numerous trees, harness the power of public buildings to drive urban development, enhance social cohesion, and transform the industrial area into a vibrant destination.<\/p>\n

\nOpenness: Blur the boundary between the school and the city, the campus landscape and the city block penetrate each other, forming an equal dialogue.
\nFlexibility: Using the wisdom of “organic dispersion” of plants, the campus structure is optimized, and the space is divided flexibly so that each part is independent and interconnected.
\nHybridity: Mixing of various functions such as office, teaching and public display, improve the utilization rate of the building and stimulate vitality.
\nSustainability: Based on the principles of passive design and environmental sustainability, improve the quality of public spaces and enhance the quality of life in the area.<\/p>\n

The building adopts an open strategy of symbiosis with the city, and realizes the spatial integration of the university and the area. The public plaza is not only a part of the campus, but also partially shades the neighborhood. The plaza acts as an aggregator, attracting crowds, creating a vibrant pedestrian area, connecting with the surrounding area and enhancing the quality of the city.<\/p>\n

The ground floor plaza is connected to Ostia Avenue and opens to the city, where vegetation floods into the interior space, blurring the boundaries between inside and outside. Fresh vegetation has been planted in the square, and some aisles and steps create many informal gathering or working spaces for teachers, students and visitors. In the intimate contact with nature, it provides a place for interaction and communication between people.<\/p>\n

\u4eba\u4eec\u4e0d\u4f1a\u518d\u6025\u5306\u5306\u5730\u64e6\u8eab\u800c\u8fc7\uff0c\u800c\u4f1a\u5728\u751f\u52a8\u7684\u573a\u6240\uff0c\u5728\u6c90\u6d74\u7740\u67d4\u548c\u5149\u7ebf\u7684\u3001\u6709\u7740\u4ee4\u4eba\u60ca\u8bb6\u548c\u4e0d\u65ad\u53d8\u5316\u7684\u98ce\u666f\u7684\u72ec\u7279\u7a7a\u95f4\u91cc\u4f1a\u9762\u3002<\/p>\n

The semi-open sky garden on the third floor separates the public area open to the city from the private area belonging to the university. Diversified vegetation, landscape, beautiful and durable wooden floor pavement can easily create a sky garden platform with excellent views and greenery. It not only plays the role of reducing traffic noise for the teaching area, but also the role of a green connecting channel, connecting three oval all-glass curtain wall buildings. Although the ground floor plaza and sky garden are independent of each other, they are open to the city in layers. But the atrium on the square establishes a visual connection for the two and provides the possibility of communication.<\/p>\n

Instead of rushing past, people will meet in vivid places, unique spaces bathed in soft light and with surprising and ever-changing landscapes.<\/p>\n

\u5efa\u7b51\u4e00\u4e8c\u5c42\u4e3b\u8981\u4f5c\u4e3a\u63a5\u5f85\u533a\u548c\u516c\u5171\u7a7a\u95f4\u3002\u4e0d\u4ec5\u5bf9\u4eba\u7fa4\u6709\u6548\u5206\u6d41\uff0c\u800c\u4e14\u8fd8\u53ef\u4f5c\u4e3a\u8054\u7edc\u548c\u6c9f\u901a\u7684\u573a\u6240\uff0c\u4e3e\u529e\u591a\u79cd\u6587\u5316\u6d3b\u52a8\u548c\u5c55\u89c8\u7b49\u3002<\/p>\n

The three new buildings are organically interconnected through the horizontal connection of the ground floor square and sky garden, and the vertical connection inside the space, which is both interconnected and independent.<\/p>\n

The first and second floors of the building are mainly used as reception areas and public spaces. Not only can it effectively divert the crowd, but it can also be used as a place for contact and communication to hold a variety of cultural activities and exhibitions.<\/p>\n

\u5efa\u7b51\u4e09\u5c42\u4ee5\u4e0a\u7684\u7a7a\u95f4\u79c1\u5bc6\u6027\u8f83\u9ad8\uff0c\u627f\u8f7d\u5927\u5b66\u7684\u51e0\u4e2a\u91cd\u8981\u529f\u80fd\uff1aDAMS\u673a\u6784\u3001 \u529e\u516c\u7a7a\u95f4\u548c\u6559\u5b66\u7a7a\u95f4\u3002\u5e03\u5c40\u6982\u5ff5\u5c06\u529e\u516c\u5ba4\u548c\u4f1a\u8bae\u5ba4\u5b89\u6392\u5728\u5916\u56f4\uff0c\u4fdd\u8bc1\u767d\u5929\u548c\u665a\u4e0a\u623f\u95f4\u7684\u81ea\u7136\u901a\u98ce\u3002\u5168\u73bb\u7483\u5e55\u5899\u7684\u8bbe\u7f6e\u53ef\u4ee5\u5b9e\u73b0\u9ad8\u6c34\u5e73\u7684\u81ea\u7136\u65e5\u5149\uff0c\u4ece\u800c\u51cf\u5c11\u767d\u5929\u4f7f\u7528\u4eba\u9020\u5149\u7684\u673a\u7387\u3002\u5efa\u7b51\u5185\u90e8\u7684\u4e3b\u8981\u7a7a\u95f4\u90fd\u53ef\u4ee5\u4fef\u77b0\u4e09\u5c42\u5e73\u53f0\u7684\u7a7a\u4e2d\u82b1\u56ed\uff0c\u53ef\u7f13\u89e3\u89c6\u89c9\u75b2\u52b3\uff0c\u5177\u6709\u6781\u4f73\u7684\u89c6\u91ce\u3002<\/p>\n

The space above the third floor of the building is highly private and carries several important functions of the university: DAMS, offices and teaching space. The layout concept arranges offices and meeting rooms on the periphery, guaranteeing natural ventilation of the rooms during the day and night. The all-glass fa\u00e7ade allows for high levels of natural daylight, reducing the chance of artificial light being used during the day. The main space inside the building can overlook the sky garden on the three-story platform, which can relieve visual fatigue and have an excellent view.<\/p>\n

The project is based entirely on the principles of passive design and environmental sustainability to minimise energy consumption and optimise comfort both inside and outside the building. By studying the local climate and sun height, the shape of the building was designed as an oval with a taper on the east and west sides to help reduce sunlight exposure and thus prevent overheating and glare in summer.<\/p>\n

A system of garden terraces at different heights of the building, forming vertical gardens, enhances the recognizability of the fa\u00e7ade while helping to take advantage of bioclimatic properties and improve interior comfort.<\/p>\n
