IAAC<\/a><\/strong>\uff1aThe Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC) presents the first building made with earth and a 3D printer in Spain, a project born from the ongoing research conducted by IAAC to find new ways of facing the social and environmental challenges of the future through its various education and research programs.<\/p>\n

The construction has been carried out at the Valldaura Labs facilities, on the outskirts of Barcelona. It is a prototype that represents the bridge between the past \u2014 vernacular earthen architecture \u2014 and the future \u2014 large scale 3D printing technology \u2014 which will not only serve to change the architecture of the future, but will also be very useful when facing the current climate and housing crisis across the globe.<\/p>\n

\u8be5\u9879\u76ee\u5c5e\u4e8eIAAC\u76843dPA\u7814\u7a76\u751f\u5b9e\u9a8c\u9879\u76ee\u3002\u8fd9\u95e8\u5b9e\u9a8c\u8bfe\u7a0b\u7684\u76ee\u6807\u662f\u4e3a\u672a\u6765\u7684\u5efa\u7b51\u884c\u4e1a\u57f9\u517b\u5e74\u8f7b\u7684\u5efa\u7b51\u5e08\u548c\u5b66\u8005\uff0c\u5e76\u63a2\u7d223D\u6253\u5370\u5728\u8fd9\u4e00\u9886\u57df\u7684\u53ef\u80fd\u6027\u3002<\/p>\n

\u201cTOVA\u201d\u662f\u4e0eWASP\u5408\u4f5c\u7684\u4e00\u4e2a\u66f4\u5927\u9879\u76ee\u7684\u5f00\u59cb\uff0c\u8be5\u9879\u76ee\u8ba1\u5212\u75283D\u6253\u5370\u6280\u672f\u5efa\u9020\u4e00\u5ea7\u5b8c\u6574\u7684\u4f4f\u5b85\u3002<\/p>\n

The project has been developed by the 3dPA post-graduate research program at the IAAC. The objective of this course is to train young architects and academics for the future of construction and to explore the possibilities of 3D printing in this sector.<\/p>\n

\u2018TOVA\u2019 is the beginning of a larger project in collaboration with WASP in which a complete house made with 3D printing technology is projected.<\/p>\n

TOVA\u662f\u897f\u73ed\u7259\u9996\u5ea7\u6b64\u7c7b\u578b\u7684\u5efa\u7b51\uff0c\u662f\u5f53\u4eca\u6700\u53ef\u6301\u7eed\u548c\u6700\u73af\u4fdd\u7684\u5efa\u7b51\u5f62\u5f0f\u4e4b\u4e00\u3002\u8be5\u5efa\u7b51\u8017\u65f67\u5468\u5b8c\u6210\uff0c\u4f7f\u7528\u4e86\u8d77\u91cd\u673a\u3001\u5efa\u7b513D\u6253\u5370\u673a\u548c\u96f6\u8017\u80fd\u6750\u6599\u3002<\/p>\n

\u5efa\u7b51\u6750\u6599\u53d6\u81ea\u65b9\u570650\u7c73\u5185\uff0c\u6574\u4e2a\u65bd\u5de5\u8fc7\u7a0b\u53ef\u4ee5\u5b9e\u73b0\u96f6\u6d6a\u8d39\u3002\u5efa\u7b51\u7ed3\u6784\u7531\u5f53\u5730\u7684\u6ce5\u571f\u5236\u6210\uff0c\u6df7\u5408\u4e86\u6dfb\u52a0\u5242\u548c\u9176\uff0c\u53ef\u4ee5\u786e\u4fdd\u623f\u5c4b\u4f18\u53163d\u6253\u5370\u6240\u5fc5\u9700\u7684\u7ed3\u6784\u5b8c\u6574\u6027\u548c\u6750\u6599\u5f39\u6027\u3002\u5730\u57fa\u7531\u5730\u8d28\u805a\u5408\u7269\u5236\u6210\uff0c\u5c4b\u9876\u4e3a\u6728\u7ed3\u6784\u3002\u4e3a\u4e86\u786e\u4fdd\u6750\u6599\u7684\u8010\u5019\u6027\uff0c\u56e2\u961f\u8fd8\u5229\u7528\u82a6\u835f\u7b49\u5929\u7136\u63d0\u53d6\u6750\u6599\u6dfb\u52a0\u4e86\u9632\u6c34\u6d82\u5c42\u3002<\/p>\n

It is the first building of this type in Spain and stands out for being one of the most sustainable and environmentally friendly construction forms that can be applied today. The construction took 7 weeks time to complete, a Crane WASP, the architectural 3D printer and km zero materials.<\/p>\n

During the entire construction process, zero waste is generated, as the materials were sourced within a 50 meters radius. The structure is made of local earth, mixed with additives and enzymes, to ensure the structural integrity and material elasticity necessary for the optimized 3d printing of the house. The foundation is made of geo-polymer and the roof, wooden construction. To ensure the longevity of the material in resistance to weather, a waterproof coating is added using raw extracted materials such as aloe and egg whites.<\/p>\n
