DOMANI<\/strong><\/a>: The project is located in a traditional industrial area of Guangzhou \/ on the west bank of the Pearl River. The original buildings were built in the 1950s as granaries (four separate brick buildings, the most important grain storage warehouses in Guangzhou). The interior of the building was renovated by DOMANI, and the renovated space is used as an urban planning exhibition hall and multi-functional activity centre.<\/p>\n

\u805a\u9f99\u6e7e\u57ce\u5e02\u5ba2\u5385\u662f\u5f15\u9886\u57ce\u5e02\u8001\u533a\u5168\u9762\u6539\u9020\u6d3b\u5316\u7684\u5730\u6807\u5de5\u7a0b\u9879\u76ee\u3002\u8bbe\u8ba1\u5e08\u4ee5\u201c\u4fee\u65e7\u5982\u753b\u201d\u7406\u5ff5\u8fdb\u884c\u5efa\u7b51\u5ba4\u5185\u4e00\u4f53\u5316\u8bbe\u8ba1\u5b9e\u73b0\u65e7\u5efa\u7b51\u573a\u57df\u6d3b\u5316\u4e0e\u6709\u673a\u7559\u5b58\uff0c\u540c\u65f6\u4ea6\u662f\u4ecb\u5165\u4e2d\u56fd\u5f53\u4ee3\u53ef\u6301\u7eed\u57ce\u5e02\u53d1\u5c55\u8fdb\u7a0b\u7684\u63a2\u7d22\u4e0e\u5b9e\u8df5\u3002<\/p>\n

The Jurong Bay City exhibition room\u00a0is a landmark project that will lead the way in the revitalization of the city’s older districts.\u00a0The design is based on the concept of ‘restoration of the old as a painting’, which enables the revitalization and organic retention of the old architectural space, as well as the exploration and practice of intervening in the process of contemporary sustainable urban development in China.<\/p>\n

\u4ed3\u5e93\u5efa\u7b51\u7a7a\u95f4\u539f\u751f\u529f\u80fd\u5355\u4e00\uff0c\u7ed3\u6784\u7b80\u5355\u3002\u51fa\u4e8e\u5c55\u5385\u8fde\u901a\u6027\u7684\u529f\u80fd\u9700\u6c42\u8003\u8651\uff0c\u901a\u8fc7\u5728\u65e7\u5efa\u7b51\u4e09\u680b\u72ec\u7acb\u7684\u5382\u623f\u4e0a\u52a0\u76d6\u94a2\u6784\u73bb\u7483\u9876\u68da\u6765\u5f62\u6210\u8fde\u8d2f\u7684\u4f7f\u7528\u903b\u8f91\u4e0e\u7a7a\u95f4\u573a\u57df\u3002\u5ba4\u5185\u7a7a\u95f4\u89c4\u5212\u4e0a\u5c06\u539f\u5148\u76f8\u4e92\u5272\u88c2\u7684\u5c40\u90e8\u878d\u5165\u6574\u4f53\uff0c\u4f9d\u636e\u7a7a\u95f4\u7279\u6027\u7f6e\u5165\u591a\u6837\u4e14\u7075\u6d3b\u53ef\u53d8\u7684\u529f\u80fd\u5206\u533a\u3002<\/p>\n

The warehouse building space has a single original function and a simple structure.\u00a0The functional requirements for the connectivity of the exhibition hall were met by the addition of a steel and glass roof over the three separate buildings of the old building to create a coherent use and spatial field.<\/p>\n

\u6539\u9020\u4e2d\u6700\u5927\u7a0b\u5ea6\u4fdd\u7559\u4e86\u539f\u57404\u680b\u72ec\u7acb\u7684\u5382\u623f\u5efa\u7b51\u7684\u7ed3\u6784\u53ca\u6750\u6599\uff0c\u65b0\u5efa\u90e8\u5206\u6240\u7528\u4e3b\u6750\u4e3a\u4eff\u5236\u5de5\u4e1a\u7ea2\u7816\u3002\u5176\u4e09\u89d2\u5f62\u5916\u89c2\u6cbf\u88ad\u4e86\u65e7\u5efa\u7b51\u5c4b\u9876\u503e\u659c\u89d2\u5ea6\u6570\u636e\uff0c\u540c\u65f6\u8fdb\u884c\u4e86\u4e09\u89d2\u7a33\u5b9a\u5f62\u6001\u7684\u8c61\u5f81\u6027\u8868\u8fbe\u3002\u73b0\u4ee3\u94a2\u6784\u3001\u73bb\u7483\u3001\u539f\u751f\u7ea2\u7816\u5f62\u6210\u4e86\u6750\u6599\u53ca\u7ed3\u6784\u4e0a\u5ba1\u7f8e\u4e0e\u610f\u5411\u7684\u5bf9\u649e\u3002<\/p>\n

The structure and materials of the four separate factory buildings on the original site have been retained to the greatest extent possible, with the main material used in the new section being replica industrial red bricks. The triangular appearance follows the sloping angle of the roof of the old building, while providing a symbolic expression of the triangular stability of the form. The modern steel, glass and original red brick form an aesthetic and intentional clash of materials and structures.<\/p>\n
