Abin Design Studio<\/strong><\/a>\uff1a\u2018Children\u2019 and \u2018Childhood\u2019 are going thru a crisis in the Global context. They are set in mundane moulds of this society governed by preconceived notions of education and lifestyle. Some children are even more unlucky to loose their childhood because of political turmoil and inhuman violence. The society needs to voice its opinion on this issue. \u2018Art\u2019 can be one such very strong medium to express the concerns pertaining to the children, who are actually the future flag bearers and responsible for the progress of our civilization.<\/p>\n

\u8be5\u88c5\u7f6e\u4ee5\u201c\u7ae5\u5e74\u201d\u2014\u2014\u4eba\u7c7b\u4e00\u751f\u4e2d\u6700\u5177\u53ef\u5851\u6027\u548c\u6700\u7f8e\u597d\u7684\u9636\u6bb5\u4f5c\u4e3a\u8bbe\u8ba1\u6982\u5ff5\u3002\u88c5\u7f6e\u5728\u5165\u53e3\u4e0a\u65b9\u4ee5\u4e00\u53ea\u62bd\u8c61\u7684\u98de\u9e1f\u5f62\u5f0f\u8868\u73b0\u4e86\u5b69\u5b50\u7684\u60f3\u8c61\u529b\u548c\u521b\u9020\u529b\u3002\u98de\u9e1f\u7684\u7fc5\u8180\u9010\u6e10\u6536\u7f29\uff0c\u6700\u540e\u5e7b\u5316\u6210\u4e3a\u4e00\u7ec4\u65b9\u5f62\u7684\u76d2\u5b50\u3002\u8fd9\u4e9b\u76d2\u5b50\u662f\u5bf9\u513f\u7ae5\u5de8\u5927\u7684\u6f5c\u529b\u6e10\u6e10\u88ab\u9650\u5236\u7684\u9690\u55bb\uff0c\u8be5\u88c5\u7f6e\u901a\u8fc7\u8fd9\u79cd\u7ed3\u6784\u7684\u5b89\u6392\u5bf9\u6b64\u7c7b\u73b0\u8c61\u505a\u51fa\u4e86\u6279\u5224\u3002\u968f\u540e\uff0c\u88c5\u7f6e\u72ec\u7279\u7684\u5f62\u5f0f\u8feb\u4f7f\u53c2\u89c2\u8005\u8fdb\u5165\u4e00\u4e2a\u201c\u7a7a\u6d1e\u201d\uff0c\u8fd9\u662f\u4e00\u4e2a\u53ef\u4ee5\u5750\u4e0b\u6765\u6c89\u601d\u7684\u5730\u65b9\uff0c\u6709\u52a9\u4e8e\u6fc0\u53d1\u4eba\u4eec\u91cd\u65b0\u601d\u8003\u5b69\u5b50\u4eec\u7684\u672a\u6765\u3002The installation is based on the idea of \u2018Childhood\u2019 – the most formative and beautiful phase of human existence. At the entrance of the installation, an abstract flight of birds overhead depicts the freedom of thought and creativity in young children. The wings gradually diminish and the birds tessellate into an array of boxes. Along with the deconstructed arrangement, the boxes put forward a commentary on the scenario of a child\u2019s immense inherent potential getting slowly confined into a metaphorical box. The form of the installation then compels the viewer into a \u2018void\u2019, a place to sit and contemplate, in the axial presence of \u201cMaa Durga\u201d – the source of energy, compassion and rejuvenation. This moment for reflection is intended to stir people into rethinking about the future of our children.<\/section>\n

\u8fd9\u5ea7\u4e34\u65f6\u88c5\u7f6e\u91c7\u7528\u96f6\u51c0\u5b89\u88c5\uff0c\u6240\u4f7f\u7528\u7684\u6750\u6599\u5747\u4e3a100%\u53ef\u56de\u6536\u3002\u4e3b\u5c55\u9986\u7531\u8f6f\u94a2\u5236\u6210\uff0c\u5c06\u88ab\u62c6\u9664\u5e76\u91cd\u65b0\u4f7f\u7528\uff1b\u795e\u50cf\u7531\u56de\u6536\u7684\u91d1\u5c5e\u5236\u6210\uff0c\u5c06\u4f5c\u4e3a\u96d5\u5851\u4fdd\u7559\u4e0b\u6765\uff0c\u4f9b\u79c1\u4eba\u6536\u85cf\u6216\u5728\u7f8e\u672f\u9986\u5c55\u51fa\u3002\u5176\u4ed6\u5efa\u7b51\u5143\u7d20\u5305\u62ec\u7af9\u5b50\u548c\u80f6\u5408\u677f\uff0c\u4e5f\u5c06\u7528\u4e8e\u672a\u6765\u7684\u5176\u4ed6\u5c55\u9986\u3002\u9664\u6b64\u4e4b\u5916\uff0c\u5176\u4f59\u88c5\u9970\u5143\u7d20\u90fd\u662f\u7531\u56de\u6536\u7684\u62a5\u7eb8\u7cbe\u5fc3\u5236\u4f5c\u800c\u6210\u3002<\/section>\n

This temporal pavilion is a totally net-zero installation with all materials used is 100% recyclable. The main pavilion is made of mild steel is to be dismantled and reused and the idols are made of scrap recycled metal will be retained as a sculpture for private collection or in art galleries. Other construction elements include bamboo and ply-board, also to be reused for other future pavilions. Apart from this other decorative elements are all crafted and re-used from newspaper.<\/p>\n

\u8be5\u88c5\u7f6e\u662fAbin\u8bbe\u8ba1\u5de5\u4f5c\u5ba4\u9996\u6b21\u4e3a\u8be5\u5e02\u6700\u5927\u7684\u793e\u533a\u8282\u65e5\u675c\u5c14\u8fe6\u5973\u795e\u8282\uff08Durga Puja\uff09\u800c\u8bbe\u8ba1\uff0c\u5e76\u7531\u4e0d\u540c\u5b66\u79d1\u7684\u4eba\u4eec\u5408\u4f5c\u5b8c\u6210\u3002\u5f53\u5730\u793e\u533a\u6216\u201cPara\u201d\uff08\u5b5f\u52a0\u62c9\u8bed\uff09\u5c06\u8fd9\u4e00\u91cd\u4efb\u59d4\u6258\u7ed9\u6211\u4eec\uff0c\u5e76\u8868\u73b0\u51fa\u6781\u5927\u7684\u70ed\u60c5\uff0c\u8fd9\u4e5f\u662f\u6211\u4eec\u6240\u6709\u4eba\u521b\u4f5c\u8be5\u4e34\u65f6\u5c55\u9986\u7684\u4e00\u5927\u52a8\u529b\u3002\u9664\u6b64\u4e4b\u5916\uff0c\u5c55\u9986\u7531\u5efa\u7b51\u8bbe\u8ba1\u4e8b\u52a1\u6240\u3001\u8bbe\u8ba1\u795e\u50cf\u548c\u914d\u9970\u7684\u96d5\u5851\u5bb6\u4ee5\u53ca\u5236\u4f5c\u80cc\u666f\u914d\u4e50\u7684\u97f3\u4e50\u5bb6\u5171\u540c\u6784\u601d\uff0c\u5e76\u753150\u591a\u4eba\u7ec4\u6210\u7684\u56e2\u961f\u5efa\u9020\uff0c\u5176\u4e2d\u5305\u62ec\u5de5\u7a0b\u5e08\u3001\u5b89\u88c5\u4eba\u5458\u3001\u827a\u672f\u5bb6\u3001\u706f\u5149\u548c\u6570\u5b57\u6295\u5f71\u6280\u672f\u4eba\u5458\uff0c\u6574\u4e2a\u8fc7\u7a0b\u8fd8\u5f97\u5230\u4e86Behala Nutan Dal\u4ff1\u4e50\u90e8\u5fd7\u613f\u8005\u7684\u5e2e\u52a9\u548c\u652f\u6301\u3002<\/p>\n

It is the first time Abin Design Studio has designed a pavilion built for the \u201cDurga Puja\u201d, the biggest community festival of the City. It is a collaborative effort between people across various disciplines. The first to mention among them would be the local community or \u2018Para\u2019 (in Bengali) for entrusting us this huge responsibility and their immense amount of enthusiasm. Their passion and pride has been the driving factor for all of us. Apart from this the pavilion is conceptualized between our studio team of architects along with sculptors who designed the idols and accessories, and musicians who developed the background score. The whole setup has been executed by a team of more than 50 people, engineers and fabricators, artists, technicians of light and digital projection. The whole effort has been backed and supported by volunteers of the Behala Nutan Dal Club.<\/p>\n
