DAGA Architects<\/strong><\/a>: We wander through the concrete jungle of the city, exhausted from the fatigue of life, and strive to satisfy our consumption desires. In modern cities , people pour their savings to buy the limited green and freedom to breathe in the “concrete forest”. In this case, DAGA Architects renovated a transparent box in the office park on Dongsi North Street that satisfies both day and night wine.<\/p>\n

The original site of Dongcheng Mix Islandis the first floor of a 3-story office building, adjacent to the park parking lot and entrance guardrail, based on this, we have renovated the interior in a small area to create a convenient parking to meet the surrounding social, work and other public activities and mutual exchange of day coffee and night wine space.<\/p>\n

\u4eea\u5f0f\u611f\u662f\u6700\u4e3a\u76f4\u63a5\u7684\u89c6\u89c9\u7b26\u53f7\uff0c\u80fd\u591f\u6e05\u6670\u5730\u8868\u8fbe\u51fa\u8bbe\u8ba1\u8005\u7684\u903b\u8f91\u6982\u5ff5\u3002\u672c\u6848\u5185\uff0c\u7acb\u9762\u4e2d\u4f7f\u7528\u7684\u6e38\u6cf3\u5708\u5143\u7d20\u6210\u4e3a\u5bf9\u573a\u57df\u6027\u683c\u7684\u7b2c\u4e00\u773c\u5370\u8c61\u3002\u539f\u59cb\u57fa\u7840\u5730\u53f0\u88ab\u7c89\u5237\u6210\u9192\u76ee\u7684\u8b66\u6212\u7ebf\u7b26\u53f7\uff0c\u4e0e\u505c\u8f66\u573a\u7a7a\u95f4\u5f62\u6210\u547c\u5e94\u3002\u901a\u900f\u7684\u73bb\u7483\u5e55\u5899\u5f15\u5165\u81ea\u7136\u5149\u7ebf\uff0c\u5c06\u5ba4\u5185\u5411\u5468\u56f4\u73af\u5883\u655e\u5f00\uff0c\u8ba9\u5185\u4e0e\u5916\u6709\u66f4\u591a\u89c6\u89c9\u4ea4\u6d41\u3002\u8fd9\u79cd\u5c06\u5185\u90e8\u7684\u6d3b\u52a8\u573a\u666f\u7f6e\u5165\u516c\u5171\u7a7a\u95f4\u7684\u624b\u6cd5\uff0c\u4f1a\u81ea\u7136\u800c\u7136\u7684\u5438\u5f15\u6765\u8bbf\u8005\u8d70\u8fdb\u6cf3\u6c60\u4e00\u63a2\u7a76\u7adf\u3002<\/p>\n

The sense of ritual is the most direct visual symbol, which can clearly express the designer’s philosophy. In this case, the swimming ring element used in the fa\u00e7ade became the first impression in the site. The original foundation floor is painted into a striking cordon symbol that echoes the parking spaces. Glass curtain walls that bring in natural light and open the interior to the surroundings, allowing for more visual communication between the inside and outside. This method of placing the internal activity scene into the public space will naturally attract visitors to enter the pool to have a look.<\/p>\n

Walking into the box, the load-bearing structures located on the exterior walls and interior are stripped back to their original forms, revealing the traces of the site in the most primitive way. Gray is an intermediate state between black and white, which can present different sensory states at different purity. The rock-inspired mottled pillars are the perfect backdrop, giving the space a dynamic and static rhythm. The diverse vegetation further stretches the longitudinal view, and its growth reveals the passage of time. We wanted the space to present a relaxed and natural rustic texture, combining only simple, original materials to form a unique space.<\/p>\n

The design is linked to the unique business logic of Mix Island. In order to solve this problem of the monotonous and lack of visual center in the original core area, we tried to make a decontextualized experimental space, using the visual identity of the swimming pool environment to turn it into a wonderful space that is very different from the original linguistic context – like a caf\u00e9 in the pool. In interior space, the floor and bar are covered with brightly colored white glazed tile veneer, while in the center of the pool, Use the refraction of color by light, and the azure blue glazed tile is selected to simulate the underwater effect.It is the reorganization and continuation of geometric figures, making the space rich in change and adding logical layers.<\/p>\n

When passing through the coffee making area and lush greenery, straight forward from the edge of the pool, the ordering area becomes the meeting place of circulation and the end of consumption behavior. The lighting at the top of the bar is the key to presetting the day and night. The translucency and opacity of the light, its reflection and refraction, will inspire a certain expressive qualities, these elements create a strong feeling of a spiritual fortress, lighting while blurring the boundary between indoor and outdoor, so that the indoor and outdoor spaces are integrated to a certain extent.<\/p>\n

In this case, attempts were made to use the implantation of “floodlight” to achieve different degrees of spatial overlap. The luminous light box on the outside of the glass curtain wall forms a homogeneous and shrouded light.When you come to the office building at nine o’clock in the evening, the transparent box is more like a habitat, carrying the limited green and breathing freedom of this concrete jungle. We look at the city through the box, or look inside the box from outside the city, and conversations between people create memories that are preserved in transparent boxes.<\/p>\n
