MARC FORNES \/ THEVERYMANY:\u00a0\u00a0<\/a><\/strong>Marquise is a spatial entry structure for El Paso\u2019s Westside Natatorium. A visual icon and architectural threshold, the lightweight aluminum structure transforms the approach and experience of this new public building. Gridded curvilinear panels comprise the brightly-colored canopy and as well its self-supporting structural system. A two-way Cheshire gradient in deep blues and warm yellows alternate graphically to emphasize the sweeping surfaces. Seemingly inflated by the wind, as a tent or sail, the ultra-thin surface billows up from the ground, where it forms two contiguous seats: cast in place concrete elements that inherit the compound curvature of the faceted but flowing surface.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Marquise\u4ee5\u4e0d\u540c\u7684\u65b9\u5f0f\u6765\u6253\u52a8\u6e38\u5ba2\uff1a\u5bf9\u4e8e\u6392\u961f\u6e38\u6cf3\u7684\u5c0f\u5ba2\u4eba\u6765\u8bf4\uff0c\u4e0a\u65b9\u4f3c\u4e4e\u662f\u67d0\u79cd\u9a6c\u620f\u56e2\u5e10\u7bf7\uff0c\u6216\u662f\u5728\u534a\u7a7a\u4e2d\u51bb\u7ed3\u7684\u964d\u843d\u4f1e\uff0c\u8ba9\u4eba\u6709\u70b9\u5174\u594b\u3002\u6210\u5e74\u987e\u5ba2\u5728\u8fdb\u884c\u6c34\u4e2d\u6709\u6c27\u8fd0\u52a8\u6216\u56de\u5230\u505c\u8f66\u573a\u4e4b\u524d\uff0c\u53ef\u80fd\u4f1a\u5728\u8fd9\u4e2a\u9634\u51c9\u7684\u5165\u53e3\u5904\u627e\u5230\u4e00\u4e2a\u6b22\u6109\u7684\u505c\u7559\u65f6\u523b\u3002<\/p>\n Marquise strikes its visitors differently: for small guests lining up for swimming lessons, the surface overhead appears to be some kind of circus tent, or a parachute frozen in midair. A bit of excitement before it\u2019s time to suit up. Older patrons might find a welcome moment of pause at this shady entrance, before water aerobics or heading back into the heat of the parking lot.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u5728\u6591\u9a73\u7684\u5149\u7ebf\u4e0b\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u5df2\u7ecf\u96d5\u523b\u51fa\u4e00\u4e2a\u4e0d\u4ec5\u4ec5\u662f\u4e3a\u4e86\u8fdb\u51fa\uff0c\u800c\u662f\u4ee4\u4eba\u5370\u8c61\u6df1\u523b\u7684\u5730\u65b9\u3002\u5f53\u60a8\u5728\u7b49\u5f85\u4e58\u8f66\u6216\u4e0e\u6e38\u6cf3\u961f\u4f1a\u9762\u65f6\uff0c\u6e38\u6cf3\u6c60\u5916\u9762\u662f\u4e00\u4e2a\u53ef\u4ee5\u653e\u677e\u7684\u5730\u65b9\u3002\u5728\u65e9\u4e0a6\u70b9\u4e4b\u524d\u4ee5\u53ca\u9ec4\u660f\u4e4b\u540e\uff0cMarquise\u4ea4\u66ff\u906e\u6321\u8f90\u5c04\u4ee5\u4f9b\u6e38\u6cf3\u8005\u548c\u5176\u4ed6\u4eba\u4f7f\u7528\u3002<\/p>\n Under dappled light, we’ve carved out a place that isn’t just for coming or going, but for lingering. At all hours, the space under and around Marquise welcomes moments that stretch into longer durations. When you’re waiting for your ride or meeting the swim team, outside the Natatorium is a place to chill out before dipping in. Before 6am laps to after dusk, Marquise alternately shades and radiates for pool-goers and all others.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u53cc\u9762\uff1a\u6761\u7eb9\u548c\u74e6\u7247<\/p>\n \u5728\u4e00\u4e2a\u50cf\u215b\u201c\u4e00\u6837\u8584\u7684\u8868\u9762\uff0c\u91cd\u53e0\u5728\u9876\u90e8\u4ea7\u751f\u7c7b\u4f3c\u94bb\u77f3\u7684\u56fe\u6848\uff0c\u4e0b\u9762\u770b\u8d77\u6765\u50cf\u662f\u8fde\u7eed\u7684\u6761\u7eb9\u3002\u5728\u8868\u9762\u7684\u8fb9\u7f18\u5904\uff0c\u63ed\u793a\u4e86\u4e24\u8005\u4e4b\u95f4\u7684\u66f2\u7ebf\u6e38\u9699\u3002<\/p>\n TWO-FACED: STRIPES AND SHINGLES<\/p>\n In a surface that is as thin as \u215b\u201d in places, overlaps to produce a diamond-like pattern on top, and what appear to be continuous stripes below. At the edge of the surface, the curvilinear play between the two is revealed.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u53cc\u5411\u6e10\u53d8\uff1aCheshire\u7740\u8272<\/p>\n \u4e00\u7ec4\u6d53\u90c1\u7684\u9ec4\u8272\u548c\u6df1\u84dd\u8272\u7684\u6e10\u53d8\u9075\u5faa\u53cc\u9762\u66f2\u9762\u7684A \/ B\u56fe\u6848\u3002\u4e24\u79cd\u4e92\u8865\u7684\u7b56\u7565\u8054\u5408\u8d77\u6765\u521b\u9020\u4e86\u7b2c\u4e09\u4e2a\u6761\u4ef6\uff1a\u4e00\u4e9b\u66f4\u4e30\u5bcc\u7684\u4e1c\u897f\u3002\u5728\u6c99\u6f20\u73af\u5883\u4e2d\u6d88\u9664\u6e29\u6696\u548c\u51c9\u723d\u4e4b\u95f4\u7684\u6ce2\u52a8\uff0c\u8272\u5f69\u4f7f\u5468\u56f4\u666f\u89c2\u7684\u8272\u8c03\u9971\u548c\u3002240\u4e2a\u72ec\u7279\u7684\u90e8\u5206\u88ab\u6d82\u6210\u516d\u79cd\u84dd\u8272\uff0c\u4ece\u660e\u4eae\u7684\u6b63\u5348\u5929\u7a7a\u5230\u6df1\u9083\u6e05\u6f88\u7684\u9ec4\u660f\u3002\u53e6\u5916280\u4e2a\u74e6\u7247\u88ab\u6d82\u6210\u4ece\u91d1\u9ec4\u8272\u5230\u6a59\u8272\u7684\u4e94\u79cd\u989c\u8272\u3002<\/p>\n TWO-WAY GRADIENT: CHESHIRE COLORATION<\/p>\n Gradients in a set of rich yellows and deep blues follow the A\/B patterning of dual-faced surface. Two complementary strategies unite to create a third condition–something richer. Playing off the fluctuations between warm and cool in the desert setting, the coloration saturates the palette of the surrounding landscape. 240 unique parts are painted in six shades of blues, from a bright midday sky to a deep, clear dusk.
