Zhuhai is a beautiful city featured with significant atmosphere of modern culture. It is a coastal city with mountainous and island scenery. From the romantic leisure beach to the European-style midnight bar, from the crowded entertainment square to the tranquil cultural museum, the connotation of Zhuhai culture has been expanded, which become an indispensable urban characteristic of Zhuhai.<\/p>\n

This project is located in Doumen District of Zhuhai, which is part of the Pearl River Delta with low and flat terrain, dense river network, and waterfront dwellers. Local conditions shall be taken into account, so to make the design represent the harmonious fusion of the city and the mountainous\/water pattern.<\/p>\n

\u63d0\u5347\u6bb5\u7531\u4e8e\u5efa\u8bbe\u5e74\u4ee3\u4e45\u8fdc\uff0c\u8bbe\u8ba1\u98ce\u683c\u4e0e\u65b0\u533a\u73b0\u4ee3\u5316\u57ce\u5e02\u5f62\u8c61\u4e0d\u7b26\uff0c\u540c\u65f6\u5b58\u5728\u4f4e\u8d28\u7684\u666f\u89c2\u4f53\u9a8c\u3001\u6742\u4e71\u65e0\u7ae0\u7684\u7eff\u5316\u7a7a\u95f4\uff0c\u7f3a\u4e4f\u53ef\u89c2\u666f\u7684\u4f11\u61a9\u8bbe\u65bd\u7b49\u95ee\u9898\u3002<\/p>\n

Dongdi Road Waterfront Project (Ninghai Section) covers a total area of about 30,000m\u00b2 , including the newly added section of about 13,000m\u00b2 and the improving section of about 17,000m\u00b2.<\/p>\n

The newly added section is located at the bridge approach part of the Dongweiyong Bridge, which is the first node that the vehicle drivers pass by after driving down the bridge. It is featured with unique location advantages and broad vision. The Huangyang Mountain at the west bank is visible from here, making the position of this project an urban observation platform.<\/p>\n

For the section to be improved, since it was constructed long ago, its design style is no longer in line with the modern city image of the new area. Meanwhile, the old area still faces a series of problems, such as low-quality landscape experience, disorderly greening space, and lack of facilities to take a rest, etc.<\/p>\n

The intersection part of the waterfront greenway and the urban green space connects the green space at the north side of the road, forming an uninterrupted green and open space<\/p>\n

It is surrounded by convenient traffic conditions, adjacent to a bus station, keeps close relation with the city, and attracts citizens to visit the waterfront green space.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, it is also a livelihood project and heart-winning project. The area around it will be the \u201ceconomic industrial belt\u201d of Doumen district in the future, playing a vital role in the tourism development of Doumen.<\/p>\n

Inspired by “mountain” and “wave”, the designer extracts the shape of wave and uses it as the design element of the park’s planning plane, meaning “mountains and rivers in Doumen” and echoing the idyllic landscape of Doumen. The designer embeds the natural ecological conditions into the prosperous urban life, making it the leading works in similar design cases.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u57ce\u5e02\u9633\u53f0\u201d\u4ee5\u6597\u95e8\u7684\u6e14\u4e61\u6587\u5316\u4e3a\u7075\u611f\uff0c\u63d0\u53d6\u6e14\u8239\u4f5c\u4e3a\u8bbe\u8ba1\u5143\u7d20\uff0c\u7528\u4e8e\u6865\u4f53\u7684\u5e73\u9762\u9020\u578b\u3002\u6574\u4f534.5\u7c73\u9ad8\uff0c\u4f3c\u8239\u8d77\u822a\u7684\u9020\u578b\uff0c\u65b0\u9896\u53c8\u5b9e\u7528\u3002<\/p>\n

The newly added section of the project is planned to be built into an iconic city balcony and three-dimensional urban landscape platform, making it a highlight of the region and a new development engine for the inner bay of the Huangyang River. Besides the city balcony, the newly added section is also designed with a lawn and a wooden wave slide to enrich the urban public space, providing a comfortable place for a variety of civic activities.<\/p>\n

It aims at create a three-dimensional city viewing platform which will be the highlight of the region. This section is located in the river bend area where two rivers converge. It has unique geological advantage and broad vision. The Huangyang Mountain on the west bank is visible from this natural viewing platform. The designer takes good use of the advantages of its location to build a three-dimensional urban landscape platform consisting of “city balcony”+ elevated walkway + viewing platform.<\/p>\n

The “City Balcony” is designed under the inspiration of the fishing village culture of Doumen. The fishing boat is extracted and used in the design of plane modeling of the bridge. The project is 4.5 meters high, and looks like a ship setting sail, which is novel and practical.<\/p>\n

During the Spring and Autumn Period, Guan Zhong wrote in his book Guanzi.Lizheng,”A country can be poor without green planting, but will become rich with green planting.\u201d Prosperous trees and fresh water are not only the source of human survival and reproduction, but also the home of animals, birds and beasts. Water and soil conservation is a course beneficial for mankind, and needs to be undertaken by all people in the city.<\/p>\n

Doumen District is located in the southwest end of the Pearl River Delta, west part of Zhuhai, consisting of low mountains, hills, platforms, plains and tidal flats. It has staggered and changing waterways. Due to the accumulation of natural and cultural history, the tourism resources in Doumen District include mountains, rivers, sea, island, spring, temple, culture, history and relics.<\/p>\n

However, the way of life is no doubtedly diverse. Different types of landform in Doumen create a unified ecological environment for “city balcony”. In ecological civilization, we can create the diversified life styles and pursue the richness of life content.
