Beijing Gaiascape Permaculture studio<\/strong><\/a>: The block is located in the second Shuang Yu Shu Street, Zhong Guan Cun, Hai Dian District, Beijing. Its overall width is 20 meters, length is 150 meters, covering an area of 3,000 square meters. It is only 275 meters away from Zhong Guan Cun Street, close to contemporary Shopping Mall and Yanshan Hotel. It is located at the junction of Zhong Guan Cun Street Four Way Bridge and within the planning scope of Zhong Guan Cun Science City International talent Community, with obvious location advantages.<\/p>\n

Zhong Guan Cun Street is located in the core area of Zhong Guan Cun Science City. There are many scientific research institutes and high-tech enterprises in the area under its jurisdiction. It is one of the regions with the most intensive scientific, educational and intellectual resources and high-tech enterprises in the world. In order to create a cultural atmosphere of international talent community, Zhong Guan Cun Street implemented the project, which aims to build a new urban form suitable for living and working, as well as a new street with vitality and openness.<\/p>\n

The current situation of the site is a low-quality pedestrian space, surrounded by large commercial contemporary mall, Yanshan Hotel, China International Talent Development Center and other service facilities, but lack of high-quality public communication space. According to the data, high-quality communication space is the basis for the development of talent community, and Zhong Guan Cun public enjoyment block can provide a good living environment for talent innovation, so that urban space can replace the park and become a new source of innovation.<\/p>\n

The whole site, through a luminous runway, is connected with the three core values of interaction, experience and communication, and is connected with 10 functional islands, which are plant science garden, mirror lounge, small stage, children’s terrain recreation area, fun pipeline recreation area and badminton court. Combined with the advantages of the site, the ground adds the achievements of science and humanity of Zhong Guan Cun inscribed with a stone slab. In terms of plants, the original two rows of pentagonal maple trees on the site were retained, and the flower beds on the ground were changed into rain gardens for the natural collection of surface rainwater.<\/p>\n

The art fence at the entrance is designed as two opposite palms, representing the integrated development of science and humanity, reflecting the design theme of “contact”. It is not only the gate of the car, to meet the daily flow limit and emergency opening needs, but also an art sculpture.<\/p>\n

Plant science garden (including herb garden, medicinal garden, drought-tolerant plant garden, Sunny plant garden) provides a place for Shuang yu Primary School to learn horticultural knowledge and skills. It is managed and maintained by the teachers and students of Shuang yu Primary School. In spring, teachers will lead students to popularize natural knowledge, plant cognition, experience agricultural farming and other practical activities, and set up popular science display boards to introduce plant knowledge. Combined with the history of Zhong Guan Cun, 40 important historical events or scientific achievements of Zhong Guan Cun are recorded on the ground in the way of stone carving, which are arranged from north to south according to the time line, such as: “In 1966, China’s first nuclear missile test was successful”, “in 2003, China’s first manned space flight was successful”, etc.<\/p>\n
