\u00a0IAAC<\/strong><\/a>: The Forest Lab for Observational Research and Analysis (FLORA) is a mass timber structure located in Valldaura, situated in the central forest of the metropolitan area of Barcelona, the Collserola Natural Park. Measuring over 8,5 metres in height, the master’s project was built from invasive pine trees sourced within the park through rigorous sustainable forest management and traceability procedures. Seventy trees were cut and processed by the master students to create cross laminated timber panels, laminated beams, and solid wood elements. FLORA will be used to house a researcher for a short period of time who will be studying the biodiversity of the park and utilizing FLORA\u2019s new weather station.<\/p>\n

Collserola\u81ea\u7136\u516c\u56ed\u88ab\u8ba4\u4e3a\u662f\u5df4\u585e\u7f57\u90a3\u5927\u90fd\u4f1a\u533a\u6700\u5e7f\u9614\u7684\u7eff\u5730\u4e4b\u4e00\uff0c\u5176\u5360\u5730\u9762\u79ef\u8d85\u8fc78000\u516c\u9877\uff0c\u516c\u56ed\u5185\u7684\u6700\u9ad8\u5cf0\uff08Tibidabo\uff09\u6d77\u62d4\u9ad8\u8fbe512\u7c73\u3002\u8fd9\u91cc\u65e2\u662f\u4e00\u4e2a\u81ea\u7136\u533a\u57df\uff0c\u4e5f\u662f\u5df4\u585e\u7f57\u90a3\u548c\u90bb\u8fd1\u57ce\u5e02\u5c45\u6c11\u7684\u5ea6\u5047\u80dc\u5730\u3002\u8be5\u533a\u57df\u5185\u7684\u4e00\u7247\u963f\u52d2\u9887\u677e\u6797\uff08Pinus halepensis\uff09\u4e2d\u5305\u542b1000\u79cd\u4e0d\u540c\u7684\u690d\u7269\u4ee5\u53ca\u591a\u8fbe10\u4ebf\u68f5\u6811\u6728\uff0c\u4e3a190\u79cd\u4e0d\u540c\u7c7b\u578b\u7684\u810a\u690e\u52a8\u7269\u521b\u9020\u4e86\u6816\u606f\u4e4b\u5730\u3002<\/p>\n

\u6b63\u662f\u5728\u5982\u6b64\u5f97\u5929\u72ec\u539a\u7684\u73af\u5883\u4e2d\uff0cIAAC\u7684\u7855\u58eb\u56e2\u961f\u5efa\u9020\u4e86\u9996\u5ea7\u80fd\u591f\u4fef\u77b0\u68ee\u6797\u7684\u4eba\u9020\u5efa\u7b51 \u2014\u2014 \u68ee\u6797\u89c2\u6d4b\u7814\u7a76\u4e0e\u5206\u6790\u5b9e\u9a8c\u5ba4\uff08FLORA\uff09\u3002<\/p>\n

Considered to be the most extensive green space in the metropolitan area of Barcelona, and covering over 8,000 hectares (seventeen kilometres long and six kilometres wide) with its highest peak at 512 metres (Tibidabo), Parc de Collserola is a natural area and getaway for both of those living in Barcelona and neighbouring cities. Located in a mountain range and nearby the sea, it houses 190 different types of vertebrates, Aleppo pine (Pinus halepensis) forests, and has an estimated population of 1,000 different species of plants and 10,000 million total trees.<\/p>\n

It is in this environmental surrounding where IAAC master’s students have built the first building that allows for the observation of the forest canopy: FLORA.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u96f6\u516c\u91cc\u201d\u7684\u6750\u6599\uff0c\u5c31\u5730\u53d6\u6750 Zero-kilometre materials<\/strong>
\n\u4e3a\u4e86\u66f4\u597d\u5730\u5c06\u5efa\u7b51\u878d\u5165\u73af\u5883\uff0c\u56e2\u961f\u6210\u5458\u8fdb\u884c\u4e86\u4e00\u7cfb\u5217\u6df1\u5165\u7684\u7814\u7a76\uff0c\u5206\u6790\u4e86\u68ee\u6797\u4e2d\u7684\u751f\u7269\u591a\u6837\u6027\uff0c\u5e76\u603b\u7ed3\u4e86\u4ece\u5730\u4e0b\u3001\u5730\u4e0a\u3001\u6811\u51a0<\/span>\u548c\u5929\u7a7a\u5404\u4e2a\u5c42\u6b21\u7684\u52a8\u690d\u7269\u3002\u8fd9\u9879\u7814\u7a76\u4e3a\u5b66\u751f\u4eec\u786e\u5b9a\u5efa\u7b51\u7269\u7684\u7ed3\u6784\u548c\u5c3a\u5bf8\u63d0\u4f9b\u4e86\u4f9d\u636e\uff0c\u66f4\u91cd\u8981\u7684\u662f\u786e\u5b9a\u4e86\u4ed6\u4eec\u80fd\u591f\u5728\u9879\u76ee\u4e2d\u5229\u7528\u7684\u6750\u6599\u3002<\/p>\n

The students of MAEBB carried out further research to analyse the biodiversity of the forest and identify various inhabitants from underground, aboveground, canopy, and sky levels. This research allowed them to discern the structures and dimensions necessary to develop the construction, and more importantly, the type of materials they could use.<\/p>\n

FLORA\u9879\u76ee\u59cb\u7ec8\u79c9\u627f\u7740\u201c\u96f6\u516c\u91cc\u201d\u7684\u7406\u5ff5\uff0c\u6728\u6750\u4f5c\u4e3a\u9879\u76ee\u7684\u4e3b\u8981\u5efa\u9020\u6750\u6599\uff0c\u80fd\u591f\u4ece\u5468\u56f4\u7684\u73af\u5883\u4e2d\u83b7\u5f97\uff0c\u907f\u514d\u4e86\u6750\u6599\u4f9b\u5e94\u8fc7\u7a0b\u4e2d\u7684\u80fd\u6e90\u6d88\u8017\u3002\u8fd9\u7247\u68ee\u6797\u7531\u5404\u79cd\u6811\u6728\u548c\u690d\u7269\u7ec4\u6210\uff0c\u9700\u8981\u8fdb\u884c\u53ef\u6301\u7eed\u7684\u7ba1\u7406\u884c\u52a8\uff0c\u4ee5\u4f7f\u68ee\u6797\u53ca\u5176\u6240\u627f\u8f7d\u7684\u751f\u7269\u591a\u6837\u6027\u5f97\u5230\u6709\u6548\u7684\u53d1\u5c55\u3002<\/p>\n

From its construction to its end use, the FLORA project is part of the \u2018zero-kilometre\u2019 philosophy. The primary building material is timber, obtained from the surroundings, without the need of a supply chain. The forest of the Parc de Collserola is formed by a wide variety of trees and plants that require sustainable management actions to allow the forest and the biodiversity it hosts to develop efficiently.<\/p>\n

\u4e3a\u4e86\u7ed9FLORA\u63d0\u4f9b\u5fc5\u8981\u7684\u5efa\u7b51\u6750\u6599\uff0c\u9879\u76ee\u6839\u636e\u53ef\u6301\u7eed\u68ee\u7ba1\u7406\u8ba1\u5212\u780d\u4f10\u4e8670\u68f5\u677e\u6811\uff0c\u4e4b\u540e\u5b66\u751f\u4eec\u5229\u7528Valldaura\u5b9e\u9a8c\u5ba4\u7684\u952f\u6728\u673a\u548c\u5c0f\u578bCLT\u538b\u529b\u673a\uff0c\u5c06\u91c7\u4f10\u7684\u677e\u6728\u52a0\u5de5\u6210\u4ea4\u53c9\u5c42\u538b\u6728\u6750(CLT)\u677f\u3001\u80f6\u5408\u6728\u6881\u548c\u5b9e\u6728\u677f\u7b49\u3002<\/p>\n

Seventy pine trees were felled to provide the necessary building material for FLORA. These trees were extracted and harvested in the Valldaura area based on the approved Sustainable Forest Management Plan in Collserola. The students processed the harvested pines to create cross-laminated timber (CLT) panels, glulam beams, and solid wood using the sawmill and small CLT press available at Valldaura Labs.<\/p>\n

\u7531\u4ea4\u53c9\u5c42\u538b\u6728\u6750\u677f\u642d\u5efa\u800c\u6210\u7684\u6838\u5fc3\u7ed3\u6784\u5750\u843d\u4e8e\u56db\u683930 x 30\u5398\u7c73\u7684\u80f6\u5408\u6728\u67f1\u4e0a\u3002\u8fdb\u5165\u89c2\u5bdf\u70b9\u7684\u6865\u6881\u5219\u7531\u5b66\u751f\u4eec\u81ea\u5236\u7684\u80f6\u5408\u677f\u5236\u6210\uff0c\u5176\u4e2d\u6700\u957f\u7684\u6865\u6881\u8de8\u5ea6\u7ea6\u4e3a12\u7c73\u3002\u5404\u4e2a\u90e8\u4ef6\u5747\u4e3a\u5355\u72ec\u5236\u9020\uff0c\u7136\u540e\u5229\u7528\u8d77\u91cd\u673a\u4ee5\u9ad8\u5ea6\u590d\u6742\u7684\u5b89\u88c5\u987a\u5e8f\u8fdb\u884c\u7ec4\u88c5\u3002\u7531CLT\u6784\u6210\u7684\u6838\u5fc3\u7ed3\u6784\u8868\u9762\u7531\u4e24\u5c42\u5929\u7136\u8f6f\u6728\u677f\u4fdd\u62a4\uff0c\u53ef\u4ee5\u8d77\u5230\u9694\u70ed\u548c\u9694\u97f3\u7684\u4f5c\u7528\u3002<\/p>\n

The CLT core rests on four glulam timber columns of 30 x 30 cm. The bridges are made from homemade glue laminated timber; the longest of which spans approximately 12 metres. These components were all individually made and then assembled using a crane in a highly intricate installation sequence. The CLT structure is protected by two layers of natural cork panels providing thermal and acoustic insulation.<\/p>\n
