\u54c8\u5c14\u6ee8\u5de5\u4e1a\u5927\u5b66\uff08\u6df1\u5733\uff09\u5efa\u7b51\u5b66\u9662\u516c\u5171\u7a7a\u95f4\u5b9e\u9a8c\u5ba4\u81f4\u529b\u4e8e\u5173\u6ce8\u57ce\u5e02\u548c\u793e\u4f1a\u95ee\u9898\uff0c\u521b\u65b0\u63a2\u7d22\u8bbe\u8ba1\u7684\u53ef\u80fd\u6027\u3002\u5728\u57ce\u5e02\u5feb\u901f\u66f4\u65b0\u7684\u80cc\u666f\u4e0b\uff0c\u5efa\u7b51\u548c\u7eff\u5316\u5e9f\u5f03\u7269\u5360\u636e\u7a7a\u95f4\u591a\u3001\u5904\u7406\u6210\u672c\u5927\u7684\u95ee\u9898\u65e5\u76ca\u51f8\u663e\u3002\u56e2\u961f\u901a\u8fc7\u9cb8\u5c71\u82b1\u56ed\u8bb2\u8ff0\u4e86\u4e00\u6bb5\u201c\u5e9f\u5f03\u7269\u91cd\u83b7\u65b0\u751f\u201d\u7684\u6545\u4e8b\uff0c\u540c\u65f6\u4e5f\u662f\u901a\u8fc7\u8bbe\u8ba1\u56de\u5e94\u793e\u4f1a\u95ee\u9898\u3001\u5bfb\u6c42\u66f4\u5927\u793e\u4f1a\u6548\u76ca\u7684\u4e00\u6b21\u5b9e\u8df5\u3002<\/p>\n

Public Space Lab, School of Architecture, Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen<\/strong><\/a>: Jingshan Villa co-build garden was carried out under the \u201c2022 Nanshan Co-build Gardens Program\u201d organized by Nanshan <\/span>Urban Management And Law Enforcement Bureau, guided by Shenzhen Urban Management And Law Enforcement Bureau, <\/span>and Shenzhen Administration Center of Parks. The project was completed by Public Space Lab, School of Architecture, <\/span>Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen, Shekou Community Foundation and other co-organization units.<\/span><\/p>\n

Public Space Lab, School of Architecture, Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen is dedicated to focusing on urban and social issues and innovatively exploring the possibilities of design. In the context of rapid urban renewal, the problem of construction and greenery waste occupying much space and costing a lot to dispose of is becoming increasingly serious. Through the Jingshan Garden, the team tells a story of “rejuvenation of waste”, which is also a practice of responding to social issues and seeking greater social benefits through design.<\/p>\n

\u9cb8\u5c71\u793e\u533a\u4f4d\u4e8e\u5357\u5c71\u533a\u86c7\u53e3\u7247\u533a\uff0c\u5730\u5904\u5927\u5357\u5c71\u5c71\u9e93\uff1b\u793e\u533a\u5efa\u4e8e\u4e0a\u4e16\u7eaa80\u5e74\u4ee3\uff0c\u662f\u6df1\u5733\u5e02\u6700\u65e9\u7684\u522b\u5885\u793e\u533a\uff0c\u73b0\u6b63\u5904\u4e8e\u4eba\u884c\u9053\u7ffb\u65b0\u3001\u623f\u5c4b\u6574\u4fee\u7684\u66f4\u65b0\u5efa\u8bbe\u9636\u6bb5\uff0c\u4ea7\u751f\u4e86\u5927\u91cf\u5efa\u7b51\u5783\u573e\uff1b\u793e\u533a\u81ea\u7136\u8d44\u6e90\u4e30\u5bcc\uff0c\u6709\u201c\u90fd\u5e02\u4e2d\u7684\u81ea\u7136\u535a\u7269\u9986\u201d\u4e4b\u79f0\uff0c\u4f46\u4e3a\u9884\u9632\u53f0\u98ce\u707e\u5bb3\uff0c\u9700\u5b9a\u671f\u4fee\u526a\u6811\u6728\uff0c\u81ea\u7136\u4ee3\u8c22\u8fc7\u7a0b\u4e2d\u4ea7\u751f\u4e86\u8bb8\u591a\u7eff\u5316\u5e9f\u5f03\u7269\u3002\u8fd9\u4e9b\u5e9f\u5f03\u7269\u5904\u7406\u590d\u6742\u3001\u82b1\u8d39\u8f83\u5927\uff0c\u6210\u4e3a\u793e\u533a\u4e9f\u5f85\u89e3\u51b3\u7684\u95ee\u9898\u3002<\/p>\n

Jingshan Villa is located in Shekou District, Nanshan District, at the foot of the Nanshan Mountain; the community was built in the 1980s and is the earliest villa community in Shenzhen. The community is now in the renovation stage of sidewalk renovation and housing renovation, generating a large amount of construction waste; moreover, in order to prevent typhoon disasters, trees need to be pruned regularly, and the natural metabolic process generates a lot of greening waste. These wastes are complicated and costly to dispose of, and have become an urgent problem for the community.<\/p>\n

\u82b1\u56ed\u9009\u5740\u4e8e\u793e\u533a\u5185\u897f\u5317\u89d2\uff0c\u662f\u7d27\u90bb\u9053\u8def\u4ea4\u53c9\u53e3\u7684\u4e00\u5904\u904d\u5e03\u8352\u8349\u7684\u53f0\u5730\u3002\u6211\u4eec\u5728\u8c03\u7814\u8fc7\u7a0b\u4e2d\u79ef\u6781\u56de\u6536\u4e86\u8fd1\u4e07\u5757\u53ef\u5faa\u73af\u5229\u7528\u7684\u4eba\u884c\u9053\u5e9f\u65e7\u900f\u6c34\u7ea2\u7816\uff0c\u4ee5\u53ca\u5806\u653e\u5728\u573a\u5730\u5468\u8fb9\u5783\u573e\u623f\u548c\u573a\u5730\u5185\u90e8\u7684\u67af\u6728\uff0c\u5e0c\u671b\u901a\u8fc7\u201c\u81ea\u7136\u5faa\u73af\u201d\u7406\u5ff5\u5b9e\u73b0\u201c\uff08-1\uff09X\uff08-1\uff09=1\u201d\u7684\u8bbe\u8ba1\u76ee\u6807\uff0c\u5728\u5faa\u73af\u56de\u6536\u5229\u7528\u57ce\u5e02\u5e9f\u5f03\u7269\u7684\u540c\u65f6\uff0c\u5c06\u793e\u533a\u5185\u7684\u8352\u829c\u4e00\u9685\u8f6c\u5316\u4e3a\u627f\u8f7d\u793e\u533a\u8bb0\u5fc6\u3001\u4fc3\u8fdb\u793e\u533a\u878d\u5408\u7684\u573a\u6240\u3002<\/p>\n

The garden is located in the northwest corner of the community, on a grassy terrace adjacent to a road intersection. During the research process, we actively collected nearly 10,000 pieces of recyclable sidewalk waste permeable red bricks, as well as dead wood piled up in the garbage room around the site and inside the site. We hope to achieve the design goal of “(-1) X (-1) = 1” through the concept of “flow of nature”, and to transform a barren part of the community into a place that carries community memories and promotes community integration while recycling urban waste.<\/p>\n

\u53c2\u4e0e\u5f0f\u8c03\u7814 Participatory Research<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u79c9\u6301\u5171\u5efa\u82b1\u56ed\u201c\u5171\u5546\u3001\u5171\u5efa\u3001\u5171\u6cbb\u3001\u5171\u4eab\u201d\u7684\u7406\u5ff5\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u9080\u8bf7\u4e86\u591a\u65b9\u56e2\u961f\u53c2\u4e0e\u8c03\u7814\u3001\u8bbe\u8ba1\u3001\u5efa\u9020\u5168\u6d41\u7a0b\u3002<\/p>\n

Based on the concept of “discuss together, co-building, co-governmence and sharing”, we invited multiple teams to participate in the whole process of research, design and construction of the garden.<\/p>\n

\u6211\u4eec\u901a\u8fc7\u751f\u6001\u672c\u5e95\u8c03\u7814\u5f3a\u5316\u4e86\u5bf9\u573a\u5730\u539f\u6709\u751f\u5883\u7684\u8ba4\u77e5\uff0c\u533a\u5206\u672c\u571f\u690d\u7269\u548c\u5165\u4fb5\u690d\u7269\uff0c\u4e86\u89e3\u539f\u6709\u52a8\u690d\u7269\u7684\u751f\u6001\u7cfb\u7edf\uff0c\u91cd\u65b0\u601d\u8003\u81ea\u7136\u8d44\u6e90\u7684\u4fdd\u80b2\u4e0e\u4f18\u5316\u7b56\u7565\u3002<\/p>\n

We strengthened our knowledge of the original habitat of the site through ecological background research. We distinguished between native and invasive plants, understood the ecosystem of the original flora and fauna, and rethought the conservation and optimization strategy of natural resources.<\/p>\n

\u5c45\u6c11\u4e0e\u7269\u4e1a\u63d0\u51fa\u9700\u8981\u4ee5\u6709\u9650\u6210\u672c\u5efa\u8bbe\u4f4e\u517b\u62a4\u9ad8\u54c1\u8d28\u82b1\u56ed\uff0c\u5e76\u4e14\u6ee1\u8db3\u201c\u81ea\u7136\u3001\u4ea4\u5f80\u3001\u4f11\u61a9\u3001\u6559\u80b2\u3001\u5168\u9f84\u3001\u5b89\u9759\u201d\u7684\u8bc9\u6c42\u3002\u5728\u5ea7\u8c08\u4f1a\u4e2d\uff0c\u68b3\u7406\u51fa\u53ef\u5faa\u73af\u518d\u751f\u7684\u73b0\u6709\u793e\u533a\u8d44\u6e90\uff1a\u88ab\u62c6\u9664\u7684\u5e9f\u65e7\u4eba\u884c\u9053\u7ea2\u7816\u3001\u6811\u6728\u4fee\u526a\u540e\u5806\u653e\u7684\u67af\u6728\u3001\u8def\u8fb9\u5e9f\u5f03\u7684\u7f6e\u77f3\u3001\u53ef\u56de\u6536\u79fb\u683d\u7684\u690d\u7269\u3002<\/p>\n

Residents and managers raised the need to build low-maintenance, high-quality gardens at limited cost, and to meet the demands of “nature, interaction, leisure, education, all ages, and quiet”. During the symposium, existing community resources that can be recycled were identified: the red bricks of the demolished sidewalks, the dead wood piled up after tree pruning, the abandoned stones on the roadside, and the plants that can be recycled and transplanted.<\/p>\n

Through participatory research, we concluded three main issues:<\/p>\n

1\u3001Waste disposal problem: How to make full use of the waste red bricks and green waste in the community with limited cost?
\n2. Native environment of the site problem: How to protect the ecology and activate the wasteland?
\n3. Social interaction problem: How to balance the conflict between neighborhood avoidance and social interaction, and design active public spaces that carry reasonable social activities?<\/p>\n

\u57fa\u4e8e\u8c03\u7814\u6210\u679c\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u5145\u5206\u5229\u7528\u9ad8\u6821\u6559\u80b2\u8d44\u6e90\u3001\u53d1\u6325\u4e13\u4e1a\u4f18\u52bf\uff0c\u7ec4\u5efa\u5e08\u751f\u5fd7\u613f\u56e2\u961f\u53c2\u4e0e\u8bbe\u8ba1\u3002\u81ea\u6691\u671f\u5f00\u59cb\uff0c\u7ec4\u7ec7\u591a\u6b21\u8bbe\u8ba1\u5de5\u4f5c\u574a\uff0c\u9080\u8bf7\u76f8\u5173\u9886\u57df\u7684\u4e13\u5bb6\u5f00\u5c55\u8bb2\u5ea7\u4ea4\u6d41\u4e0e\u65b9\u6848\u6307\u5bfc\uff0c\u8fdb\u884c\u591a\u65b9\u6848\u6bd4\u5bf9\u4e0e\u8bc4\u9009\u3001\u6a21\u578b\u63a8\u6572\u4e0e\u5c0f\u7ec4\u8ba8\u8bba\u7b49\u8bbe\u8ba1\u6d41\u7a0b\uff0c\u786e\u5b9a\u4e86\u201c\uff08-1\uff09X\uff08-1\uff09=1\u201d\u7684\u8bbe\u8ba1\u76ee\u6807\uff0c\u5373\u901a\u8fc7\u8bbe\u8ba1\u5c06\u6d88\u6781\u7684\u5e9f\u5f03\u7269\u4e0e\u8352\u5730\u8f6c\u5316\u4e3a\u79ef\u6781\u7684\u666f\u89c2\u573a\u6240\uff0c\u5e76\u63d0\u51fa\u4e09\u5927\u8bbe\u8ba1\u7b56\u7565\uff1a<\/p>\n

1\u3001\u4fc3\u8fdb\u672c\u5730\u8d44\u6e90\u5faa\u73af\u4e0e\u4eba\u6587\u79ef\u6dc0\u7684\u4f4e\u6210\u672c\u573a\u6240\u8bbe\u8ba1<\/strong>\u2014\u2014\u56de\u6536\u5229\u7528\u793e\u533a\u4eba\u884c\u9053\u7684\u65e7\u900f\u6c34\u7ea2\u7816\u3001\u67af\u6728\u7b49\u5e9f\u5f03\u7269\u6750\u6599\u9020\u666f\uff0c\u8282\u7ea6\u6210\u672c\u7684\u540c\u65f6\uff0c\u4f20\u64ad\u8d44\u6e90\u5faa\u73af\u5229\u7528\u7406\u5ff5\uff0c\u5f3a\u5316\u9cb8\u5c71\u4eba\u6587\u79ef\u6dc0\uff1b
\n2\u3001\u7ef4\u62a4\u539f\u751f\u81ea\u7136\u8d44\u6e90\uff0c\u8425\u9020\u4eb2\u81ea\u7136\u7684\u82b1\u56ed\u751f\u5883\u7a7a\u95f4<\/strong>\u2014\u2014\u4fdd\u62a4\u672c\u571f\u52a8\u690d\u7269\uff0c\u53bb\u9664\u5165\u4fb5\u690d\u7269\uff0c\u4f18\u5316\u751f\u5883\u6761\u4ef6\uff0c\u5b9e\u73b0\u4f4e\u5f71\u54cd\u5f00\u53d1\u5efa\u8bbe\uff1b
\n3\u3001\u8425\u9020\u5c06\u513f\u7ae5\u4f5c\u4e3a\u793e\u4ea4\u89e6\u5a92\u7684\u793e\u533a\u81ea\u7136\u5b66\u4e60\u573a\u6240<\/strong>\u2014\u2014\u63a8\u52a8\u513f\u7ae5\u53cb\u597d\u7684\u690d\u7269\u914d\u7f6e\u3001\u89c1\u5b66\u5730\u666f\u8bbe\u8ba1\u3001\u6728\u5de5\u574a\u690d\u5165\uff0c\u4ee5\u81ea\u7136\u5b66\u4e60\u4e3a\u4e3b\u9898\uff0c\u4fdd\u6301\u6d3b\u52a8\u573a\u6240\u7684\u5b81\u9759\u3002<\/p>\n

Based on research results, we made full use of the educational resources of university and our professional advantages to form volunteer teams of teachers and students to participate in the design. Since the summer, we have organized several design workshops, invited experts to give lectures and guidance, conducted multiple proposal comparison and selection, modeling and group discussion, and other design processes. We determined the design goal of “(-1) X (-1) = 1”, that is, to transform negative waste and wilderness into positive landscape place through design, and proposed three major design strategies:<\/p>\n

1. Low-cost place design that promotes local resource recycling and humanistic accumulation: recycling old permeable red bricks from community sidewalks, dead wood and other waste materials to create a landscape, which can reduce costs, spread the concept of resource recycling, and strengthen the humanistic accumulation of Jingshan.
\n2. Maintain native natural resources and create pro-natural garden habitat space: protect native plants and animals, remove invasive plants, optimize habitat conditions, and realize low-impact development and construction.
\n3. Create community nature learning places that use children as social catalyst: promote child-friendly plant configurations, learning landscape, and woodworking workshop implantation to maintain the tranquility of the activity place with natural learning as the theme.<\/p>\n

Based on the design strategy, we proposed the design concept of “flow of nature”. On the one hand, we make it the framework of landscape shaping, and the garden reflects the process of natural cycle from north to south – the north has excellent sunlight as the growing landscape; the central part reflects the concept of withering with dead wood landscape; the south preserves the existing vegetation to show the sense of regeneration with original ecology. On the other hand, we have recycled the waste materials in the community and implanted three levels of connotation, which include spreading the concept of resource recycling, creating natural learning scenes and highlighting the humanistic heritage of Whale Mountain.<\/p>\n

With the theme of “flow of nature”, the landscape flow is organized and nodes are designed by using such techniques as pair view, partition view, borrowed view and barrier view to guide the rhythm of walking, stopping and staying during the tour.<\/p>\n

In accordance with the characteristics of the long crescent-shaped base, the landscape nodes set up at the north entrance with barrier-free ramps, attracting people to enter. From the flower path to the central deadwood garden, a variety of plants and deadwood shaped landscape nodes to attract visitors to stop and watch, red brick sitting benches in the deadwood garden to provide rest space, continue along the flower path can reach the central red brick wall.<\/p>\n

Visitors can also enter the garden by the staircase with the flower pond as the entrance to the landscape, connecting the internal and external height difference. And then pace up to the entrance platform to rest and play at the woodworking workshop. Or continue southward to the original ecological viewing area at the end, where they can sit, watch and meditate surrounded by native plants.<\/p>\n

The plasticity of red bricks is fully exploited, using 10,000 pieces of used red bricks and some new red bricks to create the atmosphere of the place, paving them as pavers, flower pools, flooring and scenic walls, as well as seats with different heights to adapt to the scale of the human body of different ages, together enclosing the site, deepening the characteristics of the project and conveying the design concept.<\/p>\n

In the process of flooring, the combination of red bricks is changed to adapt to different functions of the site – to guide the visitors by laying bricks together, to emphasize the site by interspersing different color bricks diagonally, and to create a sense of ritual for the site by combining basket weave and herringbone paving. In the masonry of the scenic wall, rhythm is formed by using hollowing, rotating and interspersing techniques. The design details of interspersed old and new red bricks in the flower pond can inherit the memory of Jingshan and create cultural symbols.<\/p>\n

A low cost, low intervention, low maintenance neo-naturalistic habitat shaping approach was adopted. The ecological substrate of the site is respected and supplemented with nectar plants to ensure that Jingshan Garden remains a beautiful home for plants and animals. The plants are inserted to respond to the residents’ needs to get closer to nature and learn about nature with color, form and habit, creating a more pleasant and restful habitat landscape and awakening the forgotten wilderness habitat.<\/p>\n

As a product of natural metabolism, we hope to present it naturally, combining it with the ornamental landscape and the original landscape through staggered placement to show the different life cycle of plants and convey the concept of ” flow with nature ” of Jingshan Garden to visitors.<\/p>\n

The recycled red bricks have served the community sidewalks for many years and are the “historical witnesses” of Jingshan Villa. We collected natural materials such as dead branches, pine cones and discarded stones from the community, and worked with residents and volunteers to create a learning sign introducing the garden’s flora and fauna, and painted the “Jingshan Garden” on the stones with artistic graffiti. These small scattered works of design are part of the garden landscape, witnessing, recording and telling the long and vibrant story of Jingshan.<\/p>\n

The design process of Jingshan Garden is long, not only in terms of drawings and site design, but also in terms of gathering social consensus, gathering multiple resources, and promoting local practice. We responded to the site issues by relying on “co-consultation”, determined the design strategy with waste recycling as the core, guided the “co-construction” action through spatial design, and enhanced the spatial effect, and expected the garden to activate the community “co-rule” and realize the “sharing” of space. We expect the garden to activate community “shared governance” and realize space “sharing”.<\/p>\n

We recently made a return visit to the Jingshan Garden and were pleased to receive positive comments from local residents: “I like to bring my children here, not only to learn about nature, but also to learn about the history of Jingshan”, “It is very comfortable and beautiful, I like it here. I like it here.” The property also organized the activity of “making a nature science wall together”.
