LaGuardia Design Group\uff1a<\/strong><\/a>The site of a former nursery, the Butter Lane Residence is undeniably linked to its historical context; both visually and physically. The residence is perched high above remnants of the former nursery; afforded breathtaking views of the now mature trees that were planted 20 years ago. Taking inspiration from this connection, a custom rim flow pool was designed on axis with the nursery rows, extending views to the borrowed landscape beyond. A custom ipe arbor sits on a stone plinth above the pool terrace, providing spaces for dining and socializing. A variety of gardens were created throughout the property, relying heavily on plant material found within the nursery. All\u00e8es of Yoshino Cherry, Fastigiate Beech and London Plane Tree were used to define outdoor spaces, while also serving as reference to the properties history. Flowering borders of Russian Sage, Fountain Grass and Hydrangeas tie everything together with seasonal displays of color.<\/p>\n

\n\u8be5\u9879\u76ee\u573a\u5730\u4e0e\u4e00\u4e2a10\u82f1\u4ea9\u7684\u524d\u5de5\u4f5c\u82d7\u5703\u7684\u6b8b\u4f59\u90e8\u5206\u76f8\u8fde\u3002\u4e3a\u4e86\u51cf\u5c11\u4ece\u504f\u8fdc\u5730\u533a\u91c7\u8d2d\u690d\u7269\u6750\u6599\u5bf9\u73af\u5883\u7684\u5f71\u54cd\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u9009\u62e9\u5229\u7528\u73b0\u6709\u7684\u82d7\u6728\u6765\u6267\u884c\u63d0\u8bae\u7684\u9879\u76ee\u8bbe\u8ba1\u3002\u901a\u8fc7\u79fb\u690d\u82d7\u5703\u91cc\u7684\u6750\u6599\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u80fd\u591f\u5728\u8be5\u65e7\u5740\u7684\u4f7f\u7528\u548c\u5b83\u76ee\u524d\u7684\u5c45\u4f4f\u72b6\u6001\u4e4b\u95f4\u5efa\u7acb\u8054\u7cfb\u3002<\/p>\n

Special Factors
\nThe project site is tied to a 10-acre remnant of a former working nursery. Wanting to reduce the environmental impact of sourcing plant material from remote locations, we chose to utilize the existing nursery stock to execute the proposed project design.\u00a0By transplanting material from the nursery, we were able to create a connection between the former use of the site and its current state as a residence.<\/p>\n
