UP+S<\/strong><\/a>\uff1aWith urbanization, cities are swallowing up the countryside and driving out nature. Children who grow up in cities have an increasingly significant sense of alienation from nature, which is not only physical distance, but also psychological distance.<\/p>\n

As a Sustainable Space Builder , we want to create some interesting fields that make nature and children closer.<\/p>\n

In April 2023, the UP Nature Park constructed by UP+S was officially opened in Longtan Middle Lake Park within Beijing’s second ring road. Beijing Longtan Middle Lake Park , the former Beijing Amusement Park, which was repaired and upgraded in 2010 after eight years out-of-business.<\/p>\n

\u5728\u513f\u7ae5\u53cb\u597d\u548c\u78b3\u4e2d\u548c\u7b49\u653f\u7b56\u80cc\u666f\u4e0b\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u63d0\u51fa\u5efa\u8bbe\u9762\u5411\u513f\u7ae5\u7684\u4eb2\u81ea\u7136\u4e50\u56ed\u7684\u8bbe\u8ba1\u613f\u666f\u3002\u6211\u4eec\u5145\u5206\u5229\u7528\u539f\u751f\u81ea\u7136\u73af\u5883\uff0c\u4fdd\u7559\u539f\u573a\u5730\u5185\u52a8\u690d\u7269\u8d44\u6e90\uff0c\u4fdd\u62a4\u751f\u6001\u591a\u6837\u6027\uff0c\u7ef4\u6301\u57fa\u5730\u751f\u6001\u5e73\u8861\uff0c\u521b\u9020\u513f\u7ae5\u4e0e\u81ea\u7136\u4eb2\u5bc6\u63a5\u89e6\u7684\u73af\u5883\u3002<\/p>\n

In the context of child-friendly and carbon neutral policies, we propose the design vision of a child-friendly paradise. We make full use of the original natural environment, retain the original site of plant and animal resources, protect the ecological diversity, maintain the ecological balance of the base, and create an environment for children to have close contact with nature.<\/p>\n

\u8da3\u5473\u4e92\u52a8\uff1a\u81ea\u7136\u4e92\u52a8\uff0c\u73a9\u6c34\u3001\u73a9\u6c99\u3001\u73a9\u6ce5\u5df4\uff0c\u89c2\u690d\u7269\u53d8\u5316\uff1b\u8e29\u843d\u53f6\u3001\u8e29\u677e\u9488\u3001\u89c2\u677e\u679c\uff0c\u770b\u56db\u65f6\u98ce\u666f\uff1b\u9493\u9c7c\u3001\u6293\u6ce5\u9cc5\u3001\u89c2\u9e1f\uff0c\u4e0e\u5c0f\u52a8\u7269\u73a9\u800d\u3002

\u771f\u5b9e\u7f8e\u5b66\uff1a\u4ee5\u8d28\u6734\u7b80\u6d01\u4e3a\u7f8e\uff0c\u4fdd\u6301\u8bbe\u65bd\u6750\u6599\u7684\u771f\u5b9e\u72b6\u6001\u3002\u968f\u56db\u5b63\u53d8\u5316\u666f\u89c2\uff0c\u4f53\u73b0\u690d\u7269\u7684\u5065\u5eb7\u81ea\u7136\u4e4b\u7f8e\u3002<\/p>\n

\u53ef\u6301\u7eed\u6027\uff1a\u4f4e\u7ef4\u62a4\u3001\u4f4e\u6295\u5165\u3001\u4f4e\u5f71\u54cd\u5f00\u53d1\u3002\u8ffd\u6c42\u751f\u6001\u5065\u5eb7\u3001\u52a9\u529b\u4f4e\u78b3\u8282\u80fd\u3002<\/p>\n

\u4e50\u56ed\u4e3a3-12\u5c81\u5c11\u5e74\u513f\u7ae5\u63d0\u4f9b\u611f\u7edf\u8bad\u7ec3\u3001\u827a\u672f\u7f8e\u80b2\u3001\u81ea\u7136\u6559\u80b2\u3001\u4eb2\u5b50\u4e92\u52a8\u7b49\u591a\u5143\u573a\u57df\uff0c\u7ed3\u5408\u201c\u91d1\u6728\u6c34\u706b\u571f\u201d\u4e3b\u9898IP\uff0c\u4e32\u8054\u7ebf\u4e0a\u7ebf\u4e0b\u6559\u80b2\u5e73\u53f0\uff0c\u591a\u4f4d\u4e00\u4f53\uff0c\u6253\u9020\u5bd3\u6559\u4e8e\u4e50\u7684\u4eb2\u81ea\u7136\u5b66\u5802\uff0c\u6cbb\u6108\u57ce\u5e02\u5b69\u5b50\u7684\u81ea\u7136\u7f3a\u5931\u75c7\uff0c\u4fc3\u8fdb\u9752\u5c11\u5e74\u7684\u5065\u5eb7\u6210\u957f\u3002<\/p>\n

When upgrading the original site of the UP Nature Park, we based on the principle of not cutting down any tree, and retained the original trees Ginkgo biloba, Sophora japonica, Pinus tabulaefor and Platycladus orientalis of the site, combined with the site conditions, then designed and built the UP Nature Park.Five design principles based on the dual perspective of space and children have been proposed in the design:<\/p>\n

Law of Nature\uff1aThe design respects regional characteristics and culture, make full use of the park’s natural resources and preserve every tree in the native site; Minimal interference with nature has been exerted with less artificial traces and utilize the natural materials and elements to create a habitat for plants and animals and meanwhile a playground for children.<\/p>\n

Safety and Practicality\uff1aActivity equipment and safety hazards site detail has been excluded. With consideration of children\u2019s need for diversity, the design enables the children to experience pure enjoyment.
\nAmusing Interaction\uff1aNatural interaction: playing with water, sand, mud, and observing plant changes; Stepping on fallen leaves, pine needles, observing pinecones, and enjoying the scenery of four seasons; Fishing, loaches catching, birds watching, and interaction with small animals.
\nSocial entertainment: family time with parents, gaming with fellow friends, and natural science education classes
\nRealistic Aesthetics\uff1aTo take rusticity and simplicity as beauty, so as to maintain the facility materials\u2019 true state. To have the landscape change with the seasons, so as to reflect the healthy and natural beauty of the plants.
\nSustainability\uff1aThe design encourages low maintenance, low investment, and low impact development. It is our goal to achieve ecological health and to promote low-carbon energy conservation.<\/p>\n

The park offers diverse fields such as sensory training, artistic and aesthetic education, natural education, and parent-child interaction for children aged 3-12. By combining the theme IP of “Golden, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth”, and connecting online and offline education platforms, we create a pro-nature school that integrates education with entertainment. It will bring nature back to urban children, and promote the healthy growth for the youth.<\/p>\n

The UP Nature Park covers an area of 14,000 square meters. According to the children’s age and behavior characteristics, the park is divided into four areas: the fun and play area focusing on perceptual exploration for children aged 3-6, the expansion area focusing on sports development for children aged 7-9, the comprehensive area focusing on theater and supporting services, and the vegetable park focusing on perception and experience plant planting. On the basis of taking care of children’s growth preferences, the park can meet the needs of people of all ages.<\/p>\n
