XJ Design<\/strong><\/a>\uff1aThe southeastern district of Datong Ancient City represents a completely new exploration in the transformation of the ancient city. The design focuses on preserving the essence of the site’s historical context and its spatial memories while incorporating a more diverse range of use scenarios. A creative initiative was introduced by planting 111 large trees within the ancient streets, a move that contributed to revitalizing the area. This transformation allowed for an exploratory connection between the cultural heritage of the past and the contemporary lifestyle.
\nAfter the updates, the revitalized district offers both local residents and visitors a fresh historical and cultural experience along with high-quality commercial and recreational spaces. Through the close collaboration of various teams, the project was able to realize these visionary goals.<\/p>\n

\u5927\u540c\u662f\u8457\u540d\u7684\u5386\u53f2\u6587\u5316\u540d\u57ce\uff0c\u65e9\u5728\u4f5c\u4e3a\u5317\u9b4f\u62d3\u8dcb\u6c0f\u7684\u90fd\u57ce\u7684\u65f6\u5019\uff0c\u5c31\u5df2\u7ecf\u4fee\u7b51\u6709\u89c4\u6a21\u5b8f\u5927\u7684\u57ce\u6c60\u3002\u66fe\u4f5c\u4e3a\u5317\u9b4f\u65f6\u671f\u7684\u9996\u90fd\uff0c\u4e3a\u4e2d\u56fd\u4e5d\u5927\u53e4\u90fd\u4e4b\u4e00\u3002\u201c\u56db\u5927\u8857\u3001\u516b\u5c0f\u5df7\uff0c\u4e03\u5341\u4e8c\u6761\u7ef5\u7ef5\u5df7\u201d\u7684\u68cb\u76d8\u5f0f\u91cc\u574a\u683c\u5c40\u662f\u5927\u540c\u53e4\u57ce\u6807\u5fd7\u6027\u7684\u98ce\u683c\u7279\u8272\u3002\u73b0\u5b58\u5927\u540c\u57ce\u5899\u4e3a\u660e\u6d2a\u6b66\u4e94\u5e74\uff08\u516c\u5143 1372 \u5e74\uff09\uff0c\u5927\u5c06\u519b\u5f90\u8fbe\u5949\u547d\u4f9d\u8fbd\u3001\u91d1\u3001\u5143\u65e7\u57ce\u57fa\u7840\u589e\u7b51\u65b0\u57ce\uff0c\u7565\u5448\u65b9\u5f62\uff0c\u4e1c\u897f\u957f 1.8 \u516c\u91cc\uff0c\u5357\u5317\u957f 1.82 \u516c\u91cc\uff0c\u5468\u957f 7.24 \u516c\u91cc\uff0c\u5360\u5730 3.28 \u5e73\u65b9\u516c\u91cc\u30022008\u5e74\uff0c\u5927\u540c\u5e02\u5168\u9762\u5b9e\u65bd\u4e86\u5386\u53f2\u6587\u5316\u590d\u5174\u4e0e\u53e4\u57ce\u4fdd\u62a4\u5de5\u7a0b\uff0c\u5927\u540c\u53e4\u57ce\u5899\u5f97\u4ee5\u518d\u5ea6\u4fee\u590d\uff0c\u4e1c\u57ce\u5899\u3001\u5357\u57ce\u5899\u4f9d\u660e\u4ee3\u5927\u540c\u57ce\u89c4\u5236\u4fee\u590d\u5b8c\u6bd5\uff0c\u5e76\u5bf9\u6e38\u5ba2\u5f00\u653e\u3002\u672c\u6848\u4f4d\u4e8e\u53e4\u57ce\u4e1c\u5357\u89d2\uff0c\u5317\u90bb\u548c\u9633\u8857\uff0c\u5357\u90bb\u4ed3\u95e8\u8857\uff0c\u897f\u90bb\u674e\u6000\u89d2\u8857\uff0c\u4e1c\u90bb\u4e1c\u95e8\u5927\u5df7\u3002<\/p>\n

Datong is a renowned historical and cultural city that boasts an extensive history dating back to the time when it served as the capital of the Northern Wei dynasty. It has a distinctive grid layout with “Four Main Streets, Eight Small Alleys, and Seventy-Two Meandering Lanes,” which is a hallmark of Datong Ancient City. The existing city walls of Datong were constructed during the Ming Hongwu period in 1372 AD, and efforts have been made to restore and preserve the ancient city walls. The project is situated in the southeastern corner of the ancient city, bordered to the north by Heyang Street, to the south by Cangmen Street, to the west by Lihuaijiao Street, and to the east by Dongmen Lane.<\/p>\n

\u8bbe\u8ba1\u6311\u6218 Design Challenges<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u6316\u6398\u51fa\u7eaf\u6b63\u7684\u5386\u53f2\u6587\u5316\u5185\u6838\uff0c\u5e76\u4e0e\u73b0\u4ee3\u751f\u6d3b\u65b9\u5f0f\u76f8\u878d\u5408\uff0c\u662f\u8fd9\u6b21\u8bbe\u8ba1\u7684\u6311\u6218\uff0c\u4e5f\u6fc0\u53d1\u51fa\u56e2\u961f\u654f\u9510\u7684\u89c9\u77e5\u548c\u5386\u53f2\u8d23\u4efb\u611f\u2014\u2014\u8ba9\u53e4\u8001\u7684\u8857\u533a\u6d3b\u8fc7\u6765\u3002\u5982\u4f55\u8ba9\u53e4\u57ce\u91cd\u65b0\u751f\u673a\u52c3\u52c3\uff0c\u4eba\u7fa4\u7edc\u7ece\u4e0d\u7edd\uff1f\u4ece\u57ce\u5e02\u4fdd\u62a4\u4e0e\u66f4\u65b0\u5165\u624b\uff0c\u7ad9\u5728\u4f20\u7edf\u7684\u6cb3\u6d41\u91cc\u987a\u63a5\u81ea\u7136\u800c\u7136\u7684\u73b0\u4ee3\u751f\u6d3b\u65b9\u5f0f\uff0c\u624d\u80fd\u590d\u6d3b\u5386\u53f2\u8857\u533a\u60a0\u4e45\u7684\u6587\u5316\u751f\u6d3b\u3002\u9879\u76ee\u521d\u59cb\u9700\u8981\u614e\u91cd\u770b\u5f85\u4fdd\u7559\u4e0e\u6539\u53d8\u7684\u5173\u7cfb\uff0c\u5728\u8fdb\u884c\u7cfb\u7edf\u6027\u7684\u601d\u8003\u540e\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u5e0c\u671b\u4ece\u6d41\u7ebf\u7cfb\u7edf\uff0c\u98ce\u8c8c\u4fee\u590d\u7cfb\u7edf\uff0c\u6587\u5316\u8282\u70b9\u7cfb\u7edf\uff0c\u81ea\u7136\u7cfb\u7edf\u56db\u4e2a\u65b9\u4fbf\u89e3\u51b3\u8fd9\u4e00\u590d\u6742\u95ee\u9898\u3002<\/p>\n

The challenge of this design was to uncover the authentic historical and cultural core while seamlessly integrating it with modern lifestyles, thereby breathing new life into the ancient district. The goal was to bring the ancient streets to life once more and attract a continuous flow of people. By approaching urban preservation and renewal with an alignment to the natural progression of modern life, the design aimed to revive the district’s rich cultural history. To address this complex issue, a systematic approach was taken, involving considerations for circulation systems, architectural restoration, cultural nodes, and natural elements.<\/p>\n

\u539a\u91cd\u7684\u6587\u5316\u6c89\u6dc0\u53ca\u5e02\u4e95\u751f\u6d3b\u6c1b\u56f4\u662f\u8fd9\u7247\u8857\u533a\u7684\u7075\u9b42\uff0c\u800c\u6b8b\u5b58\u6587\u7269\u4e0e\u5386\u53f2\u5efa\u7b51\uff0c\u8001\u5305\u53f0\uff0c\u7535\u7ebf\u6746\uff0c\u9ad8\u97f3\u5587\u53ed\u53ca\u8001\u7269\u6599\u53ef\u4ee5\u5f88\u597d\u5730\u4fdd\u7559\u8fc7\u53bb\u3002\u8bbe\u8ba1\u5e0c\u671b\u5f15\u5bfc\u4eba\u4eec\u5bf9\u8857\u533a\u6587\u5316\u7684\u4fdd\u62a4\u4e0e\u5c0a\u91cd\uff0c\u5927\u540c\u4f20\u7edf\u6c11\u5c45\u662f\u5927\u540c\u53e4\u57ce\u7684\u6587\u5316\u8f7d\u4f53\uff0c\u662f\u53e4\u57ce\u4f20\u7edf\u751f\u6d3b\u7684\u5199\u7167\uff0c\u4fdd\u62a4\u5927\u540c\u5386\u53f2\u8857\u533a, \u4f53\u9a8c\u539f\u6c41\u539f\u5473\u7684\u2f24\u540c\u53e4\u57ce\u2f42\u5316\u4f53\u9a8c\u3002\u57fa\u4e8e\u6587\u5316\u4f20\u627f\u3001\u57ce\u5e02\u529f\u80fd\u63d0\u5347\u3001\u5c45\u6c11\u9700\u6c42\u7684\u5347\u7ea7\uff0c\u4e3a\u5e7f\u5e9c\u89d2\u5386\u53f2\u8857\u533a\u8d4b\u4e88\u5c45\u4f4f\u3001\u5546\u4e1a\u914d\u5957\uff0c\u91cd\u65b0\u7115\u53d1\u6d3b\u529b\uff0c\u6253\u9020\u5b9c\u5c45\u5b9c\u4e1a\u5b9c\u6e38\u751f\u6d3b\u7247\u533a\uff0c\u4f53\u73b0\u5927\u540c\u5386\u53f2\u6587\u5316\u540d\u57ce\u7684\u4eba\u6587\u7279\u8272\u3002<\/p>\n

The profound cultural heritage and the atmosphere of everyday life form the soul of this district. Remaining relics and historical buildings, such as old platforms, utility poles, street speakers, and antique materials, vividly evoke the past. The design seeks to guide the protection and respect for the cultural identity of the district. Traditional folk houses in Datong serve as carriers of its cultural heritage, reflecting the traditional way of life in the ancient city. The project aims to enhance the historical and cultural experience of Datong by preserving its historic streets and revitalizing the historical district, creating a livable, commercial, and vibrant area that embodies the distinctive characteristics of Datong’s history and culture.<\/p>\n
