Thom Fougere<\/strong><\/a>\uff1a\u7531\u9b41\u5317\u514b\u8499\u7279\u5229\u5c14\u4e8b\u52a1\u6240 Thom Fougere \u8bbe\u8ba1\u7684 Benchmark 2023 \u83b7\u5956\u88c5\u7f6e\u201cNesting Loops\u201d\u4e8e 9 \u6708 9 \u65e5\u5728\u66fc\u5c3c\u6258\u5df4\u7701\u7ef4\u591a\u5229\u4e9a\u6d77\u6ee9\u63ed\u5e55\uff0c\u8be5\u9879\u76ee\u4f4d\u4e8e \u201c8th to McCawley\u201d\u68ee\u6797\u6b65\u9053\u6cbf\u7ebf\u7684\u4e00\u7247\u50fb\u9759\u68ee\u6797\u4e2d\u3002<\/p>\n

Thom Fougere<\/strong><\/a>\uff1aThe winning installation of Benchmark 2023, titled \u201cNesting Loops\u201d by Thom Fougere of Montreal, Quebec, was unveiled on Saturday, September 9th in Victoria Beach, Manitoba. The project is located within a secluded forest along the \u20188th to McCawley\u2019 forest trail.<\/p>\n

\u201cNesting Loops\u201d\u7531\u4e03\u4e2a\u4e0d\u540c\u5927\u5c0f\u7684\u957f\u6905\u7ec4\u6210\uff0c\u653e\u7f6e\u5728\u7ef4\u591a\u5229\u4e9a\u6d77\u6ee9\u50fb\u9759\u7684\u68ee\u6797\u5c0f\u5f84\u65c1\u3002\u8be5\u88c5\u7f6e\u521b\u9020\u4e86\u4e00\u4e2a\u5b81\u9759\u7684\u601d\u8003\u7a7a\u95f4\uff0c\u9080\u8bf7\u6e38\u5ba2\u5750\u4e0b\u6765\u4e0e\u5927\u81ea\u7136\u4ea4\u6d41\u3002\u67d4\u548c\u7684\u55b7\u7802\u94dd\u8868\u9762\u6355\u6349\u7740\u900f\u8fc7\u5468\u56f4\u68ee\u6797\u6811\u51a0\u7684\u6591\u9a73\u5149\u7ebf\uff0c\u5728\u88c5\u7f6e\u4e0e\u5468\u56f4\u81ea\u7136\u73af\u5883\u4e4b\u95f4\u4ea7\u751f\u4e86\u4e00\u79cd\u5177\u6709\u52a8\u611f\u7684\u76f8\u4e92\u4f5c\u7528\u3002<\/p>\n

\u201cNesting Loops\u201d consists of seven benches of various sizes placed alongside the secluded Victoria Beach forest trail. This installation creates a tranquil space for reflection and contemplation, inviting visitors to sit and connect with nature. The subdued sand-blasted aluminum surface passively captures the dappling of light through the surrounding forest canopy, creating a dynamic interplay between the installation and its natural surroundings.<\/p>\n

Thom Fougere \u8868\u793a\uff1a\u201c\u5f88\u8363\u5e78\u88ab\u9009\u4e2d\u8bbe\u8ba1\u8fd9\u4e2a\u88c5\u7f6e\u3002\u6211\u5bf9\u6211\u4eec\u4e0e\u81ea\u7136\u7684\u8054\u7cfb\u4ee5\u53ca\u5982\u4f55\u63d0\u5347\u751f\u6d3b\u7684\u5fae\u5999\u4e4b\u5904\u6df1\u611f\u5174\u8da3\uff0c\u8fd9\u662f\u81ea\u7136\u8d4b\u4e88\u6211\u4eec\u7684\uff0c\u4f46\u5374\u5f80\u5f80\u88ab\u5ffd\u89c6\u3002\u8be5\u88c5\u7f6e\u7684\u8bbe\u8ba1\u6b63\u5f0f\u4e3a\u4e86\u505a\u5230\u5728\u6709\u6548\u5229\u7528\u6750\u6599\u7684\u540c\u65f6\uff0c\u4e3a\u53c2\u89c2\u8005\u63d0\u4f9b\u4e0e\u5468\u56f4\u73af\u5883\u8054\u7cfb\u7684\u673a\u4f1a\uff0c\u4f7f\u4ed6\u4eec\u5728\u5e7d\u9759\u7684\u81ea\u7136\u73af\u5883\u4e2d\u653e\u677e\u8eab\u5fc3\u3002\u8fd9\u662f\u4e00\u79cd\u5341\u5206\u5b9e\u7528\u3001\u503c\u5f97\u8d5e\u626c\u7684\u65b9\u6cd5\uff0c\u6211\u76f8\u4fe1\u5df2\u6545\u7684\u5927\u536b\u00b7\u5f6d\u7eb3\uff08David Penner\uff09\u4e5f\u6709\u540c\u6837\u7684\u60f3\u6cd5\uff0c\u8fd9\u5f20\u957f\u6905\u4e5f\u5c06\u4f5c\u4e3a\u5bf9\u4ed6\u7684\u7eaa\u5ff5\u201d\u3002<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is an honour to be selected to design this installation. I\u2019m deeply interested in our connection to nature and how to elevate life\u2019s subtleties, which nature grants us but often goes unnoticed. The design of this installation aims to do just that, offering visitors the opportunity to connect with their surroundings and unplug in a secluded natural environment while using materials efficiently. A rather pragmatic, prairieminded approach, one I\u2019m sure was shared by the late David Penner, for whom this bench will serve as a memorial.\u201d – Thom Fougere<\/p>\n

\u8be5\u9879\u76ee\u662f Storefront Manitoba \u548c\u6e29\u5c3c\u4f2f\u6b65\u9053\u534f\u4f1a\u7ec4\u7ec7\u7684\u56fd\u9645\u8bbe\u8ba1\u7ade\u8d5b Benchmark \u7684\u4e00\u90e8\u5206\u3002\u66fc\u5c3c\u6258\u5df4\u7701\u7ef4\u591a\u5229\u4e9a\u6d77\u6ee9\u88ab\u9009\u4e3a 2023 \u5e74\u8bbe\u8ba1\u7ade\u8d5b\u7684\u4e3e\u529e\u5730\uff0c\u4ee5\u7eaa\u5ff5\u5df2\u6545\u7684 Storefront Manitoba \u521b\u59cb\u4eba\u517c\u524d\u6267\u884c\u8463\u4e8b\u5927\u536b\u00b7\u5f6d\u7eb3\u3002<\/p>\n

\u52a0\u62ff\u5927\u8de8\u56fd\u6b65\u9053\u603b\u88c1\u517c\u9996\u5e2d\u6267\u884c\u5b98 Eleanor McMahon \u8868\u793a\uff1a \u201c\u6211\u4eec\u5f88\u9ad8\u5174\u80fd\u901a\u8fc7 Benchmark \u7ade\u8d5b\u9879\u76ee\u652f\u6301 Nesting Loops \u7684\u5b89\u88c5\u3002\u50cf\u8fd9\u6837\u4fc3\u8fdb\u793e\u533a\u7684\u8054\u7cfb\u5e76\u6b23\u8d4f\u66fc\u5c3c\u6258\u5df4\u7701\u7f8e\u5999\u81ea\u7136\u73af\u5883\u7684\u9879\u76ee\u662f\u6211\u4eec\u5de5\u4f5c\u7684\u6838\u5fc3\u3002\u201d<\/p>\n

This project was chosen as part of the international design competition, Benchmark, organized by Storefront Manitoba and the Winnipeg Trails Association. Victoria Beach, Manitoba was selected as the site for the 2023 edition as a tribute to the late David Penner, the founder and former Executive Director of Storefront Manitoba.<\/p>\n

Benchmark \u662f\u4e00\u9879\u56fd\u9645\u8bbe\u8ba1\u7ade\u8d5b\uff0c\u6700\u7ec8\u5c06\u5728\u6e29\u5c3c\u4f2f\u548c\u66fc\u5c3c\u6258\u5df4\u6b65\u9053\u7cfb\u7edf\u548c\u57ce\u5e02\u666f\u89c2\u4e2d\u8bbe\u7acb\u6c38\u4e45\u88c5\u7f6e\uff0c\u6b65\u9053\u534f\u4f1a\u9080\u8bf7\u6765\u81ea\u4e16\u754c\u5404\u5730\u7684\u4e2a\u4eba\u548c\u56e2\u4f53\u63d0\u4ea4\u8bbe\u8ba1\u4f5c\u54c1\uff0c\u8fd9\u4e9b\u4f5c\u54c1\u5c06\u628a\u4eba\u4eec\u805a\u96c6\u5728\u4e00\u8d77\uff0c\u4e3a\u4eba\u4eec\u63d0\u4f9b\u4e00\u4e2a\u4f11\u606f\u3001\u5c0f\u61a9\u3001\u89c2\u666f\u3001\u501a\u9760\u3001\u601d\u8003\u5468\u56f4\u73af\u5883\u7684\u573a\u6240\uff0c\u751a\u81f3\u4e3a\u6b65\u9053\u7684\u4f7f\u7528\u8005\u521b\u9020\u65b0\u7684\u6d3b\u52a8\u3002<\/p>\n

Benchmark is an international design challenge which culminates in permanent installations along the trail systems and urban landscapes of Winnipeg and Manitoba. Storefront Manitoba and the Winnipeg Trails Association invite individuals and groups from around the world to submit designs that will bring people together, provide a place to rest, take a break, people-watch, lean, contemplate one\u2019s surroundings, and even create new activities for the diverse users of our trails.<\/p>\n
