Tebet Eco Park is a 7.3-hectare public park revitalization project located in Jakarta, Indonesia with focuses on an active regeneration of the site\u2019s ecology with tree conservation and enhancing the blue green infrastructure. The ecological landscape design approach reduces the risk of flooding with river re-naturalization. The result of this new urban regeneration cultivates an inclusive environment that facilitates access to a wide offering of recreational activities in a natural setting.<\/p>\n

The park was divided by a 714m open drain which was heavily polluted due to unfiltered water runoff from the upstream catchment. During high storm events, the park is frequently flooded as climate change drastically affects the unpredicted rainfall. A key strategy to ensuring the waterways are appropriately designed through nature-based system to improve the hydraulic performance. The once highly polluted canal is now revitalized into an active waterway with a climate-adaptive approach. The ecologically restored river, planted with riparian vegetation, improves water quality by filtering and cleansing surrounding run-off and enhancing the site\u2019s biodiversity. A wide and meandering waterway increases hydraulic capacity, provides resilient floodplain, and brings the diverse native river ecosystem back to the park.<\/p>\n

\u53ef\u6301\u7eed\u5efa\u8bbe Sustainable Construction<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u8bbe\u8ba1\u56e2\u961f\u5bf9\u73b0\u6709\u7684 1500 \u591a\u68f5\u6811\u6728\u8fdb\u884c\u4e86\u5065\u5eb7\u548c\u4ef7\u503c\u8bc4\u4f30\u8c03\u67e5\u3002\u666f\u89c2\u8bbe\u8ba1\u5c3d\u53ef\u80fd\u5730\u51cf\u5c11\u5bf9\u6811\u6728\u7684\u5e72\u9884\uff0c\u5728\u4fdd\u62a4\u73cd\u8d35\u6811\u6728\u7684\u540c\u65f6\uff0c\u4e5f\u4fdd\u62a4\u4e86\u573a\u5730\u7684\u81ea\u7136\u8d44\u6e90\u3002\u4ece\u539f\u6709\u8fd0\u6cb3\u4e2d\u6316\u6398\u51fa\u7684\u6750\u6599\uff0c\u5982\u77f3\u5757\u548c\u780d\u4f10\u7684\u6811\u6728\u539f\u6728\u90fd\u5f97\u5230\u4e86\u91cd\u65b0\u5229\u7528\uff0c\u6210\u4e3a\u65b0\u516c\u56ed\u5efa\u7b51\u6750\u6599\u548c\u8bbe\u8ba1\u5143\u7d20\u7684\u4e00\u90e8\u5206\u3002\u957f\u52bf\u4e0d\u4f73\u7684\u6811\u6728\u4e00\u90e8\u5206\u88ab\u8fc1\u79fb\u5230\u65b0\u7684\u5730\u65b9\uff0c\u4e00\u90e8\u5206\u88ab\u91cd\u65b0\u5229\u7528\uff0c\u6210\u4e3a\u516c\u56ed\u5bb6\u5177\u548c\u6e38\u4e50\u573a\u5143\u7d20\u7684\u4e00\u90e8\u5206\u3002<\/p>\n

Over 1500s existing trees were surveyed for the health and value assessment. The landscape design intervention is kept as minimal possible, preserving the valuable trees while also sustaining the natural resources of the site. The excavated materials such as the pre-existing canal’s stones and felled trees log was reused and upcycled as part of the new park construction material and design elements. The unhealthy trees were either relocated to a new location or reused as part of the park\u2019s furniture and playground elements.<\/p>\n

\u8be5\u9879\u76ee\u4ee5\u4e0e\u5f53\u5730\u793e\u533a\u548c\u5229\u76ca\u76f8\u5173\u8005\u53c2\u4e0e\u521b\u65b0\u9a71\u52a8\u548c\u5171\u540c\u521b\u9020\u7684\u65b9\u5f0f\u4e3a\u76ee\u6807\u3002\u7531\u53c2\u4e0e\u8005\u5171\u5efa\u7684\u79ef\u6781\u7a7a\u95f4\u4e0e\u88ab\u52a8\u7a7a\u95f4\u4e3a\u793e\u533a\u63d0\u4f9b\u4e86\u5e7f\u6cdb\u7684\u5a31\u4e50\u3001\u6559\u80b2\u548c\u793e\u4ea4\u6d3b\u52a8\u3002\u7115\u7136\u4e00\u65b0\u7684\u84dd\u7eff\u8272\u5f00\u653e\u7a7a\u95f4\u53ef\u4f9b\u4e0d\u540c\u5e74\u9f84\u548c\u80cc\u666f\u7684\u4eba\u4f7f\u7528\uff0c\u6210\u4e3a\u4e86\u4e00\u4e2a\u771f\u6b63\u4e3a\u5f53\u5730\u793e\u533a\u63d0\u4f9b\u793e\u4f1a\u798f\u7949\u7684\u516c\u56ed\u3002<\/p>\n

This collaborative approach together with the involvement of local communities and stakeholders for an innovation-driven and co-creation formulate the project\u2019s goal. The active and passive space provides a wide range of recreational, educational, and social activities for the community. The revitalized blue-green open space is accessible by people from all ages and backgrounds, a park that truly provides social wellbeing for the local community.<\/p>\n

The initial park was separated by the river and busy traffic road segregating the pedestrian connectivity. As a public park, inclusive connectivity and accessibility for all people is essential. The infinity-shaped pedestrian bridge was designed to encounter pedestrian connectivity as a seamless pathway connects the separated parks. The striking color and meandering bridge were designed to avoid the existing trees and ensure minimum impact to the existing environment, inviting park users to explore the entire parks.<\/p>\n

The completion of Tebet Eco Park was regarded as a significant milestone for public park design in Jakarta city that integrates the ecological landscape and recreational spaces seamlessly, providing a greater equity in the city, an ecosystem where human and nature can coalesce. Since the completion of Tebet Eco Park have received multiple international award including Design of The Year at President*s Design Award Singapore in July 2023.<\/p>\n
