WALLMAKERS<\/strong><\/a>\uff1a\u200b\u4e00\u4f4d\u5f53\u5730\u97f3\u4e50\u5bb6\u63d0\u8bae\u4fee\u5efa\u7684\u5c3c\u8428\u5c14\u52a0\uff08Nisarga\uff09\u827a\u672f\u4e2d\u5fc3\u4e3a\u5e38\u9a7b\u6f14\u51fa\u63d0\u4f9b\u4e86\u573a\u5730\uff0c\u5e76\u4e3a\u4eba\u4eec\u4ea4\u6d41\u3001\u805a\u4f1a\uff0c\u53c2\u52a0\u827a\u672f\u548c\u6587\u5316\u6d3b\u52a8\u521b\u9020\u4e86\u6761\u4ef6\u3002<\/p>\n

WALLMAKERS<\/strong><\/a>\uff1aNisarga art hub is an initiative by a family of musicians to make a community residency where people can interact and congregate for art and cultural events.<\/p>\n

The site was near a paddy field, with the traditional \u201ckerala roofs\u201d being the only feature crowding the horizon around it. Even though these traditional roofs are famous for being the ideal insulators and temperature regulators , it\u2019s a waning feature in contemporary architecture today, simply because the darkness it brings is not suited to the modern man\u2019s comfort and aesthetics.<\/p>\n

\u56e0\u6b64\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u840c\u751f\u4e86\u5c06\u5c4b\u9876\u6253\u901a\u7684\u60f3\u6cd5\uff0c\u4ee5\u4fbf\u5b89\u88c5\u5929\u7a97\uff0c\u5c06\u5149\u7ebf\u5f15\u5165\u5ba4\u5185\u3002\u800c\u5c4b\u9876\u503e\u659c\u7684\u89d2\u5ea6\uff0835\u00b0\uff09 \u4e0e\u9732\u5929\u5267\u573a\u7684 30\u00b0 \u4f3c\u4e4e\u6709\u7740\u5f02\u66f2\u540c\u5de5\u4e4b\u5999\uff0c\u4e8e\u662f\u6211\u4eec\u4fbf\u6709\u4e86\u5c06\u5c4b\u9876\u7684\u5929\u7a97\u6539\u9020\u6210\u89c2\u4f17\u5e2d\u7684\u60f3\u6cd5\u3002\u200b\u5728\u6e38\u6cf3\u6c60\u4e0a\u94fa\u8bbe\u4e00\u6392\u6728\u677f\uff0c\u5c31\u80fd\u7acb\u5373\u6210\u4e3a\u9732\u5929\u97f3\u4e50\u4f1a\u7684\u821e\u53f0\uff0c\u8fd8\u53ef\u5bb9\u7eb3 75-80 \u4eba\u3002<\/p>\n

Thus the idea to break open the roof to accommodate skylights that stream in the light was conceived. The 35\u00b0 angle of the roof seemed to perfectly matchwith the 30\u00b0 angle of an open-air amphitheatre and the idea for the same skylights to become seating spaces for an audience was born. A series of wooden planks could be set on the swimming pool and it immediately doubles up as a stage for open-air concerts that can accommodate 75-80 people.<\/p>\n

The interior spaces are conceived as open flexible spaces where the occupants mostly use the wooden floors for interacting with visitors and for dining, as was the preference of the clients who advocated the benefits of the \u2018Padmasana\u2019 position (sitting lotus pose).<\/p>\n

The strategically designed breaks in the roof allow light to stream in, diffused by jute sack rolls and permits for the hot air to escape. Reclaimed laterite blocks from demolished buildings form the verandah in front of the home reminiscent of the old \u201cmuttams\u201d of traditional Kerala homes.<\/p>\n
