L&A GROUP<\/strong><\/a>:\u00a0 In the autumn of 2016, the 32nd Tangshan World Horticultural Expo successfully concluded its run at Nanhu Park. As the main venue, Nanhu Park welcomed visitors from all over the country, showcasing the beautiful blend of city life and the nature. After the Expo ended, the city returned to its usual pace, Nanhu Park slowly lost the attention it had garnered during the event.<\/p>\n

In recent years, amidst the city’s bustling urban renewal, Nanhu Park is back in the public eye. What scene comes to mind when you think of an autumn afternoon?<\/p>\n

\u521d\u8bc6\u573a\u5730 The Existed Site<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u9879\u76ee\u4f4d\u4e8e\u5357\u6e56\u516c\u56ed\u6843\u82b1\u6f6d\u95e8\u5185\u897f\u5357\u65b9\u5411160\u7c73\u5904\uff0c\u6539\u9020\u524d\u9664\u4e86\u4e00\u7ec4\u6728\u5236\u5eca\u67b6\uff0c\u53ea\u6709\u5e73\u884c\u5411\u4e0a\u7684\u4e00\u68f5\u68f5\u68a7\u6850\u6811\u3002<\/p>\n

\u6211\u4eec\u5e0c\u671b\uff0c\u68a7\u6850\u6797\u4e0b\u53ef\u4ee5\u751f\u957f\u51fa\u4e00\u6761\u81ea\u7531\u7075\u52a8\u7684\u201c\u98d8\u5e26\u201d\uff0c\u4e32\u8054\u68a7\u6850\u548c\u6797\u4e0b\u7a7a\u95f4\u3002\u6211\u4eec\u9009\u62e9\u4e86\u4ee3\u8868\u9633\u5149\u3001\u6d3b\u529b\u3001\u6e29\u6696\u7684\u6a59\u9ec4\u8272\u4f5c\u4e3a\u8bbe\u5907\u7684\u4e3b\u9898\u989c\u8272\uff0c\u4e0e\u573a\u5730\u7684\u7070\u8272\u94fa\u88c5\u4ee5\u53ca\u5b63\u76f8\u53d8\u5316\u660e\u663e\u7684\u68a7\u6850\u78b0\u649e\u51fa\u610f\u60f3\u4e0d\u5230\u7684\u89c6\u89c9\u6548\u679c\u3002<\/p>\n

The project is situated 160 meters southwest from the Taohuatan Gate within Nanhu Park. Before the renovation, wutong trees (Chinese parasol trees) lined the area alongside a wooden corridor structure.<\/p>\n

We aimed to create an interactive “fluttering ribbon” (an art installation system with amusement functions) beneath the wutong trees to connect the whole tree area. Using a vibrant bright yellow hue symbolizing sunlight and warmth, we sought to contrast this with the park’s grey pavement and the distinct seasonal changes of the wutong trees, creating a striking visual effect.<\/p>\n

We aimed to create a space for direct or indirect engagement with the wutong trees, bridging the gap between urban life and the nature. Through our design, the “fluttering ribbon” and wutong trees seamlessly interact, harmonizing in both color and form without any abruptness.<\/p>\n

The sunlight filtering through the wutong leaves creates a dynamic play of light and shadow. Elderly people gather here, reminiscing with siblings, as memories from their youth gradually come into focus in the warm sunlight. Adults find solace, relieving desk work fatigue and rejuvenating their bodies.<\/p>\n

As night falls, the site gradually dims, and the lights begin sketching the contours of the entire space. The “ribbon” takes on a graceful new form, gently “fluttering” in the air.<\/p>\n

\u5448\u73b0\u51fa\u4e0d\u540c\u4e8e\u767d\u5929\u6240\u89c1\u7684\u6e29\u6696\u611f\u89c9\uff0c\u663e\u5f97\u7cbe\u81f4\u67d4\u548c\uff1b\u767d\u5929\u70ed\u95f9\u7684\u5eca\u67b6\u6b64\u65f6\u4e5f\u53d8\u5f97\u5b89\u9759\u8212\u7f13\u3002<\/p>\n

The subtle urban renewal has created new spaces, providing unique experiences. Simultaneously, human activities breathe new life into the renewed site – comfortable designs always bring more joy. Through landscape design, our aim was to share the city’s warmth and joy with more people.<\/p>\n

\u8bbe\u8ba1\u5e08\u8bf4 Designer’s View<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u65bd\u5de5\u8fc7\u7a0b\u4e2d\uff0c\u8bbe\u8ba1\u5e08\u4ece\u5de5\u5382\u5230\u73b0\u573a\u5168\u7a0b\u628a\u63a7\uff0c\u540c\u65bd\u5de5\u5e08\u5085\u4eec\u4e00\u8d77\u63a8\u6572\u8bbe\u8ba1\u7ec6\u8282\u3002<\/p>\n

\u8bbe\u5907\u4e28\u591a\u4e3a\u5927\u4f53\u91cf\u3001\u5f02\u5f62\u5185\u5bb9\uff0c\u56e0\u6b64\u91c7\u7528\u5de5\u5382\u5206\u6bb5\u52a0\u5de5\u3001\u73b0\u573a\u62fc\u88c5\u7684\u65b9\u5f0f\u63a8\u8fdb\u3002\u201c\u9ec4\u98d8\u5e26\u201d\u6574\u4f53\u4ee5\u67b6\u7a7a\u4e3a\u4e3b\uff0c\u540c\u65f6\u53c8\u8981\u907f\u514d\u4e0e\u68a7\u6850\u6811\u679d\u6748\u4ea7\u751f\u51b2\u7a81\uff0c\u56e0\u6b64\u62fc\u63a5\u5de5\u4f5c\u96be\u5ea6\u6210\u500d\u6570\u589e\u52a0\u3002\u4f46\u6700\u7ec8\u5728\u5927\u5bb6\u7684\u4e0d\u61c8\u52aa\u529b\u4e0b\uff0c\u65e2\u4fdd\u8bc1\u4e86\u8bbe\u5907\u7684\u6574\u4f53\u6548\u679c\uff0c\u53c8\u4fdd\u8bc1\u4e86\u4e0e\u68a7\u6850\u7684\u548c\u8c10\u5171\u751f\u3002<\/p>\n

During the on-site construction and installation assembly, the designer oversaw the entire process from factory to the site, collaborating closely with construction workers to refine design details.<\/p>\n

Installation: Most parts of the installation, being large and irregular in shape, required segmented factory processing and on-site assembly. The “yellow fluttering ribbon” mainly operates overhead, demanding careful coordination to avoid conflicts with wutong branches, significantly heightening assembly complexity. However, through everyone’s unremitting efforts, we ensured both overall effect of the installation and its harmonious coexistence with the wutong trees.<\/p>\n

Timeframe: The construction complexity also significantly increased due to the project\u2019s tight deadline and concurrent installing and assembling work on both corridor structure and all other landscape furniture below it. Through extensive coordination, we managed to synchronize various construction tasks and ensure completion within the designated timeframe.<\/p>\n

Details: In response to human needs, we included designated areas for baby stroller parking and ergonomic seating with appropriate height and spacing. Prioritizing site safety, we continuously improved the corridor structure to ensure safety without compromising the overall design. We also installed friendly reminder signs on the installations to keep visitors constantly aware of safety precautions.<\/p>\n
