Name Lab<\/a><\/strong>:\u00a0 The project is located on top of the atrium terrace of the indoor commercial street of IFC International Financial Center in Zhengzhou, Henan Province. It is a hair salon with open space. The site is composed of two major elements: white clay blocks and galvanized scaffolding. The white blocks divide the space into public and private areas, while the top frame built by galvanized scaffolding gives the whole space a sense of belonging. The client hopes that the whole site can function like a runway-style showroom, where the space becomes a background for style matching, and users become the core of the space.<\/p>\n

\u7532\u65b9\u662f\u201c\u5468\u4e8c\u6d3b\u52a8\u201d\u2014\u2014\u5373\u5728\u6bcf\u4e2a\u5468\u4e8c\u514d\u8d39\u4e0a\u8857\u4e3a\u5b64\u5be1\u8001\u4eba\u548c\u6d41\u6d6a\u6c49\u7406\u53d1\u7684\u6d3b\u52a8\u7684\u53d1\u8d77\u4eba\uff0c\u4ed6\u4eec\u5e0c\u671b\u8fd9\u4e2a\u573a\u5730\u5728\u4f5c\u4e3a\u7406\u53d1\u5e97\u4f7f\u7528\u7684\u540c\u65f6\uff0c\u4e5f\u80fd\u4f53\u73b0\u5176\u516c\u76ca\u578b\u7684\u5f00\u653e\u6027\uff0c\u540c\u65f6\u8fd8\u5e0c\u671b\u6574\u4e2a\u573a\u5730\u80fd\u4f5c\u4e3a\u4e00\u4e2a\u5c55\u89c8\u533a\u57df\u6765\u4f7f\u7528\u3002<\/p>\n

The client is the initiator of “Tuesday Activity” – a free street haircut service for the elderly and homeless every Tuesday. They hope that this site can reflect its public welfare and openness while being used as a barber shop, and also hope that the whole site can be used as an exhibition area.<\/p>\n

\u7531\u4e8e\u539f\u573a\u5730\u672c\u8eab\u5df2\u5177\u5907\u4e00\u5b9a\u7684\u7406\u53d1\u7ecf\u8425\u6761\u4ef6\uff0c\u6545\u800c\u7532\u65b9\u671f\u671b\u80fd\u5728\u4e0d\u505c\u6b62\u8425\u4e1a\u7684\u60c5\u51b5\u4e0b\u5b8c\u6210\u8bbe\u8ba1\u53ca\u65bd\u5de5\u6539\u9020\u3002\u51fa\u4e8e\u8fd9\u4e2a\u8003\u8651\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u4ea7\u751f\u4e86\u5229\u7528\u9884\u5236\u5316\u6750\u6599\u8fdb\u884c\u642d\u5efa\u7684\u60f3\u6cd5\uff1a\u4ee5\u7b80\u6613\u7684\u5c11\u91cf\u6ce5\u5851\u5899\u4f53\uff0c\u53ca\u7b80\u5355\u7684\u811a\u624b\u67b6\u642d\u5efa\u8fd9\u4e24\u79cd\u5efa\u9020\u624b\u6cd5\uff0c\u5c06\u6574\u4e2a\u573a\u5730\u4ee5\u7b80\u5355\u7684\u5f62\u5f0f\u8fdb\u884c\u5212\u5206\u91cd\u7ec4\uff0c\u6700\u540e\u5f62\u6210\u573a\u5730+\u201c\u5c55\u5eca\u201d\u7684\u89e3\u51b3\u65b9\u6848\u3002\u5728\u6574\u4e2a\u5efa\u9020\u8fc7\u7a0b\u671f\u95f4\uff0c\u5e97\u94fa\u6ca1\u6709\u6b47\u4e1a\u4e00\u5929\u3002<\/p>\n

Since the space was essentially ready to run as a hair salon, the client would like to complete the design and construction for the renovation without shutting down the business. For this reason we came up with the idea of building by using prefab materials\uff1ausing simple and minimal clay walls and simple scaffolding construction techniques. We divided and reorganized the whole site in a simple form, eventually reached the solution of “site + ‘exhibition gallery'”. Therefore the salon never missed a single day of business during the entire construction phase.<\/p>\n

\u4f5c\u4e3a\u7f8e\u53d1\u6c99\u9f99\u672c\u8eab\uff0c\u987e\u5ba2\u5bf9\u4e8e\u73af\u5883\u7684\u79c1\u5bc6\u6027\u6709\u7740\u4e00\u5b9a\u8981\u6c42\uff0c\u8fd9\u4e00\u70b9\u4e0e\u7532\u65b9\u6240\u671f\u671b\u7684\u516c\u76ca\u5f00\u653e\u6027\u6240\u77db\u76fe\u3002\u9762\u5bf9\u8fd9\u4e00\u95ee\u9898\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u91c7\u7528\u4e86\u8ba9\u7a7a\u95f4\u8fde\u8d2f\u7b56\u7565\u7684\u540c\u65f6\uff0c\u5229\u7528\u6ce5\u5851\u4f53\u5757\u5bf9\u5404\u89d2\u5ea6\u7684\u89c6\u7ebf\u8fdb\u884c\u4e86\u9002\u5f53\u7684\u906e\u6321\uff0c\u56f4\u7ed5\u5404\u4e2a\u4f53\u5757\u5f62\u6210\u4e86\u591a\u4e2a\u73af\u5f62\u7684\u7a7a\u95f4\u6d41\u7ebf\uff0c\u4ee4\u573a\u5730\u5185\u5728\u5f00\u653e\u53ca\u79c1\u5bc6\u4e0a\u8fbe\u6210\u548c\u8c10\u3002<\/p>\n

As for a hair salon itself, customers may have certain requirements for the privacy of the environment, which contradicts the request for public welfare and openness that the client expects. Facing this problem, we adopted a strategy of making the space coherent, while using clay blocks to block the sight lines from different angles, forming multiple circular spatial flows around each block, making the site harmonious in terms of openness and privacy.<\/p>\n

\u5728\u6750\u6599\u4f7f\u7528\u4e0a\uff0c\u6574\u4e2a\u7a7a\u95f4\u5185\u7684\u4e3b\u8981\u6784\u4ef6\u90fd\u53ef\u4ee5\u7528\u4f5c\u4e8c\u6b21\u4f7f\u7528\uff1a<\/p>\n

\u6240\u6709\u5899\u4f53\u4e0a\u7684\u767d\u8272\u6ce5\u5851\u7686\u4e3a\u53ef\u518d\u751f\u6ce5\uff0c\u62c6\u9664\u4e0b\u6765\u540e\u53ef\u8fdb\u884c\u518d\u6b21\u5851\u5f62\u4ece\u800c\u7528\u4e8e\u5e38\u7528\u7684\u96d5\u5851\u5236\u4f5c\uff1b<\/p>\n

\u9876\u90e8\u7684\u5927\u91cf\u6784\u67b6\u5168\u90e8\u7531\u9540\u950c\u811a\u624b\u67b6\u642d\u5efa\u800c\u6210\uff0c\u5728\u8be5\u9879\u76ee\u7684\u4f7f\u7528\u5468\u671f\u7ed3\u675f\u540e\uff0c\u53ef\u5168\u90e8\u56de\u6536\u8fdb\u884c\u4e8c\u6b21\u5229\u7528\u3002<\/p>\n

\u6574\u4e2a\u573a\u5730\u5728\u4f7f\u7528\u5468\u671f\u7ed3\u675f\u540e\uff0c\u4e3b\u8981\u6750\u6599\u548c\u6784\u4ef6\u90fd\u4fbf\u4e8e\u62c6\u5378\uff0c\u5982\u540c\u4e00\u6b21\u5feb\u95ea\u6d3b\u52a8\u4e00\u822c\uff0c\u5c06\u539f\u672c\u7684\u7a7a\u65f7\u573a\u5730\u5b8c\u6574\u5730\u8fdb\u884c\u590d\u539f\u3002<\/p>\n

In terms of material use, the main components in the whole space can be used for secondary use:<\/p>\n

All the white clay on the walls are renewable clay, which can be reshaped after being removed and used for common sculpture production;<\/p>\n

The large number of frames on the top are all built by galvanized scaffolding, which can be recycled and reused post to the life cycle of this project.<\/p>\n

After the life cycle of the whole site is over, the main materials and components are easy to dismantle, just like a pop-up event, restoring the original empty site intact.<\/p>\n
