Daily tous les jours<\/a> <\/b><\/strong>\u518d\u6b21\u5c1d\u8bd5\u4ee5\u65b0\u7684\u65b9\u5f0f\u70b9\u71c3\u793e\u4ea4\u4e92\u52a8\u7684\u706b\u82b1\u3002Hello, Hello\uff0c\u4e00\u4e2a\u4f4d\u4e8e\u53d1\u5149\u62f1\u95e8\u5185\u7684\u8bd7\u610f\u4fe1\u606f\u4f20\u9012\u7cfb\u7edf\uff0c\u5c06\u4eba\u4eec\u7684\u58f0\u97f3\u53d8\u6210\u4e86\u4e00\u79cd\u6292\u60c5\u5947\u89c2\u3002<\/p>\n

With its five-storey reflective fa\u00e7ade overlooking the banks of the Grand River, the artwork serves as the front yard and welcome mat for a new district revitalizing the edge of Cambridge, Ontario, inviting people to engage creatively with their surroundings and each other.<\/p>\n

Passers-by are invited to deliver a greeting or message at one of three microphones at the base of the installation. Their voices slowly become music and shafts of colors that travel up and over the 13m luminescent arch. In transforming messages, Hello, Hello accounts for a speaker\u2019s tone, cadence, and duration, rendering every melody as unique.<\/p>\n

When voices from multiple microphones meet, they interact with one another to create a singular harmonic moment. The wave-sculpted mirror fa\u00e7ade amplifies the resonance of the constantly evolving scene before it.<\/p>\n

Hello, Hello \u662f HIP \u5f00\u53d1\u516c\u53f8\u59d4\u6258 Daily tous les jours \u4e3a Gaslight District \u8d2d\u7269\u4e2d\u5fc3\u521b\u4f5c\u7684\u4e24\u4ef6\u4f5c\u54c1\u4e4b\u4e00\uff0c\u4e5f\u662f\u5176 \u201c\u6b22\u4e50\u5b9e\u9a8c\u201d\u613f\u666f\u7684\u4e00\u90e8\u5206\uff0c\u65e8\u5728\u901a\u8fc7\u6e38\u620f\u548c\u4e92\u52a8\u4fc3\u8fdb\u793e\u533a\u53d1\u5c55\u3002<\/p>\n

Hello, Hello is one of two Daily tous les jours pieces commissioned for the Gaslight District in Cambridge, Ontario, by HIP Developments, as part of their vision for \u201cJoy Experiments\u201d\u2014interventions designed to foster community through play.<\/p>\n

The Gaslight District is a mixed-use development built on the site of a 19th-century foundry when the region was known as \u201cthe Manchester of Canada.\u201d Today the region’s industry leans more high-tech, with manufacturing in technologies like robotics and satellites, while also being home to the University of Waterloo, one of Canada\u2019s leading institutions for advanced scientific research.<\/p>\n
