Space Station Architects<\/strong><\/a>: The primary reason why urban spaces built by humans are “unfriendly” to small-sized animals is that they are designed according to human proportion and behavioral patterns. <\/span> These behavioral patterns in turn give shape to pervasive special “concepts”, such as indoors, outdoors, doorways and windows, steps, paving, greening, furniture, lighting. <\/span> Our architects have dealt with these concepts in former projects, which even included “cat friendly facilities” among them. <\/span> What we are aiming to do now, is to dilute the constraints brought by these concepts while bringing the “elements” within the designed site back to a state of equality.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u6211\u4eec\u6709\u610f\u7684\u5ffd\u7565\u4e86\u5ba4\u5185\u5916\u7684\u533a\u522b\uff0c\u800c\u91c7\u7528\u4e86\u4e00\u79cd\u201c\u5ef6\u7ef5\u8d77\u4f0f\u7684\u5730\u5f62\u201d\u6765\u8986\u76d6\u6574\u4e2a\u5730\u6bb5\u3002\u8fd9\u4e9b\u201c\u5730\u5f62\u201d\u4e4b\u4e2d\u7684\u5143\u7d20\u53c8\u6a21\u7cca\u4e86\u53f0\u9636\u3001\u5761\u5730\u548c\u5ea7\u51f3\u7684\u533a\u522b\uff0c\u4ee3\u4e4b\u4ee5\u201c\u4f9b\u4eba\u7c7b\u548c\u5176\u4ed6\u52a8\u7269\u884c\u8d70\u548c\u505c\u7559\u7684\u5761\u9762\u4e0e\u5e73\u9762\u201d\u3002\u690d\u7269\u5219\u6beb\u65e0\u89c4\u5f8b\u7684\u4ece\u8fd9\u4e9b\u201c\u5e73\u9762\u201d\u4e2d\u751f\u957f\u800c\u51fa\u3002\u5728\u690d\u7269\u7684\u79cd\u7c7b\u4e0a\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u4e3b\u8981\u9009\u62e9\u4e86\u4e00\u3001\u4e8c\u5e74\u751f\u7684\u8349\u672c\u690d\u7269\uff0c\u8ba9\u690d\u7269\u53ef\u4ee5\u76f4\u89c2\u7684\u53cd\u5e94\u5b63\u8282\u548c\u73af\u5883\u7684\u53d8\u5316\u3002\u5728\u5730\u5f62\u548c\u690d\u7269\u4e4b\u5916\u53c8\u6f02\u6d6e\u7740\u4e00\u4e9b\u201c\u53d1\u5149\u7684\u5706\u7247\u201d\uff0c\u4eba\u7c7b\u53ef\u4ee5\u5c06\u5b83\u4eec\u4f5c\u4e3a\u684c\u6905\u4f7f\u7528\uff0c\u800c\u732b\u54aa\u5219\u53ef\u4ee5\u5c06\u5b83\u4eec\u4f5c\u4e3a\u6e38\u620f\u7684\u573a\u6240\u3002<\/p>\n

We deliberately ignored the distinction between interior and exterior and adopted an “undulating topographic pattern” to cover the whole lot. <\/span> These “topographic” elements shape a new irregular \u201clandform\u201d or \u201cterrain\u201d that blurs the distinction between steps, slopes, and benches, replacing them with “slopes and surfaces for humans and other animals to walk on and stay on.” <\/span> Plants grow out of these “surfaces” at random. <\/span> In terms of floral types, we mainly chose biennial herbaceous vegetation, so that plants can intuitively respond to changes in seasons and environment. <\/span> Floating beyond \u201cterrain\u201d and vegetation are “glowing discs” that humans can use as tables and chairs, while cats may see them as playground.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u4e3a\u4e86\u8ba9\u8fd9\u4e9b\u8bbe\u8ba1\u7684\u7ed3\u679c\u66f4\u52a0\u62bd\u8c61\uff0c\u907f\u514d\u4eba\u7c7b\u4ea7\u751f\u5bf9\u6750\u6599\u548c\u5f62\u5f0f\u7684\u4efb\u4f55\u201c\u6545\u4e8b\u6027\u201d\u7684\u8054\u60f3\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u4f7f\u7528\u4e86\u5b8c\u5168\u4eba\u5de5\u7684\u6750\u6599\u548c\u51e0\u4f55\u5316\u7684\u6784\u6210\u3002\u5761\u5730\u7684\u5e73\u9762\u662f\u6811\u8102\u5236\u4f5c\u7684\u4eba\u9020\u6728\uff0c\u800c\u5706\u7247\u5219\u662f\u767d\u8272\u70e4\u6f06\u7684\u4e0d\u9508\u94a2\u6750\u6599\u3002\u8fd9\u6837\u7684\u8bbe\u8ba1\u53cd\u800c\u8ba9\u4f7f\u7528\u8005\uff08\u4eba\u7c7b\u548c\u52a8\u7269\u4eec\uff09\u66f4\u52a0\u5173\u6ce8\u6750\u6599\u672c\u8eab\u7684\u989c\u8272\u3001\u6e29\u5ea6\u3001\u786c\u5ea6\u548c\u8868\u9762\u6469\u64e6\u529b\u3002<\/p>\n

In order to make the effect of these designs more abstract and avoid any “narrative” associations with materials and forms, we used entirely artificial materials and geometric compositions. Flat surfaces of the slopes are resin-made synthetic wood, while the discs are stainless steel in white paint. Ideally, the design allows users (humans and animals) to focus instead on color, temperature, hardness and surface friction of the material itself.<\/p>\n

\u6700\u7ec8\u5448\u73b0\u7684\u7a7a\u95f4\u662f\u5730\u5f62\u3001\u690d\u7269\u3001\u5706\u7247\u4e09\u4e2a\u7cfb\u7edf\u7684\u7b80\u5355\u76f4\u63a5\u7684\u53e0\u52a0\uff0c\u4e09\u4e2a\u7cfb\u7edf\u90fd\u662f\u5300\u8d28\u7684\uff0c\u4ed6\u4eec\u7684\u4e4b\u95f4\u7684\u5173\u7cfb\u662f\u76f4\u63a5\u548c\u4e0d\u59a5\u534f\u7684\u3002\u4e09\u4e2a\u7cfb\u7edf\u50cf\u662f\u5728\u7ade\u4e89\u548c\u4e92\u76f8\u878d\u5165\uff0c\u6b63\u50cf\u662f\u5728\u81ea\u7136\u4e2d\u7684\u53d1\u751f\u7684\u4e8b\u60c5\u3002<\/p>\n

The resulting space is a simple and direct superposition of the three systems of terrain, plants and discs, all of which are homogeneous, and the relationship between them is direct and uncompromising. The three systems seem to be competing and integrating with each other, just as happens in nature.<\/p>\n
