GED Design<\/strong><\/a>: Caihe Lotus Pond Community is one of the first pilot projects for future communities in Zhejiang Province. The Ancient\u00a0Seawall Park plot is located in the core demonstration area of the community, covering an area of approximately 2 hectares. Together with the community’s two landmark public buildings (the Cultural Activity Center and the Neighborhood Center), Ancient\u00a0Seawall Park forms the living center of the entire community.<\/p>\n

Caihe Ancient\u00a0Seawall\u00a0Park is named after the ancient seawall ruins discovered underground. The ancient seawall was a stone and earth embankment built by the early inhabitants of Hangzhou to protect farmlands and residential areas from tidal incursions. The remains of the ancient sea wall are located in the center of the site.<\/p>\n

The “ancient seawall” serves as the primary vein of the landscape, spreading outward to form a temporal connection between the past and future and an emotional link between the community, culture, and nature.<\/p>\n

Centered around the ancient sea wall, the project employs sunken terrain to open and display the ancient sea wall on the east side of the Cultural Center, creating an accessible sunken space with an interactive lawn, enhancing spatial layers and flow. A greenway loop connects various surrounding nodes, shaping activity spaces with varying levels of intensity.<\/p>\n

\u4ee5\u201c\u65f6\u5149\u4e4b\u8109\u201d\u7406\u5ff5\uff0c\u56f4\u7ed5\u53e4\u6d77\u5858\u9057\u5740\u6784\u5efa\u6237\u5916\u535a\u7269\u9986\uff0c\u5851\u9020\u5168\u56ed\u6838\u5fc3\u3002\u4ee5\u9057\u5740\u4fdd\u62a4\u4e3a\u524d\u63d0\uff0c\u901a\u8fc7\u6700\u5c0f\u5e72\u9884\u7684\u624b\u6cd5\u4fdd\u7559\u9057\u5740\u539f\u59cb\u7684\u9762\u8c8c\u3002\u5c40\u90e8\u53d1\u6398\u548c\u5c55\u793a\u53e4\u6d77\u5858\u8fce\u6c34\u9762\uff0c\u7ed3\u5408\u7279\u8272\u6e38\u89c8\u7ebf\u8def\u548c\u4e92\u52a8\u6587\u5316\u5c55\u9648\uff0c\u5c55\u73b0\u53e4\u6d77\u5858\u7684\u5386\u53f2\u4e0e\u6587\u5316\u5185\u6db5\u3002<\/p>\n

The design revolves around the ancient sea wall ruins, creating an outdoor museum that serves as the core of the park. Preserving the ruins with minimal intervention, the project retains the original appearance of the site. Partial excavation and display of the sea-facing side of the ancient sea wall, along with characteristic visitor routes and interactive cultural exhibits, showcase the historical and cultural significance of the ancient sea wall.<\/p>\n
