Sophisticated engineering solutions, optimised soil depths, innovative water harvesting systems and adaptive planting strategies have enabled the creation of a flourishing celebration of nature.<\/p>\n

The park is not simply green. It is a genuinely biodiverse space that hosts thriving and growing communities of birds, butterflies and other pollinators. In the short time since its completion, crane birds, damselflies, frogs and finches have taken up residence in the park\u2019s waterways, demonstrating the power landscape architecture can have in balancing the needs of people and nature in complex urban environments.<\/p>\n

Using an algorithmic analysis of stormwater, ASPECT Studios carefully designed a series of bio-swales and stormwater channels that form a network of \u201cveins\u201d throughout the campus, capturing water and feeding it into the central lake. This system, which mimics those found in nature, slows, filters and absorbs runoff, reducing flood risk and replenishing groundwater.<\/p>\n

The central lake serves as both a stormwater reservoir and an irrigation source, supporting the park through drier periods, while also being the centrepiece of the community and event program. At its heart sits a pavilion that sweeps above and alongside the water, creating a terrace that brings people close to the water and each other.<\/p>\n

\u901a\u8fc7\u5c06\u6c34\u878d\u5165\u8bbe\u8ba1\u7684\u57fa\u7840\u7406\u5ff5\u4e2d\uff0c\u6c34\u4f5c\u4e3a\u4e00\u79cd\u81ea\u7136\u8d44\u6e90\u5f97\u5230\u4e86\u4fdd\u62a4\uff0c\u540c\u65f6\u589e\u5f3a\u4e86\u56ed\u533a\u7684\u97e7\u6027\u548c\u751f\u6001\u6027\u80fd\u3002<\/p>\n

By integrating water into the foundational thinking of the design, water is protected as a natural resource, and resilience and ecological performance is improved.<\/p>\n
