Productora<\/strong><\/a> \uff1aKymaia is a hotel project that celebrates its natural, historical, and cultural surroundings in Playa El Puertecito, located twenty kilometers south of Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca. The hotel offers a narrative experience of carefully orchestrated contrasts: the natural dialogues with the artificial, geometry complements the organic, and history establishes a harmonious balance with the contemporary.<\/p>\n

\u7531 The Book of Wa \u8d1f\u8d23\u7684\u5ba4\u5185\u8bbe\u8ba1\u3001\u666f\u89c2\u8bbe\u8ba1\u548c\u89c6\u89c9\u8bc6\u522b\uff0c\u4e0e PRODUCTORA \u7684\u5efa\u7b51\u8bbe\u8ba1\u4ee5\u53ca\u4e3b\u53a8Lalo Garc\u00eda\u7684\u70f9\u996a\u7406\u5ff5\u76f8\u878d\u5408\uff0c\u5171\u540c\u5c06\u8fd9\u4e00\u613f\u666f\u53d8\u4e3a\u73b0\u5b9e\u3002<\/span><\/p>\n

The interior design, landscaping, and visual identity\u2014developed by The Book of Wa\u2014converge with architectural design by PRODUCTORA and the culinary concept of chef Lalo Garc\u00eda to bring this vision to life. The hotel occupies a 1.5-hectare site previously dedicated to the cultivation of hibiscus flowers. This agricultural legacy is preserved through the symbolic and chromatic use of red, the emblematic color of the flower. The former farmland is now transformed into a setting that reflects the local landscape, revealing dunes, mangroves, cactus fields, flower meadows, and groves of palms, guayacans, and banana trees. Each element of the natural surroundings is integrated into the narrative, enriching Kymaia\u2019s interior spaces and brand identity, in an experience that evokes both the essence of the place and its historical memory.<\/p>\n

Three conceptual axes shape Kymaia\u2019s interiors: ceremonial pre-Hispanic vestiges, the flora and vegetation of the Oaxacan Pacific, and solar iconography. Together, they create a culturally and historically ambiguous atmosphere that resonates with the natural setting and foregrounds craftsmanship and artisanal work\u2014treated as if part of an organically accumulated collection over time.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u8fd9\u4e9b\u7269\u54c1\u7531\u70e7\u7126\u548c\u518d\u5229\u7528\u7684\u6728\u6750\uff08ACOOCOORO \u548c Taller Batan \u5236\u4f5c\u7684\u6905\u5b50\u548c\u957f\u51f3\uff09\u3001\u7740\u8272\u6811\u8102\u3001\u706b\u5c71\u77f3\u3001\u9524\u6253\u7684\u94dc\u76d8\uff08\u4eff\u4f5b\u592a\u9633\u5706\u76d8\uff09\u4ee5\u53ca Hiato \u548c\u753b\u5bb6 Arde Villano \u5408\u4f5c\u7ed8\u5236\u548c\u7f16\u7ec7\u7684\u68d5\u6988\u7ea4\u7ef4\u6302\u6bef\u5236\u6210\u3002\u8fd9\u4e9b\u7269\u54c1\u8fd8\u8f85\u4ee5\u7f16\u7ec7\u7684\u706f\u82af\u8349\u548c\u85e4\u6761\u3001DB\u00c6 \u7684\u7f8a\u6bdb\u5730\u6bef\u4ee5\u53ca\u4f17\u591a\u7279\u522b\u521b\u4f5c\u7684\u4f5c\u54c1\u3002\u9664\u4e86\u5b9e\u7528\u529f\u80fd\u4e4b\u5916\uff0c\u8fd9\u4e9b\u5143\u7d20\u8fd8\u4f5c\u4e3a\u53d9\u4e8b\u548c\u8c61\u5f81\u6027\u7684\u5143\u7d20\uff0c\u662f\u4e0e\u81ea\u7136\u7684\u8054\u7cfb\u4ee5\u53ca\u5e87\u62a4\u6240\u7684\u611f\u89c9\uff0c\u80fd\u8ba9\u6e38\u5ba2\u5728\u60c5\u611f\u4e0a\u4e0e\u8fd9\u4e2a\u5730\u65b9\u7684\u7cbe\u795e\u4ea7\u751f\u8054\u7cfb\u3002<\/span><\/p>\n

The interior design and recurring iconography evoke a sense of religious sacredness, history, connection with nature, and refuge. The solar and botanical conceptual inspiration materializes in objects crafted from materials such as charred and repurposed wood\u2014used in chairs and benches by ACOOCOORO and Taller Bat\u00e1n\u2014pigmented resins, volcanic stone, hammered copper platters evoking the solar disc, and collaborative palm-fiber tapestries painted and woven by Hiato and painter Arde Villano. These are complemented by woven tule and rattan, wool rugs by DB\u00c6, and numerous special creations. Beyond their practical functions, these elements serve as narrative and symbolic pieces that emotionally connect the visitor to the spirit of the place.<\/p>\n

\u9152\u5e97\u8bbe\u6709 22 \u95f4\u5957\u623f\uff0c\u5206\u5e03\u5408\u7406\uff0c\u786e\u4fdd\u4e86\u79c1\u5bc6\u6027\u548c\u6d77\u666f\u3002\u623f\u95f4\u7531\u73b0\u573a\u5efa\u9020\u7684\u538b\u5b9e\u571f\u5824\u73af\u7ed5\uff0c\u5f62\u6210\u9636\u68af\u72b6\u6216\u91d1\u5b57\u5854\u72b6\u7684\u4f53\u91cf\uff0c\u4e3a\u623f\u95f4\u63d0\u4f9b\u906e\u836b\u548c\u9694\u70ed\u4fdd\u62a4\u3002\u8fd9\u4e9b\u7ed3\u6784\u5728\u9152\u5e97\u5185\u8425\u9020\u51fa\u5404\u79cd\u89c6\u89c9\u573a\u666f\uff1a\u592a\u5e73\u6d0b\u7684\u5168\u666f\uff0c\u6216\u662f\u5468\u56f4\u6c99\u4e18\u548c\u5e72\u65f1\u82b1\u56ed\u7684\u666f\u8272\u3002\u571f\u5824\u5185\u8bbe\u6709\u6d74\u5ba4\u3001\u6dcb\u6d74\u95f4\u3001\u8863\u6a71\u548c\u6d74\u7f38\u7b49\u670d\u52a1\u7a7a\u95f4\u3002\u53d7\u524d\u897f\u73ed\u7259\u65f6\u671f\u9057\u8ff9\u7684\u542f\u53d1\uff0c\u8fd9\u4e9b\u51e0\u4f55\u7ed3\u6784\u4e0e\u5468\u56f4\u6709\u673a\u751f\u957f\u7684\u666f\u89c2\u5f62\u6210\u9c9c\u660e\u5bf9\u6bd4\u3002<\/p>\n

The hotel features 22 strategically distributed suites, ensuring privacy and ocean views. The rooms are framed by compacted earth berms built on-site, providing shade and thermal protection in stepped or pyramidal volumes. These structures create a variety of visual scenes throughout the property: panoramic views of the Pacific, or of the surrounding dunes and arid gardens. Within the berms are service spaces such as bathrooms, showers, closets, and bathtubs. Inspired by pre-Hispanic vestiges, these geometric structures contrast with the organic growth of the surrounding landscape.<\/p>\n

Septimus, the main restaurant\u2014led by chefs Lalo Garc\u00eda and Gaby L\u00f3pez\u2014fuses the local with the universal, sea with land. Elevated on dunes and surrounded by native vegetation, it is sheltered beneath a monumental ten-meter-high palapa resting on a solid base. This space offers an ascending path reminiscent of a pyramid, conceived as a ceremony that honors fire and the ocean. It transitions from informal, relaxed zones to a formal dining area, where light, fire, and ingredients come together in a ritual gastronomic experience. The design encourages dynamic uses\u2014work, rest, celebration\u2014in a post-pandemic context. Sustainability is evident in the use of reclaimed materials and eco-technologies such as solar panels, constructed wetlands, evapotranspiration filters, and a landscape composed of resilient native species.<\/p>\n

The culinary program is complemented by La Cueva, a fine dining wine cellar and restaurant located in the cooler, lower part of the main complex, and by the Huauchinango \u201coasis bar\u201d, where the pool is nestled among a grove of Mexican fan palms (Washingtonia robusta).<\/p>\n

The Wellness Center, named Azumi, enriches the hotel\u2019s offerings as a ritual space designed as a dry garden populated with local desert species. Designed for yoga and contemplation, Azumi features an upper terrace conceived as an observatory for sunset and stargazing in this unique region of the Mexican Pacific. Another area dedicated to yoga, known as the Shala, is distinguished by its singular architectural form\u2014combining a square floor plan with a circular roof supported directly on the sand, generating shaded areas around its perimeter.<\/span><\/p>\n

The presence of an existing mangrove enabled the expansion of this wetland area, creating a pleasant microclimate and a sinuous green concrete pool as the focal point. The design incorporates sustainable practices such as solar panels for power generation and constructed wetlands for the natural treatment of wastewater.
