In 2024, Chengdu released the Strategic Plan for Building a Beautiful Chengdu and officially launched the project initiation process for the first national standard on Park City, helping more cities develop into harmonious, sustainable, and ideal human settlements.<\/p>\n

In 2025, Chengdu is advancing 34 pilot reform tasks for Park City development in depth, accelerating the research and formulation of the national standard guidelines for Evaluating Park City Construction, while continuing to promote the development of child-friendly cities.<\/p>\n

In a joint notice issued by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), the Office of the National Working Committee on Children and Women under the State Council, and the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development (MOHURD), the List of Experience and Measures for Child-Friendly City Construction was explicitly put forward. Among them, two key measures-“promoting the child-appropriate transformation of public spaces and public service facilities” and “expanding child-friendly natural ecological spaces”-are highly aligned with the development direction of Park City.The Children’s Park project integrates the advantages of these two types of development initiatives, providing convenience for children to carry out activities such as nature exploration and social cognition. It is of great significance to the physical and mental health development of the large child population.<\/p>\n

\u201cWow, I just found another highly valued playground for a family outing!\u201d After netizen \u201cLiuliu\u201d posted a guide to visiting the Caba Caba theme park on their social media account, a flurry of curious comments immediately poured into the comment section. Today, the peak-hour visitors at the playground far exceeds its designed capacity by several times-aside from local visitors, numerous tourists from other cities also come here specially for its reputation.<\/p>\n

Located in Chengdu Tianfu New District, the Caba Caba theme park was formerly an ordinary green space of the city. As the development and construction of Tianfu New District accelerate, the surrounding area has gradually become dominated by residential-commercial and business functions. The entire district is interspersed with extensive green park spaces, showing outstanding performance in both social and natural ecosystem development. Drawing on its seasoned experience in planning and developing urban vacant land, low-efficiency land, and to-be-developed land, the project team accurately identified the city\u2019s need for utilizing this specific plot and successfully launched the \u201cCaba Caba theme park\u201d.Centered on providing urban \u201cmicro-vacation\u201d experiences, the playground is open to the public. Since its official operation in late 2024, it has become a representative case of children\u2019s theme parks in Chengdu.<\/p>\n

The playground covers a total area of 11,800 square meters, including 8,200 square meters of children\u2019s play areas and a total green area of 4,500 square meters. In terms of location, it is adjacent to Tianfu Garden City and surrounded by Chongde 4th Road, Fuzhou Road, Jiazhou Road, and Meizhou Road. For transportation, Metro Line 6 provides direct access to its main entrance; additionally, three stations of another three metro lines are within short walking distance, and driving to the playground is also highly convenient.<\/p>\n

As soon as the playground was completed, the entire design of the play space successfully obtained the international safety inspection certification of Safe to Play.
