!MELK<\/strong><\/a>\uff1aThe Barn\u662f\u52a0\u5dde\u897f\u8428\u514b\u62c9\u95e8\u6258\u6865\u5730\u533a\u7684\u8bd5\u70b9\u9879\u76ee\u2014\u2014\u8fd9\u662f\u4e00\u4e2a178\u82f1\u4ea9\u7684\u65b0\u578b\u591a\u529f\u80fd\u793e\u533a\uff0c\u8ddd\u79bb\u52a0\u5dde\u8bae\u4f1a\u5927\u53a6\u4e00\u82f1\u91cc\u3002The Barn\u4f4d\u4e8e\u8428\u514b\u62c9\u95e8\u6258\u6cb3\u7554\uff0c\u8fd9\u4e2a\u591a\u529f\u80fd\u7684\u7ed3\u6784\u6027\u5efa\u7b51\uff0c\u6a21\u7cca\u4e86\u5efa\u7b51\u3001\u666f\u89c2\u548c\u7ed3\u6784\u5de5\u7a0b\u7684\u5b66\u79d1\u754c\u9650\u3002<\/p>\n

!MELK<\/strong><\/a>\uff1aThe Barn is the pilot project for The Bridge District in the City of West Sacramento, CA \u2014 a new 178-acre mix-use neighborhood one mile from the California State Capitol. Positioned along the Sacramento River, The Barn is a multi-use structure that blurs the disciplinary boundaries of Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Structural Engineering.<\/p>\n

The Barn\u5750\u843d\u4e8e\u5317\u52a0\u5dde\u519c\u4e1a\u533a\u5185\uff0c\u5176\u96d5\u5851\u5f62\u5f0f\u6765\u6e90\u4e8e\u4e00\u9897\u53d1\u82bd\u7684\u852c\u83dc\u79cd\u5b50\u3002\u8fd9\u79cd\u96d5\u5851\u5f62\u5f0f\u8fd8\u53d7\u5230\u592a\u9633\u89d2\u5ea6\u7684\u5f71\u54cd\uff0c\u5176\u5728\u573a\u5730\u4e0a\u7684\u65b9\u4f4d\u548c\u9876\u68da\u7684\u6700\u7ec8\u5f62\u72b6\uff0c\u6700\u5927\u9650\u5ea6\u5730\u4e3a\u4f7f\u7528\u8005\u63d0\u4f9b\u4e86\u906e\u9633\u7a7a\u95f4\u3002\u6211\u4eec\u501f\u52a9\u53c2\u6570\u5316\u8bbe\u8ba1\u6765\u8fdb\u884c\u5bf9\u4f20\u7edf\u8c37\u4ed3\u5efa\u7b51\u6784\u4ef6\u7684\u73b0\u4ee3\u5316\u8be0\u91ca\uff0c\u4ece\u800c\u4fc3\u8fdb\u4e86\u6574\u4f53\u5efa\u7b51\u6982\u5ff5\u7684\u5f62\u6210\u3002<\/p>\n

Situated within the larger Northern California agricultural zone, the sculptural form of \u00a0The Barn is inspired by a sprouting vegetable seed. This form is further informed by sun angles, whereby The Barn\u2019s orientation on the site and the ultimate shape of its canopy maximizes the amount of shade created, for the benefit of its users. The overall architectural concept is facilitated by a contemporary interpretation of traditional barn building components with the aid of parametric design.<\/p>\n

\u4ece\u7ed3\u6784\u4e0a\u6765\u8bf4\uff0c\u8fd9\u5ea7\u5efa\u7b51\u7684\u8bbe\u8ba1\u4f3c\u4e4e\u662f\u8981\u6311\u6218\u91cd\u529b\u4f5c\u7528\u3002\u53cc\u60ac\u81c2\u7531\u4e0a\u5c42\u7ed3\u6784\u4ece\u4e24\u4e2a\u72ec\u7acb\u7684\u57fa\u7840\u4e0a\u5411\u4e0a\u4f38\u5c55\uff0c\u5728\u9876\u70b9\u6c47\u5408\u5f62\u6210\u4e00\u4e2a\u5f2f\u66f2\u7684\u9876\u68da\u3002\u6a2a\u6881\u548c\u6841\u67b6\u662f\u7531\u80f6\u5408\u5c42\u538b\u6728\u6750\u5efa\u9020\u7684\u3002\u95f4\u6b47\u6027\u7684\u94a2\u5236\u52a0\u56fa\u7269\u5c06\u5404\u79cd\u6841\u67b6\u8fde\u63a5\u5728\u4e00\u8d77\uff0c\u52fe\u52d2\u51fa\u4e86\u6574\u4f53\u7684\u6784\u67b6\uff0c\u4ece\u4e24\u7aef\u95ed\u5408\u7684\u201c\u8c46\u835a\u201d\u4e2d\u4ee5\u53ca\u9876\u68da\u4e0b\u65b9\u770b\u53bb\u5747\u5341\u5206\u4f18\u7f8e\u3002\u8be5\u7ed3\u6784\u7684\u5916\u58f3\u662f\u7531\u6728\u6750\u6784\u4ef6\u6784\u6210\u7684\uff0c\u5c06\u8fd9\u4e9b\u6728\u6750\u6784\u4ef6\u6309\u540c\u4e00\u65b9\u5411\u5e76\u6392\u653e\u7f6e\uff0c\u7531\u5176\u521b\u5efa\u7684\u76f4\u7ebf\u6765\u751f\u6210\u66f2\u7ebf\uff0c\u5728\u6b64\u66f2\u7ebf\u57fa\u7840\u4e0a\u9644\u7740\u6728\u74e6\u7247\u5f62\u6210\u5c4b\u9876\u3002<\/p>\n

Structurally, the building is designed to seemingly defy gravity. As a double cantilever, the superstructure springs upward from two independent foundations, meeting at a dramatic apex that forms a sinuous canopy. The beams and trusses are constructed from glued laminated wood. Intermittent steel reinforcements join the various trusses into beautifully expressed trestles visible from within the two enclosed \u201cpods\u201d and from the exposed underside of the canopy. The shell of the structure is achieved by using nominal wood members, laid side-by-side in a singular direction, to create straight line generated curves upon which the shingle roofing can be applied.<\/p>\n

\u4ece\u521b\u9020\u7a0b\u5e8f\u4e0a\u6765\u8bf4\uff0c\u8be5\u9879\u76ee\u7531\u4e24\u4e2a\u4f4d\u4e8e\u7ed3\u6784\u4f53\u4e24\u7aef\u4e14\u5747\u4e0e\u5730\u9762\u3001\u9732\u5929\u9876\u68da\u76f8\u8fde\u7684\u201c\u8c46\u835a\u201d\u7ec4\u6210\uff0c\u8be5\u201c\u8c46\u835a\u201d\u8fd8\u4e0e\u80fd\u5c06\u6cb3\u6d41\u6b65\u9053\u4ee5\u53ca\u65b0\u7684\u5f00\u53d1\u533a\u57df\u8054\u7cfb\u8d77\u6765\u7684\u5916\u90e8\u666f\u89c2\u76f8\u8fde\u3002\u201c\u8c46\u835a\u201d\u4e3a\u8bbe\u65bd\u5e26\u6765\u4e86\u4e00\u5b9a\u7a0b\u5ea6\u7684\u7075\u6d3b\u6027\u3002\u8f83\u5927\u7684\u201c\u8c46\u835a\u201d\u53ef\u4ee5\u9002\u7528\u4e8e\u4e00\u4e2a\u9910\u5385\uff0c\u8f83\u5c0f\u7684\u201c\u8c46\u835a\u201d\u53ef\u4ee5\u4f5c\u4e3a\u540c\u4e00\u96c7\u4e3b\u7684\u7b2c\u4e8c\u4f7f\u7528\u573a\u5730\uff0c\u6216\u8005\u53ef\u7531\u5b8c\u5168\u4e0d\u540c\u7684\u96c7\u4e3b\u6765\u8fd0\u4f5c\u3002\u65e0\u8bba\u96c7\u4e3b\u60c5\u51b5\u5982\u4f55\uff0c\u6bcf\u4e2a\u201c\u8c46\u835a\u201d\u90fd\u80fd\u63d0\u4f9b\u8db3\u591f\u7684\u6237\u5916\u5ea7\u4f4d\uff0c\u5e76\u4e14\u8fd9\u4e9b\u5ea7\u4f4d\u4f4d\u4e8e80\u82f1\u5c3a\u957f\u300120\u82f1\u5c3a\u9ad8\u7684\u9876\u68da\u4e0b\u7684\u9634\u51c9\u5904\u3002<\/p>\n

Programmatically, the project is comprised of two \u201cPods\u201d from which each side of the superstructure contacts the ground, an open air canopy, and a larger landscape that connects to the river walk and new development. The \u201cPods\u201d introduce a level of flexibility to the facility. The larger Pod is outfitted to accomodate a restaurant and the smaller Pod outfitted to accomodate a secondary-use of the same tennant, or can be operated by a completely different tennant. Regardless of tennancy, each Pod has ample outdoor seating that is protected from the sun beneath an 80-foot long canopy that soars 20-feet in the air.<\/p>\n
