Metrostudio\uff1a<\/strong><\/a>Changzhou is a famous cultural city in south China with a history of over 2560 years. For thousands of years, the beijing-hangzhou grand canal across the city in changzhou. Established by the famous industrialist liu guojun in 1936, Dacheng No.3 Factory\u00a0was once bustling, after nearly 100 years of history, only the spectacular gatehouse can imagine the prosperity in the past. Mottled walls, a hundred years of trees, tell the story of the past in the wind. On December 30, 2011, Dacheng No.3 Factory\u00a0was awarded the cultural relic protection unit of jiangsu province, which has become a modern important historical sites and representative buildings.<\/p>\n

Every time I walked into the site, I seem to hear the historical story of Liu Guojun leading Dacheng No.3 Factory to save the nation.<\/p>\n

With textile culture and canal culture as the theme, changzhou hongyang tianxian district will build a cultural tourism complex of 500,000 square meters by relying on Dacheng No.3 Factory. Integrating humanistic business, leisure tourism and residence in one, it has built a multi-functional living city integrating cultural protection architecture, leisure tourism, arts and humanities, public square, residence and garden office, etc., a changzhou version of “new world”.<\/p>\n

With the passage of time, Dacheng No.3 Factory has re-entered people’s vision as a cultural protection building in Changzhou, As an exhibition area of plant renovation and urban regeneration, Dacheng No.3 Factory has been integrated into people’s life again. Combining the culture of the republic of China and the beijing-hangzhou canal culture of Dacheng No.3 Factory, as well as the old factory building and the century-old tree of the site, we re-integrate resources in a low-key manner and re-create a pearl on the edge of the canal under the guidance of the site’s own characteristics.<\/p>\n

Opening the door of history, what you see is the extraction of “beijing-hangzhou canal ship” from the unique historical memory. For thousands of years, on the ancient canal, the freighter flows from the south to the north, which writes too many stories for this famous city in the south of the Yangtze river.\u00a0The “Beijing – Hangzhou Canal Boat” was designed to bring visitors’ thoughts back to those past years.<\/p>\n

The design preserves the original century-old trees in the base, walk along the avenue, several hundred years huge camphor stands upright, everywhere green, quiet, comfortable, satisfied. Add some distinctive textile cultural sculptures, interspersed with them to highlight the theme and retain the memory of the old textile factory.<\/p>\n

On the design of the landscape wall, the designer adopts modern and concise lines and sorts through the array of new material u-shaped glass. Open mirror waterscape, clean sunshine on the lawn, green towering trees, shade into a forest. U-shaped glass, with cracks in the wall, and interwoven space, with its unique simple and hazy texture, as well as changes in light and shadow and colors of the lawn, create rich and delicate space experience. The autumn wind, water and trees, light and leaves, there is a beautiful artistic conception of “the phoenix tree leaves fall and the world knows the autumn”.<\/p>\n

Through a deep understanding of nature, culture and design, the designer uses the elements of the Grand Canal, Dacheng Factory, Old Wharf, and Republic of China architecture to express them in the way of modern art and to interpret the oriental aesthetic concept of ” world brocade”. And take the canal landscape as a guide, incorporate the charm of the classical Republic of China architecture, continue the context of the Republic of China, and create a city name card that is internally harmonious and compatible with Changzhou’s history. The textile elements in the textile culture are extracted to create a characteristic landscape wall, echoing the textile culture. The wooden platform provides participants with an ecological, natural and comfortable atmosphere.<\/p>\n

Up the stairs, the proximal end of the stairs is a delicate group of plants, and red maple reflects graceful shadows on the white landscape wall. Based on the landscape planning and design of the old factory building reconstruction, the plant landscape is combined with different colors of trees, shrubs and grasses to create a special cultural atmosphere, so that the overall cultural and artistic effect has integrity.<\/p>\n
