Mecanoo<\/strong><\/a>: \u00a0The Technical University of Delft gains a campus with undulating lawns and colourful trees, a campus that invites one to stroll, read, meditate, debate, eat and drink. Shaped like a bolt of lightning the promenade links the faculty buildings with one another and symbolizes the interdisciplinary character of the university. The promenade is playfully criss-crossed by a grid of footpaths, reminiscent of Mikado sticks that have been scattered randomly. The formerly sharp differences in height of the park – the previous parking lots were at a lower grade – have been transformed into gentle slopes. Existing trees have been saved or moved as much as possible and form a ribbon winding through the park. Flower Fields and Prunus trees gently announce the spring. The introduction of tram line 19, connecting Leidschendam with the Technical University via Delft Central Station, establishes the campus as a car-free zone.<\/p>\n

\u6885\u514b\u5c14\u516c\u56ed\u957f830\u7c73\uff0c\u5bbd80\u7c73\u3002 \u5b66\u751f\u3001\u6559\u804c\u5458\u5de5\u548c\u8bbf\u5ba2\u4e58\u5750\u6709\u8f68\u7535\u8f66\u548c\u516c\u5171\u6c7d\u8f66\u901a\u8fc7\u6b64\u5904\u5171\u4f1a\u7ecf\u8fc7\u4e09\u4e2a\u8f66\u7ad9\uff0c\u6bcf\u4e2a\u7ad9\u70b9\u7684\u8bbe\u8ba1\u4e0e\u6b65\u9053\u7684\u8bbe\u8ba1\u8bed\u8a00\u4fdd\u6301\u7edf\u4e00\u3002Nieuwe Delft\u662f\u8fd9\u5ea7\u957f832\u7c73\u7684\u6b65\u9053\u7684\u540d\u5b57\uff0c\u65e8\u5728\u547c\u5e94\u5fb7\u5c14\u592b\u7279\u5e02\u4e2d\u5fc31315\u7c73\u957f\u7684Oude Delft\u8fd0\u6cb3\u8857\u3002 \u5fb7\u5c14\u592b\u7279\u7406\u5de5\u5927\u5b66\u9009\u62e9\u5c06\u5fb7\u5c14\u592b\u7279\u5e02\u7684\u54c1\u8d28\u5e26\u5165\u6821\u56ed\u3002 Nieuwe Delft\u8def\u9762\u7531\u952f\u5236\u7684\u82b1\u5c97\u5ca9\u5236\u6210\uff0c\u8def\u7f18\u540c\u6837\u91c7\u7528\u4e86\u82b1\u5c97\u5ca9\uff0c\u8def\u7f18\u77f3\u603b\u957f\u4e3a1547\u7c73\u3002<\/p>\n

Mekel Park is 830 meters long and 80 meters wide. Trams and buses bring students, staff and visitors to three stops which are designed in the same formal language as the promenade. Nieuwe Delft is the name for this 832-meter long promenade, and refers to the 1315-meter long Oude Delft canal street in the city centre of Delft. The TU Delft chose to bring the quality of the city of Delft to the campus. The Nieuwe Delft is made out of sawn granite stones and is bordered by a granite bench that spans the entire 1547 meter length.<\/p>\n

\u6885\u514b\u5c14\u516c\u56ed\u662f\u56fd\u9645\u5b66\u751f\u548c\u6559\u804c\u5458\u5de5\u7684\u975e\u6b63\u5f0f\u805a\u4f1a\u573a\u6240\uff0c\u540c\u65f6\u4e5f\u662f\u5927\u5b66\u7684\u8bd5\u9a8c\u573a\u3002\u5728\u4e4b\u540e\u7684\u63d0\u4ea4\u7684\u5e94\u7528\u5de5\u7a0b\u5e74\u5ea6\u63d0\u6848\u4e2d\u4f1a\u63d0\u51fa\u589e\u52a0\u5176\u6c38\u4e45\u6027\u7684\u6237\u5916\u5c55\u89c8\u7684\u7528\u9014\u3002\u6885\u514b\u5c14\u516c\u56ed\u662f\u5927\u5b66\u5f00\u5c55\u6d3b\u52a8\u7684\u7406\u60f3\u573a\u6240\uff0c\u5982\u5b66\u6821\u5f00\u653e\u65e5\u548c\u4ecb\u7ecd\u5468\u3002<\/p>\n

Mekel Park is the informal meeting place for (inter)national students and staff of the TU, and is at the same time used as a proving ground for the university. Annual proposals may be submitted in applied engineering for a permanent changing outdoor exhibition. Mekel Park is an ideal location for university activities, such as Open Days and school Introduction Week.<\/p>\n
