Sn\u00f8hetta<\/strong><\/a>\uff1aThe new International Centre for Cave Art (Centre International d\u2019Art Parietal) in Montignac, France welcomes visitors to an immersive educational experience of the prehistoric Lascaux cave paintings. Known by archaeologists as the \u2018Sistine Chapel of Prehistory\u2019 due to their spiritual and historical significance, the 20,000-year-old paintings are among the finest known examples of art from the Paleolithic period. Architects Sn\u00f8hetta and SRA, alongside scenographer Casson Mann, worked closely with a team of archaeologists to create a holistic museum and educational experience. As an interpretation center featuring state-of-the-art experiential storytelling technology paired with a facsimile of the caves, Lascaux IV offers visitors an opportunity to discover the caves in a unique way that reveals a sense of wonder and mystery, as if they, too, were the first group of adventurers to stumble upon the cave paintings.<\/p>\n

\u65b0\u7684\u62c9\u65af\u79d1\u7b2c\u56db\u6d1e\u7a74\u535a\u7269\u9986\u4f4d\u4e8e\u4e24\u4e2a\u72ec\u7279\u666f\u89c2\u7684\u4ea4\u6c47\u5904\uff0c\u5728\u4e00\u4e2a\u68ee\u6797\u8302\u5bc6\u3001\u53d7\u4fdd\u62a4\u7684\u5c71\u5761\u548cVezere\u6cb3\u8c37\u4e4b\u95f4\u3002Snnohetta\u7684\u8bbe\u8ba1\u5c06\u535a\u7269\u9986\u89c6\u4e3a\u666f\u89c2\u4e2d\u7684\u4e00\u4e2a\u7cbe\u81f4\u7684\u5207\u53e3\uff0c\u5c06\u6e38\u5ba2\u5e26\u5165\u4e00\u4e2a\u5145\u6ee1\u53f2\u524d\u53f2\u7684\u5947\u5f02\u4e16\u754c\u3002\u901a\u8fc7\u5728\u5f53\u4ee3\u8bbe\u8ba1\u4e2d\u6784\u5efa\u6d1e\u7a74\u590d\u5236\u54c1\u7684\u4f53\u9a8c\uff0c\u8fd9\u79cd\u65b9\u6cd5\u5bf9\u6297\u4e86\u6f5c\u5728\u7684\u6280\u5de7\u9677\u9631\uff1a\u8be5\u65b9\u6cd5\u7684\u7269\u8d28\u6027\u548c\u51e0\u4f55\u5f62\u72b6\u8ba9\u53c2\u89c2\u8005\u80fd\u591f\u7406\u89e3\u5b83\u4eec\u662f\u4e00\u4e2a\u590d\u5236\u7684\u5b58\u5728\uff0c\u800c\u4e0d\u4f1a\u5206\u6563\u5bf9\u6ce8\u610f\u529b\u7684\u5f71\u54cd\u3002\u535a\u7269\u9986\u7684\u5f62\u5f0f\u548c\u6750\u6599\u6709\u4e00\u4e2a\u6574\u4f53\u7684\u3001\u51b7\u9759\u7684\u8868\u8fbe\uff0c\u5b83\u5411\u5468\u56f4\u7684\u81ea\u7136\u548c\u5d4c\u5165\u5728\u5c71\u4e0a\u7684\u5de8\u5927\u7684\u5ca9\u77f3\u7ed3\u6784\u8bc9\u8bf4\u7740\uff0c\u4e00\u79cd\u65b0\u7684\u516c\u5171\u519c\u4e1a\u666f\u89c2\u6b63\u56f4\u7ed5\u7740\u5b83\u5c55\u5f00\u3002<\/p>\n

The new Lascaux IV Caves Museum is situated at the intersection of two unique landscapes, between a densely-forested, protected hillside and the agricultural V\u00e9z\u00e8re Valley. Sn\u00f8hetta\u2019s design conceives the museum as a fine cut in the landscape, inviting visitors into a curious world of prehistory. By framing the experience of the cave replica in contemporary design, the approach counters the potential trap of artifice: the materiality and geometry of the approach allows the visitor to understand that they are in the presence of a reproduction, without distracting from the power of its impact. The form and materiality of the museum have a monolithic, sober expression, speaking to the surrounding nature and the massive rock formations embedded in the hill, with a new public, agricultural landscape unfolding around it.<\/p>\n

\u53c2\u89c2\u8005\u7684\u4f53\u9a8c\u987a\u5e8f\u662f\u7ecf\u8fc7\u7cbe\u5fc3\u5b89\u6392\u7684\u3002\u4ece\u5927\u5385\u5f00\u59cb\uff0c\u6e38\u5ba2\u4e58\u5750\u7535\u68af\u767b\u4e0a\u5c4b\u9876\u4e0a\u7684\u89c2\u666f\u53f0\uff0c\u4ed6\u4eec\u53ef\u4ee5\u5728\u90a3\u91cc\u6b23\u8d4f\u8499\u8482\u5c3c\u4e9a\u514b\u548c\u7ef4\u6cfd\u5c14\u5c71\u8c37\u7684\u58ee\u4e3d\u5168\u666f\u3002\u7136\u540e\uff0c\u4ed6\u4eec\u6cbf\u7740\u4e00\u4e2a\u5e73\u7f13\u7684\u659c\u5761\u8d70\u5411\u53c2\u89c2\u6d1e\u7a74\u590d\u5236\u54c1\uff0c\u6cbf\u7740\u5c4b\u9876\u7684\u659c\u5761\u5411\u68ee\u6797\u8fb9\u7f18\u8d70\u53bb\uff0c\u76f4\u5230\u5230\u8fbe\u590d\u5236\u54c1\u5c55\u89c8\u5385\u7684\u5165\u53e3\u3002\u873f\u8712\u7684\u5c0f\u5f84\u7a7f\u8fc7\u666f\u89c2\uff0c\u5e76\u9010\u6e10\u964d\u4f4e\u5761\u5ea6\uff0c\u8fd9\u6709\u52a9\u4e8e\u5728\u65f6\u95f4\u548c\u7a7a\u95f4\u4e2d\u8fdb\u884c\u5fc3\u7406\u8f6c\u53d8\uff0c\u521b\u9020\u4e86\u4e0e1940\u5e74\u6d1e\u7a74\u7b2c\u4e00\u4e2a\u53d1\u73b0\u8005\u76f8\u4f3c\u7684\u4f53\u9a8c\u3002<\/p>\n

The visitor experience is carefully sequenced. Beginning in the lobby, visitors ascend by a lift to the belvedere out on the roof, where they can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of Montignac and the V\u00e9z\u00e8re Valley. They then descend a gentle slope towards the cave facsimile, which follows the incline of the roof towards the edge of the forest until reaching the entrance to the replica. The winding path through the landscape and gradual descent back down to grade facilitates a mental transition through time and space, creating an experience similar to that of the cave\u2019s first discoverers in 1940.<\/p>\n
