LANDPROCESS\u00a0\uff1a<\/strong><\/a>The 2018 Equity Fellow, Kotchakorn Voraakhom (Kotch) is a Bangkok-based urban landscape architect and highly active campaigner advocating for green public space. Here the idea of green public space is not only for recreation but also act as the urban green infrastructure that also involves the enhancement of public health in the society. Her latest project with Faculty of Medicine of Ramathibodi hospital is another great example in implementing her believe in action.Once ignore helicopter pad, The 2,400 square meter concrete rooftop is turned into the biggest healing garden in Thailand. This healing garden on the green roof is located on the 10th floor of The Somdech Phra Debaratana Medical Centre.<\/p>\n

Kotch\u4e3a\u533b\u9662\u89c4\u5212\u53d1\u5c55\u5efa\u7acb\u4e86\u201c\u7eff\u8272\u533b\u9662\u201d\u7684\u613f\u666f\uff0c\u81f4\u529b\u4e8e\u4e3a\u5bc6\u96c6\u7684\u6df7\u51dd\u571f\u533b\u9662\u521b\u9020\u66f4\u591a\u7eff\u8272\u533a\u57df\uff0c\u5e76\u5229\u7528\u53ef\u80fd\u7684\u5e9f\u7269\u7a7a\u95f4\u521b\u9020\u66f4\u597d\u7684\u6cbb\u7597\u73af\u5883\u3002\u533b\u9662\u7684\u5065\u5eb7\u73af\u5883\u88ab\u8ba4\u4e3a\u662f\u5eb7\u590d\u8fc7\u7a0b\u7684\u5173\u952e\u7ec4\u6210\u90e8\u5206\u3002\u89c4\u5212\u548c\u8bbe\u8ba1\u4e3a\u7528\u6237\u63d0\u4f9b\u4e86\u4e0e\u81ea\u7136\u91cd\u65b0\u8fde\u63a5\u7684\u7269\u7406\u7a7a\u95f4\u3002\u4e3a\u75c5\u4eba\u3001\u5bb6\u5c5e\u3001\u6765\u8bbf\u8005\u548c\u5de5\u4f5c\u4eba\u5458\u5851\u9020\u5065\u5eb7\u884c\u4e3a\u548c\u5e78\u798f\u7684\u5173\u952e\u3002<\/p>\n

Establishing the vision of \u2018Green hospital\u2019 for the hospital planning development, Kotch has been involved to create more green areas to a dense concrete hospital and to utilize the possible waste space to create the better healing environment. The healthy environment of the hospital is considered as the crucial component of the healing process. The planning and design provide physical spaces for the users to reconnect with nature. The key to shaping the healthy behavior and well-being to patients, families, visitors and their staffs.<\/p>\n

The Ecotherapy concept is applied to enhance the therapeutic experience. The proved evidence of better recovery in physical sickness with the touch of natural elements. Sunlight, plants aroma, the soothing green view can increase the positive effect on the mental and physical health of visitors. This healing garden design brings a sense of peace, serenity, and healing experience through landscape architecture design.<\/p>\n
