ArquitectonicaGEO ：Guangzhou SF multifunctional development projects include banks, office buildings, hotels / residential buildings, cultural centers, department stores, green roofs and ground squares. The carefully designed development center brings sustained economic benefits to developers and can meet the needs of comprehensive use. The architect will maximize the green area and creatively carry out the layout. Green roofs and squares provide highly aesthetic public facilities for building users and even the surrounding communities. The design of the building covers the three sustainable elements of health, environment and economic feasibility.
The characteristic open green space is very important for large-scale construction projects that cover only 12.1 acres. In this project, multi-storey intensive green roofs and squares have formed parks, shopping malls, restaurants and public gathering areas. The 2.0 – acre roof garden on the third floor above the mall is functionally and visually integrated with office buildings, hotels / residential buildings, department stores, catering areas and cultural centers, and at the same time forms a green highland with an overview of the surrounding urban landscape. It frees people from the outdoor experience of relying on cars and becomes a quiet and lively part of the whole design. The roof garden on the fourth floor covers an area of 0.55 acres and serves the hotel / residential unit, continuing the aesthetics and ecology of the entire green roof system. The nearly 3 – acre ground square connects the project with the surrounding environment, subway station, underground parking lot and service area. the decorated heaven and ventilation holes bring light and air to the underground floor.
The intensive roof garden has a soil depth of 6.5 feet. it is planted with different kinds of large trees, dense local plants or other species. compared with the traditional green roof system, it has better environmental function: the powerful air purification and carbon dioxide absorption functions of the large trees can slow down the greenhouse effect, and evaporation and shade trees can produce better cooling effect. Green roofs, high reflectivity and concrete pavement help the shopping malls below to block heat, thus achieving the effects of prolonging the service life of buildings, reducing building energy consumption and reducing the contribution of buildings to the urban heat island effect. Buildings 1 and 2 have won LEED gold medal certification issued by the us green building Committee ( usgbc ), among which landscape design and innovative design of buildings have made at least four contributions.
Designers have reduced the area of impermeable layer, and used planting beds on green roofs to absorb, slow down and treat rainwater runoff and direct rainwater to vegetation. In this way, only a small amount of artificial irrigation is needed to meet the growing needs of plants. These green plants are all selected and arranged according to the habitat conditions, climate and design intent. Plants and soil come from the local area.
The design concept of happiness and well-being of the project can be seen everywhere. The area is open to the surrounding buildings. it is warm, elegant, convenient and friendly, sending out an atmosphere of stability and tranquility. The roof garden and the street square can be seen from the high floor of the project building and the nearby buildings, bringing a natural oasis to the modern city. The roof garden has a quiet and cool seating area and a noisy dining area, which is decorated with artistic and media elements. you can enjoy quiet moments here and meet friends. People feel the fragrance from plants. insects collect pollen and nectar. In addition, you can also see some plants with unique Asian characteristics.
The open green space is arranged in three dimensions: the staircase connects the lush green belt on the ground with the roof garden on the flat top of the shopping mall, forming a nearly natural geological landscape instead of a common building. At night, blue lights on the steps shine on the waterfall waterscape, enhancing the landscape effect. The wave-like glass atrium rises and falls along the air garden, further highlighting the topographical features of the green space. Sunshine through the atrium fills the entire four-story shopping mall space, increasing openness and transparency. The roof garden is accessible from both the street and the shopping mall, so that the green roof forms a natural whole with the street landscape and other components of the project.
