BLUES: Alternatively, a slightly more fluid version:
A Spatial Progression from “Shape” to “Force” …
For Luhu Jinyue, Blue Tone Landscape’s first decision was how to step back — not to be noticed. The community was already mature, the buildings selfpossessed, the environment stable, life ongoing. Any further landscaping effort would only create noise. So we chose restraint: no added rhetoric, no emotional peaks — just structure, scale, and time letting space stand on its own.
Our design begins with shì (momentum, force). We don’t chase immediate form; we care about the flow of walking, the ease of lingering, and the durable order that will hold up under future use. Paths aren’t underlined but always feel right; places have no names yet people always stop there. The floating island landscape becomes a buffer — a delay between life and architecture — letting the everyday unfold naturally.
“Designing for the future” doesn’t mean scripting everything in advance — it means making space for time. Truly highlevel design isn’t in a hurry to finish; it just gets the crucial judgments right. At Luhu Jinyue, landscape is not an outcome — it is a process that has already gained momentum: quiet but sure, unassertive but enduring. That is Blue Tone Landscape’s understanding and practice of the contemporary community landscape.
Window Embracing a Thousand Snows — meaning to borrow the beauty of nature, gather the spiritual essence of heaven and earth, and create a visual art where every season offers a different view.
Gate Anchoring Ten Thousand Boats — symbolizing the return of wealth and life’s grand voyage, echoing the auspicious meaning in Eastern feng shui that “gathering water brings fortune.” The design must seamlessly integrate contemporary minimalist aesthetics, poetic (humanistic spirit), and subtle metaphors of hidden wealth.

he Momentum Rising – Gate of Taking Flight
This is not a gateway. It is a boundary state between city and community. We reject a declarative entrance. Instead, we lower, extend, and stretch the interface, using a continuous horizontal order to create an urban spine that is meant to be passed through. The space does not celebrate arrival — it builds a buffer before entry. Here, you decelerate. Your horizon flattens. Your body makes a seamless transition from the city.
Opening to the World | The First Breath
A 111-meter super wingspan unfolds in a symmetrical composition, like a prelude set in space. Stone-clad columns interweave with translucent ceramic screens, traced by delicate metal lines. Warm light and shadow flow gently across the surfaces, shaping a grand yet understated arrival gateway.
Water features unfold along the approach, with scenes revealed step by step. Ornamental metalwork meets textured stone, while reflections and flowing water overlap in gentle rhythm. Amid soft murmurs and lush greenery, the ritual of returning home gradually comes into view.
Potential Accumulated – The Introverted Realm
The sunken form is not for theatrical effect — it is a reclamation of spatial energy. The ground pulls inward from the horizontal city, creating a quiet, cohesive daily domain sheltered by its own boundaries. There is no central spectacle here — just light, breeze, and decelerated actions within an embrace. This space earns its worth not by being seen, but by being lived in, repeatedly.
Observing All Phenomena | The Core Upheld by the City
The sunken courtyard features winding, dynamic water forms following the “Nine-Bend Water” layout, capturing and guiding airflow while gathering vitality and fortune. Meandering waves shift with each step, revealing the courtyard’s unique rhythm and aura.
Plants are thoughtfully arranged around the water, creating a tranquil and comfortable atmosphere. Within this space, one can naturally unwind, savor the warmth and comfort of home, and leisurely immerse in serene moments.
Momentum in Motion – The Flowing Interface
The walkway is conceived as a spatial profile that never stops evolving. It links different parts of the site, modulates scale strings, stitches rhythms. It is not a corridor — it is a medium letting the body feel the passage of time.
Walking inside, space expands around you; the landscape refuses a single climax, only continuity. Here, the great rocwhale’s momentum finally shows itself — not as an explosion, but as an uninterrupted movement forward.
Witnessing a Thousand Sails | The Expansive Realm Where the Wind Rises
An executive lounge crafted within the eaves space, commanding expansive views and a privileged spatial frontage, offering a relaxed, vibrant social atmosphere with a strong sense of privacy and exclusivity.
The landscape gallery integrates both arrival and visitor routes, where movement and leisure intertwine. With every step, views shift and unfold—inviting pause and appreciation—transforming the space into a flowing sequence of under-cornice scenery.
Wangyou Valley is a carefully crafted, immersive natural retreat, offering a full-spectrum experience of the untamed beauty and charm of nature.
Through control of scale, modulus, and jointing logic, spatial order arises naturally.
The LOGO went through several iterations of pattern evolution.
Threedimensional metal flower motifs let the project express its own exclusive symbols in every detail — a fundamental mark of a truly luxurious home.
In addition to the intricate form, the material diversity is striking — just this front section alone employs 14 different textures and categories of materials.
On site, whole stones were hoisted into position, echoing the layered water imagery of Huanglong’s travertine pools. The undulating water feature is crafted from specially shaped, whole blocks of Shandong White Hemp granite, enhancing the natural texture and layered variations.
