天华园艺：重庆悦来绿心公园以新自然主义为理论内核，将场地近百米高差、陡坡与消落带等山地约束条件，转化为立体生态景观的核心优势，构建适配重庆气候与地形的低干预、高稳定、季相连续的多年生植物群落，实现山地生态韧性与自然主义美学的统一。
Tianhua Horticulture: Yuelai Green Heart Park in Chongqing takes New Naturalism as its core landscape design concept. It transforms mountainous constraints, such as a nearly 100-meter elevation difference, steep slopes and hydro-fluctuation belt, into core advantages for constructing three-dimensional ecological landscapes. Resilient perennial plant communities suited to Chongqing’s climate and landform were established, featuring minimal intervention, high ecosystem stability and seasonal succession, which realizes the integration of mountain ecological resilience and naturalistic aesthetics.

项目基底与设计逻辑
绿心公园地处两江新区悦来片区，为麓溪湖公园核心区段，属嘉陵江支流清溪河，场地呈现典型山地特征：
·垂直落差约80 米，含20 米消落带，平均坡度约30%，可活动空间不足全域 1/5；
·夏热多雨、冬湿寡照，土壤瘠薄、径流冲刷强，常规花境与草坪难以稳定存续。
Site Base Conditions and Design Logic
Located in the Yuelai Area of Chongqing Liangjiang New Area, Yuelai Green Heart Park serves as the core section of Luxi Lake Park, bordering the Qingxi River, a tributary of the Jialing River. The site features typical mountain landform characteristics:
An overall vertical relief of approximately 80 meters, including a 20-meter hydro-fluctuation belt, with an average gradient of 30% and accessible space accounting for less than one-fifth of the total area;
Climate conditions characterized by hot rainy summers, damp winters with limited sunshine. A site with barren soil and severe surface runoff erosion, making it hard for ordinary flower beds and lawns to thrive and maintain a stable landscape in the long run.

如何回应山地挑战，把“不利高差”转为“立体观景界面”。同时从自然地貌中汲取灵感，营造出阶梯、溪流、草甸、山谷等多样的立体风景，让人们沉浸于这天然的植物聚场，每一步都感受到来自大自然原生的魅力。
为了这个目标，我们团队从2024年起，研究绿心公园的下层植物方案，寻找自然的原型，分析国外优秀实践案例，在自己的苗圃基地打样试验，从图纸到场地，都经历了多次的反复修改调整，以呈现出我们最理想的可持续自然图卷。最终和甲方设计团队一起确定了以新自然主义为底层逻辑，遵循皮特·奥多夫（Piet Oudolf）“结构优先、季相叙事、群落自稳、低维护”的原则，不改造地形、不强行平整，以地貌适应性种植把“粗放生境”转为“生态自循环花园”。
Challenges were answered to transform the unfavorable elevation difference into a layered viewing experience. Drawing inspiration from natural landform, the design creates diverse layered landscapes such as terraces, streams, meadows and valleys. It immerses visitors in a natural plant gathering space, allowing people to perceive the original charm of nature at every step.
To achieve this goal, our team has conducted research on the understory planting plan of Green Heart Park since 2024. We explored natural prototypes, analyzed outstanding international cases, and carried out trial planting tests in our own nursery. From schematic design to on-site implementation, repeated revisions and adjustments have been made to present an ideal sustainable natural landscape layout. Eventually, together with the client’s design team, we established New Naturalism as the underlying design logic, following Piet Oudolf’s design principles, structural integrity, seasonal choreography, ecological coherence and low maintenance. Rather than reshaping the terrain or artificially grading the site, our design adopts landform-conforming planting, transforming the rugged habitat into a self-sustaining ecological garden.

新自然主义在山地的核心转译
绿心公园总共约5万平方米，除商业街区外，公园部分包含了缀花草甸、峡谷之环、溪谷之源、泉水广场这四大特色景区。每个景区都以独特的植物景观风貌，去回应场地空间带来的不同挑战。
Core Interpretation of New Naturalism in Mountainous Sites
Covering a total area of around 50,000 square meters, Green Heart Park consists, aside from the business streets, of four featured scenic zones: Flower-dotted Meadow, Canyon Ring, Valley Headspring and Spring Plaza. Each zone adopts a distinctive botanical landscape style to accept diverse spatial and site challenges.

缀花草甸
缀花草甸是绿心公园最具标识性的风景，在陡峭的山坡上，设计方案以“星河”为概念，在山坡中部以蓝紫色系花卉汇集形成河流，从顶部流淌至峡谷之环底部，两侧辅以多种观赏草，在秋天形成橙黄色的晚霞色彩，形成春秋两季不同的观赏画面。
Flower-dotted Meadow
The meadow dotted with flowers stands as the most iconic landscape of Green Heart Park. On the steep hillside, central to the design rests the concept of “Star River”.In the mid-slope gather clusters of blue and purple flowers. From the hilltop flows the floral ribbon down to the base of Canyon Ring. Along both sides planted assorted ornamental grasses. These grasses glow with warm sunset-orange tones in autumn, offering entirely different landscape charms in spring and autumn.

严格采用结构植物—基底植物—填充植物分层模式，适配陡坡、溪谷、台地等微地形，兼顾稳定性与观赏性：
·结构层：柳叶马鞭草、狼尾草、矮蒲苇、柳枝稷、鼠尾草类，提供竖向骨架与抗倒伏能力，强化坡面稳定；
·基底层：岷江蓝雪花、非洲鼠尾草、常绿萱草、百子莲等常绿强健品种，保障冬季景观连续性，抑制杂草；
·填充层：千鸟花、大花滨菊、墨西哥飞蓬、细裂美女樱等季节性花卉，提供季相变化与生物友好性。
The planting design strictly follows a layered model, which includes structural layer, base layer, and filler layer, so as to accommodate diverse micro-topographical conditions such as steep slopes, stream valleys and terraced platforms, while balancing ecological stability and ornamental value.
·Structural Layer Plants: Verbena, fountain grass, silver feather maiden grass, switchgrass and sage. These plants provide a vertical structural framework, enhance the resistance to lodging, and effectively stabilize hillside terrain.
·Base Layer Plants: Chinese plumbago, African sage, daylily and African lily. Evergreen and robust, this layer of plants ensures consistent winter scenery and curbs weed spread.
·Filler Layer Plants: Whirling butterflies, Shasta daisy, Mexican daisy and moss verbena—seasonal flowers that provide seasonal landscape variation and ecological compatibility.

跨越30 米高差楔形坡面，采用奥多夫混合种植与矩阵布局，并针对山地优化：
·界面糅杂：块面大小错落、边界柔化过渡，避免生硬分割，契合坡面自然肌理；
·组团隔离：功能分区阻断病虫害蔓延，提升群落抗性；
·低密度定植：预留生长空间，降低种间竞争，适配重庆多雨高湿环境；
·四季基底：以常绿植物构建底色，确保枯荣交替仍保持完整景观面。
Spanning a wedge-shaped slope with a 30-meter elevation difference, the design adopts Piet Oudolf’s naturalistic mixed planting and matrix layout approach. Some mountain-specific optimizations are as follows.
·Blended Margins: Patches are of varying sizes and feature softly transitional boundaries to avoid abrupt divisions, aligning with the slope’s natural texture.
·Massing Separation: Functional zoning interrupts the spread of pests and diseases, thereby enhancing the overall ecosystem resilience.
·Low-density Planting: Adapted to Chongqing’s rainy and humid environment conditions, adequate growing space is reserved to reduce inter-specific competition.
·Four-season Base: Evergreen plants form the underlying base, ensuring an integrated landscape throughout the cycle of flourish and wither.

峡谷之环
峡谷间，巨型螺旋环与中心喷泉交织成一股强烈的向心力，将人流自然汇聚至谷底中央。周遭植物亦顺应这股势能，以漩涡之势从边坡向谷底层层聚拢。在峡谷之环的底部，我们对色彩情绪进行了重新梳理：氛围由浪漫诗意，逐步过渡为力量之美。大量选用极具野性张力的观赏草 —— 矮蒲苇、狼尾草、白羽芒、柳枝稷等，让植物的姿态与空间气场相呼应，整体更显自然原生的磅礴张力。
Canyon Ring
Amid the canyon, a giant spiral ring and a central fountain intertwine to create a powerful centripetal force, naturally channeling the flow of visitors toward the heart of the valley floor. Surrounding plants follow this spatial momentum, converging layer by layer from the side slopes down to the valley bottom in a swirling pattern. At the base of the Canyon Ring, the color and emotional tone have been deliberately re-calibrated: the atmosphere shifts from poetic romance to the beauty of power. A selection of ornamental grasses with wild tension, including dwarf pampas grass, fountain grass, silver feather grass and switchgrass. The form of plants resonate with the spatial force, expressing a powerful, wild dynamism.

溪谷之源
若说缀花草甸是以绚烂色彩营造的油画，溪谷之源则呈现出悠然静谧的山水式林下景观，场地被茂密林冠覆盖，光影透过林隙斑驳洒落，幽暗湿润的林下环境孕育着丰富的自然生机；此处采用耐阴植物群落配置模式，选取巨蜜花、库伯蕨、荚果蕨、曼陀罗、栎叶绣球、大叶仙茅、落新妇等适应半阴生境的品种，以多层次叶色与丰富叶形形成错落交织的竖向结构，营造原生野趣的林下氛围，置身其间被浓密阔叶植被环绕，伴以溪涧流水与林间鸟鸣，构建出一处兼具生态性与意境感的森林秘境。
Valley Headspring
If the Flower-dotted Meadow is an oil painting of vivid colors, then the Valley Headspring presents a serene, woodland landscape imbued with natural charm. Shaded by dense tree canopy, the site is dappled with sunlight, and its dark humid understory forest layers foster a wealth of ecological vitality. Planted with a refined collection of shade-tolerant species—giant honey flower, Cooper’s fern, ostrich fern, datura, oakleaf hydrangea, palm grass, and astilbe—creates a richly textured vertical structure that feels naturally wild. Encircled by broad-leaved plants, with running streams and birdsong echoing through woods, it becomes an ecological forest sanctuary full of poetic atmosphere.

泉水广场
泉水广场与绿心商业紧密连接着，广场上大大小小的方块是建筑语言的延申，整个场地如黑白琴键，高低起伏地弹奏着乐章。
这里的植物景观我们曾几次尝试，遵循场地同样的语言，规则的栽植每种植物，死板生硬，失了植物本身灵动的魅力。采取自由组团的栽植方式，植物过于柔软，与场地氛围格格不入。
最终，我们依托植物自身丰富多变的肌理特质进行空间营造，以质地致密、形态规整的红豆杉构筑块状绿篱，与硬质景观形成节奏呼应，成为衔接硬质空间与软质植物景观的关键过渡载体。红豆杉绿篱之间，以质感轻盈、形态柔婉的花境植物自然穿插渗透，充分展现植物群落灵动舒展的自然特性，实现硬质界面与软质景观在肌理、质感与空间节奏上的刚柔互融与对话共生。
Spring Plaza
Spring Plaza is closely connected to the Green Heart Commercial area. The scattered blocks of varying sizes on the plaza extend the meaning of the architectural language. Like black and white piano keys, this place generally undulates in rhythmic flow.
For the planting here, we made several attempts. Planting each species in rigid rows, as if speaking the same architectural language, resulted in a stiff and lifeless look that lacked the plants’ inherent vitality. A free yet naturalistic grouping, on the other hand, felt too soft and out of place given the site’s atmosphere.
In the end, we turned to the plants’ own rich textures to shape the space. Dense and neatly formed Chinese yew hedges are planted in block-like masses, echoing the rhythm of the hard paving and serving as a transition between the rigid paved spaces and soft planting. Among the Chinese yew, border plants with light textures and graceful, flowing forms are naturally interspersed, allowing the plant communities to express their lively, unfolding character. In this way, hard surfaces and soft landscape enable a dialogue, which is a blending of rigidity and fluidity in texture, material, and spatial rhythm.

·Slope Stability and Soil Conservation: Deep‑rooted plants stabilize soil and protect slopes, effectively reducing surface runoff erosion.
·Plant Adaption for Hydro-Fluctuation Belt: By choosing species suited to intermittency of rainfall and moisture availability, thus enhance riparian resilience.
·Low‑Maintenance and Self‑Sustaining Cycle: It adopts predominantly perennial planting to minimize manual intervention and long‑term maintenance costs.
·Biodiversity Enhancement: Create a multi‑layered configuration that buzzes with color throughout multiple seasons, providing habitats for bees, butterflies and birds.
Every decision is grounded in three bottom lines: ecological security, long‑term stability, and urban friendliness.

这是一个关于时光与生长的故事。历经两载寒暑，绿心公园才终于以成熟舒展的姿态，与世人相见。我们始终期许，在这里构筑一处能够自我呼吸、自我循环的生态净土，让每一株草木都循着天性，自在地发芽、舒展、绽放、休眠，乃至悄然繁衍，让整片大地始终保有稳定而绵延的生机。从幼苗破土，到悉心浇灌、修剪、守护，我们静静陪伴了两个完整的春秋，观察它们的强弱消长，读懂彼此的共生关系，在不断调整与陪伴中，让每一种植物都寻得相宜的伙伴，在这片土地上自在生长，彼此相依，生生不息。
The Story of Time
This is a story about time and growth. After two years of cultivation, Green Heart Park has finally revealed itself to the world in a complete and well-balanced form. From the very beginning, we aspired to create an ecological sanctuary that breathes and cycles on its own,where every plant follows its innate nature, freely sprouting, stretching, blooming, resting, and multiplying, so that the entire land maintains a stable and enduring vitality.
From the moment a seedling germinated and pushed through the soil, we have been carefully watering, pruning, and protecting it, accompanying it through two full cycles of spring and autumn, which has allowed us to observe the ebb and flow and learn to read plants’ interdependencies. Through repeated adjustments and ongoing attentive care, we helped each plant find its most suitable companions—allowing them to live together, support one another, and thrive on this land.
